Nodding to Threonine, a brief motion of submission, Alaska looked up into the eyes of the Prince. "Hello, Prince." Her slight greeting gave her a moment to take in the ram, her bright eyes slightly showing a bit of wondering as to why he was here. "No, you're not interupting anything. May I ask what you require of me?" The doe let herself briefly consider that he might ask to join his harem, but she shook the thought away. Never had she been asked in her mountain herd. More likely the Prince just wanted her to go run an errand or two so the ram could enjoy himself at the Siv.

Devi's elation at Garnet's answer was quickly squashed by Blossom's coldness. He froze on the spot, his grin melting into a wide-eyed, shocked stare as he watched her walk away. He stumbled over his thoughts trying to thin of something to say to her to changer her mind before she got too far away, but nothing came to mind. He felt he should follow her though. His expression softened into worried confusion as he turned to face Garnet. "Thank you for your acceptance." He would have said something more, but his focus was now on Blossom. He gave a slight bow before rushing off after the white doe. He reached her quickly as she hadn't gotten far yet and ran ahead of her to stop her from continuing. "Hey!" He wasn't angry, just very confused which was making him A bit more pushy than he wanted. "What was that about?" The wide-eyed confusion showing once again on his face. "Do you not want a kid this season?" He cocked his head to the side in that typical questioning pose.
Forest looked up from her grazing, her ears pressed forward, wondering if she'd actually heard Blossom reject the Prime. Surely there was nothing wrong with her and Devi had made it very clear that there was nothing wrong with him. Any problem she would have with joining must not be a concern for any possible kid. Her urge to help pushed her towards the two , now talking a ways away, but her wisdom told her to stay put. It was no business of hers. Besides, Devi could handle himself. She compromised by lowering her head to graze, but taking a few steps towards them so she could hear their conversation better.

Garnet looked at Blossom, her big brown eyes widening even more. She felt utterly confused by her friend's words, and wondered why she was angry. Had it been what the Prime had said? She ran his words through her mind a few times, and thought hard. The white doe had seemed a bit touchy after he mentioned about offspring, perhaps that had been the cause. The doe shrugged to herself and looked back at Devi. "It's my pleasure," She replied, smiling from ear to ear. She bowed her head to him hastily as he thanked her and watched as he sped towards Blossom. With a small sigh, she slowly trotted towards where the other Goennecs stood and watched as they paired up and left.
Garnet suddenly had a thought niggling at her. One word ran over her mind again and again. Svartur...Svartur...Svartur,A small voice repeated in her head. The doe shook herself and looked back towards the water, towards the heartbroken looking dark coloured buck. He slowly slunk away, close to where Forest was and began grazing. Garnet sighed to herself. If he liked her that was his problem, not hers. She did not feel a single pinch of romantic love for him; to her, he was a little brother. Which made the thought even worse, and she gagged slightly, squinting. She looked around at the females and males surrounding her, just sitting down and watching them with a happy sigh. [/color]

(I'm here! How on earth did I miss your last post? I need to get my eyes checked) "Well, I can't really say I require anything of you." Threonine admitted, watching her with just as much curiosity. He smiled just a little, "It's more... a question actually. If it works for you, would you like to join my harem?" He asked, "It's your final decision of course, but I do think you'd make a wonderful mother." He wasn't really sure if she'd had a kid before, it seemed as if most of this herd's pasts were shrouded in a bit of mystery, though the thought didn't really bother him much either way. MilkyWay lay with her head on her front hooves, her eyes half closed. It was wonderful not to have to worry about the Siv, and as Nixx groomed her neck fur she made a happy rumbling sound that could almost be compaired to a purr. She could not have been happier or more content if she'd tried.

Blossom looked at Devi, surprised he had followed. Her purple eyes scanned him for a second and she sighed. Her immediate anger was gone, but she still resented his words. She still resented being treated more like a part of a collection than like herself. She hated humans for this way of treating goennecs, and somehow, she was strongly reminded of this with him just now.
"Of course I want kids. Every goennec in this herd knows I want kids. But..." her voice trailed off. She was aware that some of the other goennecs were looking, and she couldn't blame them. No doe rejected the prime when the time came.
Proud navy blue horns gleamed in the morning light as a gray, stoic goennec marched around the cluttering groups. Feathered hooves and paws pranced heavily as Sam jumped around, bleating happily and excitement rushing through his veins. The Siv. Finally the Siv was here. Everyone knew what that meant. Fights. Lots and lots of fights. It was the one time of the year when he could play all he wanted, and not seem like a childish loon.
He scanned the area, and stopped as he saw Devi approaching Garnet and Blossom. He blinked in surprise. He had been hoping to have Blossom for himself this year, as he knew she loved kids as much as he did, and she was the first he thought of for his harem. He gave an inward grin as he saw Devi being rejected and Blossom padding away. However, he saw Devi following, and his blood boiled. He already got one, why does he need to harass Blossom? I am sure that when a female says no, she means no. And Blossom isn't the type to want to be fought over.

(haha, its okay ) Nixx continued to clean her neck, even though it was super clean and wet, it made him content and happy to be near Milky Way. After a bit when her mane was shining and a bit damp, he laid his head sideways on his front paws and looks over to MilkyWay with pround shing eyes. Her lazy gaze was staring straight ahead, giving him a side view of her. She was absolutely gorgeous against the green with white polka-dotted backround. He attributes made her black fur look like a shining black jewel. He then thought how their kids would look like. If MilkyWay would even want any.. He had to ask. "Milky.." He thought for a second, "I have something to ask of you."

Talahasi looked up when he smelled an unfamiliar Goe's scent. He spotted about the pretties do he had ever seen Her coat was brown with unusual white markings spanning it. Her forehead had a full set of them and he thought they made her look divine. He trotted over to introduce himself to the beauty.
"Hello my name is Talahasi," he purred.

MilkyWay had just been thinking about all the commotion going on with the Siv and all, listening quietly to the others talk, gathering information of who was with who, ect. As much as she enjoyed the talking aspect, she was glad not to be part of it. She'd always avoided the Siv, for some Goennecs being part of a harem just isn't as appealing. *I suppose that's all part of it.* She thought, *There's the phase of your young adult life where you join harems, and then you eventually settle down. I don't regret skipping the first stage.*
She now opened her eyes the rest of the way and turned her head so that she was facing Nixx. "Ask away." She said cheerfully.

"I... Well, umm," Shock surged through the blue-eyed doe, and for the first time in a long time, Alaska found herself stumbling for words. Closing her eyes and taking a breath, she thought for a moment. This... This is big. The voice in the back of her mind was slowly prompting her to blurt out an answer she had no way of knowing if she would regret or not, and Alaska didn't want to say anything as of yet. Opening her eyes at last, the doe looked up towards the Prince, who she knew could be her friend, not just a ram wanting to find a perfect kid. Yet she also knew that she would be just part of a harem, probably nothing more. "I'm very glad for you to have asked me, of all the gorgeous does here. I- I will join your harem." The last sentence Alaska breathed out slowly, and she looked the ram in the eyes, willing him to know that she could not give up her soul quite as easily as her freedom.

Prodigy sighed as he watched the goings-on of the Siv. The one main time in his life where he was bored stiff with nothing to do. He couldn't impress the ewes, they most often took the rams too seriously this time of year, and any flirting he could get in he would get chased off by a ram who was serious. Why do they all have to be so serious around this time?! It's such a bore! A long sigh escaped him once more and he sauntered about a ways away from the main group of goennecs. He had no interests whatsoever in ever being serious with a doe, and that's what made Siv so boring for him.
He noticed, with interest, that the Prime was asking a white and green doe to join his harem, and was surprised when she rejected him. That's not something you see everyday. he thought, watching just a moment before his attention trailed to other matters. What he was going to do during this time that the does were all preoccupied with joining ram's harems. Nothing! That's all he could do! With an agitated snort he let himself slump down so that he was laying on his belly with his head on his front hooves. Maybe I can snag the next doe who comes close before some ram shoves his nose in... He thought with a cheeky grin on his face as his eyes searched through the goennecs gathered.

Cel- no, Cass- watched the herd from her hiding spot halfway to Hatter's hovel. She didn't want any of those show-off rams. She didn't want to be stuck as a number- Mate Number Whatever in the middle a godforsaken harem. No. She wanted to be the only one. She knew Aussie'd be around, somewhere, fighting for her, and that she'd have to fight him in return. He simply didn't get it... She had no feelings for him. She didn't like his company, she wasn't physically attracted to his no-doubt fine lineage, and she didn't click with his personality. Silently, she and her speckled and swirled coat pulled away and trotted to where she knew Hatter would be.
((Now both of them exist. Baha, silly goaty! <3))
Secretariat wandered around the edges of the field, halfheartedly looking for an unclaimed female, or an ewe that had rejected her victorious male. He figured there wouldn't be many, if any at all, and more than once he felt a slight pang of loneliness and wishing he was strong or more than the nothing that he was. He had spied Rannoch, and wondered if he took care of himself like that, if he could possibly get one of the ewes that were past their prime, and maybe at least get his genes passed on... but, then again, how dare he curse another with this nothingness? He tapped one of his hooves against a pebble dejectedly and continued his wandering, his deep blue eyes continuing to roam and search.

Nixx was happy MilkyWay was positive about him asking a question, but he was still very nervous. He sat up a bit and looked in front of him going over the big question he was about to ask her. Making sure all the words were right and repeating it over and over in his head. He finally got enough courage to speak, then he realized how nervous he was when only few words came out, "W-w-would you want.." He stopped abrutly and then spat it out, "kids?"

MilkyWay blinked, she looked well... surprised. Having always been the more gentle of two sisters, the more motherly by instinct, what surprised her most was that Nixx felt he needed to ask. "Wouldn't you?" She asked in a small voice, retaining the habit of responding in question. He sounded as if you would, but then... Didn't he? She certainly wouldn't mind kids, she thought kids were wonderful. "I would."
Threonine didn't even try to hide the fact that he was pleased. He lowered his head and shook out his mane, feet moving in no spacific manner simply for the sake of moving. Yet when he looked up and was caught in her gaze he realized that his victory was not entire. He was not sure if this may be a trait that Alaska alone posessed, or if other does had it too. But he'd never really looked one in the eyes before, and was nearly startled by the impression he got. Sure, she was agreeing to join his harem, that was enough for now certainly, but that wasn't all. Stubborn hardly fit, he could tell that she wasn't quite giving herself up as much as she'd expected. No, what he saw in her eyes was power. Perhaps she caught his surprised look, perhaps not. But he seemed to understand at least that one thing. Threonine blinked gratefully, "Thank you Alaska." and tilted his head ever so slightly to the side, his mind buzzing with curiosity.

Nixx smiled, "Of course I would!" He has always wanted kids of his own, but because of his reputation, he never obtained any and never thought he would in his lifetime, well not untill he met Milky Way. "And I'm glad you want them too." He was excited now. MilkyWay would be delivering my kids. That sentence rang throughout his mind, bringing him to a very happy mood. The thought about happy little Goeys made his heart flutter. He could only imagine the different personlities and looks they would have. A wide smile crossed his face, then he relaxed. His stomach grumbled loudly and he laughed, "Shall I go get us some food?"

A flicker of a smile crossed Alaska's face when she saw the ram knew she couldn't allow herself to be a selfless ewe who wondered around in a harem, made just for breeding. "I do hope you understand. Now if you wish to make your harem larger than the lower-ranking rams, you'd best be on your way. I hope you find some does more suited for the task. I will try my best to serve you." Alaska sincerely wished the ram well, and she thought that maybe, just maybe, they could grow closer. But only if he wasn't as bullheadedly arrogant as some of the annoying rams who where searching for members to add to their harems. Nodding once more, the sleek black and white doe trotted off into the mass of bodies.

Emma stood away from the herd, watching the siv with a mixed expession of confusion and amusement. To her it was nothing more than horomone crazed rams, all fired up to bash heads with each other and show off to all the does. Somehow the others found this attractive, though she found the violence to be stupid an idiotic. If any ram was going to win her heart it wasn't going to be through a contest. Not that she had high hopes of that.
She was clearly a strong goennec, and fully capable of defending herself if she had to, but her dislike of fighting kept her within the ranks of the peasants. Most of the does out ranked her, and so they usually got first pick of the males. She never really cared about it too much though. A rank was a rank. Even the prime, as one female demonstrated, could easily be denied a mate.
A few of the males stuck out from the others, standing around instead of joining the fights. She smilied, her hope of getting a mate this year renewed. If she could just catch their attention maybe she'd be lucky.

Prodigy was on the verge of putting his search for a doe on hiatus till later. They were all too close to larger rams that could easily send him toppling to the ground if he dared to approach. He'd gathered his fair share of bruises and losses that he was more cautious than usual. Which was odd for him, seeing as he preferred not to do much thinking at all on a daily basis. I am certainly not in the mood to have my face shoved into the dirt as some other ram struts off with the doe I was having a little tease with. With a gentle snort he blew air out his nostrils, watching the few blades of grass and loose stands of fur rattle in the soft breeze he'd formed. Sadly it was his only form of entertainment, which gave him a pathetic appearance to the casual observer.
With a wistful sigh he glanced up one more time. He'd had just about enough of the complete boredom, and was surprised and delighted to spot a doe on the outskirts of the hubbub. Just my luck! He was nearly ecstatic, finally, something he could do! He didn't even stop to consider thinking that maybe the doe might take him seriously as she scrambled to get to his hooves. He managed to compose himself in the slightest manner before striding towards her though. She was gray, with green pattern of swirling designs near her underbelly with a ribbon of the same color neatly tied about her neck. She was a pretty sight in all, and that gave Prodigy's mind a few flattering compliments to come up with as he strode towards her. It was about the only time when the young ram's mind really actually started working, coming up with flattering things to woo a doe with. Unfortunately, his short attention span didn't allow him to hold onto the compliments very long, so he tended to get them all out at once while coming up with new ones to spew out.
As he drew closer to her he smoothed out his stride, taking long steps and puffing out his chest a bit while holding his head high. He fixed his expression with that of a ram who's clearly trying to impress, but is also impressed himself. He spoke up when he was only about a few feet away, not wanting his words to be missed because he might be too far distanced from her. "Ello there my dear! My you're a pret'ty lit'tle thing. I think it's the ribbon, compliments your pret'ty lit'tle face quit well." He halted slightly in front and beside her, keeping up his air of dignified prestige as he winked at her flirtatiously.
{{ If you can't tell, he's got something akin to a British accent. Not sure why, it just came to me when coming up with his personality }}

Emma took another look through the herd, noticing one of the rams breaking off from the group and walking towards her. For a few seconds the doe only stood there, her mind not quite registering that he was in fact coming towards her. Though the thought excited her, she felt suddenly nervous.
Her nervousness ceased as he began talking. The ram was nothing more than a flirt. Even so, the compliments had the right effect. She giggled happily and smiled at the male. "Why thank you sir. You're quite handsome yourself. It's a very interesting pattern you have there. My name is Emma, and you?" She asked cheerfully, trying to help carry along the conversation. Though she knew within a few minutes he'd likely find himself a new doe to play with, she was enjoying his company. If nothing else it was good practice for when ever she did find herself a good mate.
Or maybe I'll just be lucky now. While it was unlikely, she still kept the thought in her head.

A curious, black colored head with red designs poked out from the treeline bordering the herds main living area. She had been wandering in the forest for most of the morning, so she had missed the announcement about the Siv beginning. She was able to figure out it had started though, from the males prancing around with giddy looks on their faces, and females either hiding or willingly joining harems. Their behaviors all amused her. Hannie wasn't really sure whether she was going to participate in the Siv this year.... after all, it was her first year with the herd and while she wasn't a stranger she tended to stray into the forest more often than not. Why would a male want me, a quiet one not well known to the herd? With a start, Hannie realized this was her first Siv; she had been on her own since as long as she could remember. No males, no herd, no Siv. This brought the slightest look of panic, but she forced it away. How was one supposed to behave? What if someone asked her to join his harem? What if no one asked her? She shrunk back into the protective shadows of the trees and allowed her dark coat to blend into the darkness, trying to protect herself in case any males did ask her -but why would they, she brought herself back to her previous argument. She had never felt so confused in her life. She couldn't bring herself to dash into the forest, though, so she lurked in the shadows, a shadow herself, and watched the other Goey's interact, absently drawing patterns in the dirt with her hooves. Her emotions and thoughts whirled relentlessly in her head. She hadn't been with the herd long enough to have anyone she trusted enough to confine in, she she endured the unknown thoughts quietly.
