Water trickled down the stream, the rocks hard under his feet, not something the floppy eared kid was used to. No amount of complaining made his mother stop on their journey however, and somehow, they had ended away from their homeland, away from the luscious fields he had been born in, and in a vast and desolated land, where cold and hunger seemed to triumph. A few laps calmed his aching throat, and a sigh escaped the bobtailed male. Sitting down, he looked up at the sky, his large brown eyes sad as he lay deep in thought.
At least it's quiet today... he thought, thinking of the outburst one of the rams had the day before, almost challenging the Prime to a fight.
Little did he know however, that he was being watched, and that his peace of mind would soon come to an end. He felt a small prod at his side, but as he turned to look, he saw no one there, although he could hear a giggle, a giggle that made his fur stand on end, making his short mane prickle with fear. "Hello?" he called out, his eyes shifting as he stood up, his ears flatter on his head than they should be. Once more, he was met by the giggle that he heard earlier, except this time, there was no prod, but a strong push that launched him straight to the water.
"Momma!!!!!" he yelped in fear, sopping wet as he got up and skidded away from the stream, fear making him clumsy as he did so, his knees almost unable to carry his weight as he ran away from the horrible place which was obviously haunted.

Deep blue eyes peered through the leaves of a nearby bush. Olympia had been planning on messing with the young spotted ram, but know she was suppressing waves of laughter as some unseen force scared the bejeezus out of the poor guy. She assumed it was just some sort of anxiety playing jokes on him and she felt a little pang of guilt at finding such a thing funny considering her own mother was constantly plagued by such feelings. She pushed that pang aside and let herself enjoy the moment.
As he fled, she followed leisurely, unafraid of the strange place they'd wandered into. When she finally caught up with him, she'd surely tease him so she spent her thoughts coming up with what she would say to him. Hopefully, her mother wouldn't catch her first.

Giggling fit making her unable to properly stand, Sihir trembled, trying to hold in the mad laughter that was threatening to bubble up. A good thing too, as Oli, another of the kids in camp, seemed to have been witnessing her pestering shy Todd. She clamped her paws over her muzzle, trying to shuffle any noise as the brown kid followed the spotted bobtailed one. In his fright, Todd had taken off in the wrong direction, going further away from the herd. A wide grin spread on the green kid's face.
Oh man, if mom and Ander find out that I am going out on my own I will be so busted... but if it's to help poor little Todd out during one of his manic episodes...
The grin on the kid grew even bigger, and stepping one paw to the front, she considered jumping planes again, but then decided against it, knowing that the chance to tease Todd again might be wasted if she did so. The happy brown female still in sight, she flicked her long tail in contempt and proceeded to follow, a happy bounce on her step, unheard by any that did not dwell in that plane.
Still trembling and running, Todd looked back for a second, wondering if he was being followed by whatever beast had haunted him, and in turn ran against a boulder that seemed to be protruding from the ground, making him see stars. His head throbbing from the rock, his fear left him due to the agonizing pain. "Stupid rock!" he yelled at it, giving it a back kick with his paws. He knew this wouldn't help his pain in the slightest, but it was one of those rare occassions when the wimpy kid showed some fighting spirit. When the victim of his kicks and headbutting couldn't fight back.

Oli heard the thud and shout, but she was too far back to have seen it. She peered curiously around the last bush separating her from him to see him unleashing on the boulder. Seeing how brave was, when only in the presence of that which he assumed could not hurt him and something so huge and indifferent as a rock, was just too much for the young doe. For a moment she held in the laughter, but it soon burst from her with a great snort, shaking her body all the way to the tip of her tail. She stumbled giddily from behind her cover as she gave up all hope of staying hidden and stood laughing like a mad goat before the other kid.

His face burning in shame, Todd heard the mad laugher behind him and turned around, only to see Olympia, one of the wildest kids of the herd, tumbling around, unable to contain herself. His ears flat on his head, he realized what a horribly disgraceful sight he must be, sopping wet and hitting rocks. His eyes scowled for a second as he attempted to look fierce, but was thrown off his stance by a strong sneeze that forced him on his rear. This brought around a second round of laughter from and unseen force. He trembled, recognizing the laughter as the one that had haunted him earlier, and he manically attempted to run away again, trying to get up and slipping on the cold rock ground, his jaw meeting the ground painfully, making the laughter even harder.

Oli was laughing so hard, she didn't notice the second voice laughing with her at first, but when Todd began to panic, she heard it too. Sure that only she and the young ram where the only ones in the clearing, her laughter faded to a nervous hum as fear gripped her as well. She looked frantically around, trying with all her senses to pinpoint the source of the third Goennec, but she couldn't. Fearfully, she backed up against a tree, attempting to keep as much of the clearing within her gaze so that whatever it was wouldn't be able to sneak up on her, that is, if it was visible at all. Normally, Oli fears little, but not being able to see this unknown presence scared her in a way she didn't know she could be scared. "H-hello?" She ventured half-bravely.

As she calmed down, Sihir noticed that Oli was just as frightened as Todd, and her face broke into a wicked grin. Having already scared Todd enough, Oli was her next victim. She could tell the kid whom was just as big a troublemaker as she was staring intently for the source of the laughter, and now that it had died, was calling out for it. Padding towards the female without a noise, as she tended to have to concentrate to be able to touch others while in this realm, she got close to Oli's side. "Boo!" she yelped in her ear, concentrating hard to materialize to the realm the others were at, not wanting to raise even more suspicions and hoping to be able to merely claim she had been around all the time, watching Todd being a goof.

The shout in her ear made Oli start violently and loose her footing. She landed hard on her side with a wide-eyed grunt of surprise. She looked up to see Sihir, a known prankster like herself and though she liked the strange green kid, she was now furious at her for her embarrassment. "Hey!" She yelled, getting back to her feet. "That wasn't funny!" Oli glared angrily at her. She was so caught up in her tumbling emotions that she didn't even think to ask where the other doe had come from. Only seconds ago, she was positive only she and Todd had been in the clearing. Her young mind had quickly forgotten this though, she was fully focused on what she saw as a cruel, humiliating joke and the need for revenge on it.

Tumbling in laughter, Sihir rolled on the rocky ground, unable to keep standing from her perfect prank. "It wasn't funny, it was hilarious! You and Todd had such scared looks on your faces," she laughed, glee on her pink eyes as she stared at Oli's angry ones. At the mention of the male kid's name however, Sihir calmed down some, noticing that he wasn't making any sound or movement as she looked his way. "Hey Todd? You alright?" she called, her ears swiveled forward as she padded towards him.
Worried, she prodded him with one forepaw, her ears flattened as she did so. The second her paw met his shoulder, she was met with a painful groan from the floppy eared kid, one of his eyes opening and glaring at her, shame clear in his eyes. A grin broke on Sihir's face as he grunted and she shook her head at him. "You are so pathetic," she told him, a hint of affection on her voice as she did so, using her small horns to coax him up. As she did so, she realized that they were much higher up the mountains than they had ever climbed, even her with her abilities to sneak around when Secretariat didn't catch her, making her eyes narrow with mischief.
Todd staggered up with Sihir's help, his fear of the haunted place gone. He wasn't sure why, but whenever Sihir showed up, whatever ghost had been plaguing him would disappear. True that then he would have to deal with the green kid's incessant mocking, but he much preferred having an enemy he could see. Not only that, but despite her constant mocking and prankstering, she wasn't all that bad, and could sometimes show a glimmer of the kindness her mother always seemed to have around her. Another sneeze escaped the floppy eared kid and his face turned to a scowl.
Great... just what I needed. To catch a cold. Mother is going to be furious.

Resisting the urge to plant her horns in Sihir's backside, Oli followed her grudgingly over to Todd and watched as she helped him up. She'd get her revenge later, when the other kid wasn't expecting it. Todd's sneeze distracted her momentarily from her plotting and she suddenly realized how cold she was getting. In the herd, all she had to do was snug close to her mother to warm up again. Here, with these two, she didn't want there to be any snugging, not right now anyway. She was too mad at Sihir and Todd was a boy, a wimpy boy, she could just imagine the inevitable mocking from Sihir if she tried to warm up with him. "Don't die on us." She murmured to him. Half as a joke, and half as just something to say to be included in the conversation.

A sneeze echoed in the wind, making a pair of white ears swivel and look to the side, proud golden horns blazing with the afternoon sun. As the wind dragged the smells of the mountain, something seemed strange to him. As he looked to his side, he saw his companion, Caspian, trotting in place, seemingly unable to stay still while the air was so peaceful on the herd. Cecil quirked his eyebrow, an mixture of amusement, confusion and exasperation on his face. "Glad to see you have found something useful to do in your spare time..." he drawled, his ears flattened as he got up and stretched, eager to see what the strangeness he sensed was.
"There is something unusual in the mountains. I think it would be prudent to go investigate... unless of course you have some business to attend to," he stated, a hint of mockery on his last sentence, his eyes narrowing slightly. The fact that his small amount of peace had been interrupted, had him on edge already, the fact that Caspian had been wasting his time made him even worse. The tiny male decided not to wait for a response, not something usual for him, as he tended to think things thoroughly before acting, but he didn't sense any danger, simply curiosity as to what had invaded his lands, their lands, the lands of the arbex. Head held high in the air, footing precise, he took his first pawstep forward, no idea in his mind of what he was about to encounter.

Caspian stopped fidgeting and gave Cecil and unamused pout. Of course, since he'd had to still his feet, his stump of a tail began to wag, making his whole backside wave slightly with it's vigor. Caspian just couldn't hold still. He had too much energy and simply standing around wasn't helping. He could never understand how Cecil could just sit around and stare without going crazy.
As the smaller male had pointed out, he could sense something as well. He had heard the sneeze, but figured it to be a doe. It sounded small and much like an Arbex so to him, it was only logical. He assumed this strangeness was probably a band of unfamiliars who'd wandered in.
Following the other's lead towards this new presence, he began to imagine the encounter. Maybe there would be a huge ram, with horns as tall and thick as tree trunks and hooves like boulders. He and Cecil would have such a time fighting him off, but in the end they would be victorious and carry those huge horns home as trophies. As he fantasized about what he was sure would be a fight, he took practice swings at boulders and shrubs as they passed. Thoroughly enjoying his imaginings.

"Yeah Todd. Wouldn't want to make us drag your carcass all the way back, now would you?" Sihir snickered, her tail giving a complacent wag. The floppy eared male threw a venomous look at her, and she gave him a wide grin in return. Turning around, she saw the vast mountain ahead of them, and the gears in her head started to turn. "I wonder what's out there," she muttered, her grin widening maliciously.
His eyes turning to the green kid, Todd's paws shuffled nervously. "Does it matter? We have to go back now. Our mothers are going to be worried. Besides, I heard that kids dissapear when they come so high up to the mountains... and that voices can be heard from higher up, as though if there was an eternal war raged by angry spirits or something," he said nervously, shifting his eyes and lowering his head in fear.
