"You're very welcome Todd. It's a pleasure to meet you." Kin gave a little play bow, immediately liking the little kid. She felt an affectionate twinge inside of her, and she knew he would be a wonderful adult before long. Turning her attention back to Dew, Kin's smile faltered for a moment as she heard Dew's comments on the child. She quickly molded her features back into a friendly expression, but it saddened her that Dew didn't appreciate the kid's personality as much as she could have. However, it was not her place to criticize the doe's childraising skills, and she was sure the more mature doe knew what she was doing anyways. Responding to Dew, she brought back a positive spring to her voice. "I'm sure it'll all turn out well." She shifted her weight, and flicked her tail a bit out of habit. "I am doing well, thank you. Things have been quite nice recently. Technically, I don't graze alone, but today I felt like trying something new. Ahka and I still spend much of our time together." With this, she turned her head to look back at where she had left Ahka.
Ahka was still glancing back at the two does every few minutes, watching for any signs that Kin had found a new grazing partner. He was nervous. His eyes flitted from Kin and Dew back to his paws, then he concentrated on watching a little bee flitting in and out of the clover. When he finally looked up again, Kin was looking his way, smiling. He could only hope this was a good sign.

"'Course he won't," Kaze encouraged, eyes warm. "And I don't mind, honestly." He said, perking his ears as Blossom spoke. "It's fine if you'd rather go alone, though, I won't be offended," he added quickly, not wanting to sound pushy.

Norman averted his gaze to look on towards the horizon. He hadn't payed any special attention to it before, but now he noticed that Alec was right. There did indeed seem to be a big dark cloud out there. He pondered what it might be for a moment, but came up blank.
"Surely not. It is a curious thing though, not like any rain clouds I've ever seen. But I suppose that must be what's causing all of this tension. It'd be a blessing if the thing just went away, it's really starting to ruin my week." He knew the cloud probably wasn't the only thing to blame for his poor behavior, but Norman wondered if it could possibly be a sign. If the goddess was showing disapproval for some reason, or predicted a trying time to come. It was a half-amusing thought. The Siv was always a trying time, surely the goennecs didn't need a funny cloud to tell them that. Alec's question broke through his thoughts, and he turned back to look at the yellowish ram.
"Yes, always. I'm sure he isn't far away." Norman admitted, awkwardly shuffling his front paws. He didn't like mentioning the fact that he needed a babysitter (to whom he would soon have to offer an apology), it made the realization that he was now considered a peasant seem all the sharper. Norman had always thought ill of peasants when he had been a soldier, but at least he had since learned some humility in that respect. Alec and Mercury were peasants as well, and he had to admit that they were not unkind, and he enjoyed their company as much as that of any established soldier.

Neurosis stared at Ali despondently as she spoke, wishing that she would just shut up. She, of course, did not. The doe was obviously just trying to provoke the other, and thankfully, it appeared that the other wasn't willing to play along. The ram knew that his companion was having a hard time with everything at the moment- but that was no excuse to treat the poor doe in this manner. He watched as she pranced forward a little, about to taunt the other more. ... enough. Neurosis sprang forward and knocked Ali aside, sharp little horns meeting sharp little horns with a 'clack' as he bared his teeth. "Stop this," he growled, hoping that she would just step down. He really didn't need any more embarrassment at the moment. He tensed as Ali continued to glare up at him; but then her ears flattened and her tail drooped and she backed away. She got to play at being prime, yes; but they both knew who was truly dominant.
Neurosis turned back the new doe, more than just a little flustered. "I apologize for her behavior," he said, trying to appear as if he were in control. "She's just ... tired. We all are. I fully believe you, and would like to request that you take us to your herd, if you are still willing." "My name is Neurosis," he quickly added. "She's Ali, and the little one is called Tiger Eye."

((As long as it isn't a constant thing, it's quite alright, Rain. We all get writer's blocks, after all. XD))
Following her companion's gaze, Dew's eyes fell on Ahka as well, who was looking towards the two of them still. Her ear twitched, impressed at the ram's vigilance, and feeling a slight twinge of jealousy, not being able to help but wish that some ram would be as eager to care for her as Ahka seemed to care for Kin. Her wish, however, had nothing to do with sentiments of love, but of the idea of never having to hunt again, and having a strong ram to make sure she had no more work that would bruise and tire her delicate paws and hooves. Dew's face showed none of these thoughts, however, as she merely waved her tail in greeting at the handsome ram, a deviously shy smile on her face. Turning back to Kin, Dew snorted, pawing at the ground slightly as she took a bite of grass.
"A change of scenery and companions isn't so bad every now and then. I am sure Ahka understands this, and I am always happy for extra company. The more the merrier, after all," she said sweetly, swallowing the grass as she spoke.
- - - - -
Getting up, Blossom smiled at Kaze, her tail giving an amused flick at the ram.
"Nonsense. Your company is always welcome, Kaze," she responded, blinking warmly at him. "We may as well head out now. I know Ander enough to know he will be badgering me tonight if I don't go to Devi today, and I don't want to interrupt him later today if he is busy," she finished, turning her gaze toward's the Prime's hill, feeling the usual butterflies in her belly she tended to feel when she had a conversation with Devarsi.

Delacroix eyed the trio, her "Keep an eye on" priority list being reevaluated. Obviously... the more dangerous ewe was not in charge, here. The largest, however, was. But he had shown [her]himself to be calm and levelheaded... for now.
With a respectful nod, she composed herself as she became aware of the attention turned back onto her. "I'm Delacroix, pleased to meet you all." She carefully shook out her mane, letting her muscles relax a bit now that the light tan ewe had ceased to be as much of a threat. She was still on the alert, though. "Feel free to rest, if you want. We're not that far from the herd, but no one will chase you away for being too close. Our Prime shouldn't be too hard to find."

Ashe flicked her tail a few times, looking into Jay eyes. Sparkling eyes, full of curiosity and intelligence. She liked that. The doe tucked her head to the side and smiled.
"I guess I was bored. The herd’s so tensed lately, I really needed a break."
She stood up again, and trotted around Jay a little bit, looking around. The forest was truly beautiful this early in the day, the sun gently breaking through the foliage. It was unusually quiet, though, and she couldn’t tell why. She dismissed the weird feeling at tugging at the back of her mind and gathered her attention back on the blue ewe.
"Would you like to come with me? I was planning some adventuring by myself, but the more the merrier, isn’t what they say?" -----
The young ram sat down, and wagged his tail, oblivious to Norman’s discomfort. Norman and Virgil already made a pair when Alec and Ashe had join the herd, and nobody had ever bother explaining to him the situation between the two rams. In his naivety, he only thought them as inseparable friends.
"I wish I had someone close to me, like you are to him." he told Norman, thinking of how Ashe and him used to be together all the time. Somehow, she had grown distant and he didn’t know why. Surely she had a good reason.
''What about forgetting about this stinking cloud and do something else?'' he asked the two rams, hoping they would agree to his suggestion. "We could fetch Virgil and go find some berries, I found some nice bushes not far away. Or if you have something else in mind, I'm fine with that too!"
((I'm sorry for my short answers, getting back into RP is harder than I thought.))

Jay smiled "I dont see why not, it is what they say now." Yawning, Jay stood up and shook her pelt. "Yeah, the hers been pretty tense, nothing really has been happening lately though. I'm curious to know why." She said, curiousity pricked at her pelt, like blades. Sniffing the dirt, it was hard and cold even though Spring was on its way. (if its not winter/spring please tell me D:)
Ladybug smiled and yawned, stretching she sat down and flicked her ears. Seeing Penny wasn't much of a talker she tried to start some conversation. "Its a beautiful day today isn't it? The air feels a bit heavy but it doesn't really bug me that much." She said with a slight smile, hoping Penny wouldn't be annoyed with her sudden appearence, and wanting to talk. (I'm a failure and keep calling her Fringe dunno why though /shot)

Penny looked up to Ladybug, nodded. "Yes, today is a very beautiful day. Other then the heavy air, like you said, it's lovely outside." She said softly, looking over to Gypsy, and then back to Ladybug. "The air is also tense. Many seem on edge." Penny said, taking a seat on the freash grass. Amber eyes drifted up to the cold blue sky, looking along the puffy white clouds. Yet soon the clouds started to look a bit gray, and then they weren't really clouds at all. It was the strange black smoke that seemed to spread across the sky. Hopefully it didn't mean anything bad. The sky could change into many colors and do many things.

Norman stared at Alec as if he had just suggested that he would like to befriend a bear. Surprised, and a bit embarrassed, the brown ram hesitated a second before he could think of a response.
"Oh, well... It's complicated..." He let out a little cough, although it had occurred to him by this point that Alec might not know about his situation. It made him curious though, didn't the young ram already have someone close to him? He remembered that Ashe had been with him when the two first entered the herd. But perhaps their relationship was not quite what he had originally assumed. It was true that in recent weeks he hadn't seen them together all that often. Norman couldn't help but wonder why. He would have to ask later though, the idea of hunting down some berries was sorely tempting. And he seemed to perk up at the idea.
"That sounds great! I could do with some berries, but maybe we should just-"
"Go now. Why waste time coming to get me, I'm already here!" Virgil appeared suddenly from nearby, and trotted over to meet the peasants with a cheerful grin. He nodded to Alec and Mercury, ignoring Norman's snort of disapproval. Norman knew Virgil was just doing his job, but he still hated being watched all the time.

Kaze grinned, his deep, emerald green eyes shining with warmth. He dipped his head politely, his feathery white mane bouncing with the motion, then nodded with understanding. He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the warm sun dapple his rime grey fur, and the light spring breeze ruffle his mane. Spring was here. The last of the snow had begun to melt, revealing soft, spongy plants that had just begun to grow. The trees that dotted and surrounded the valley had begun to blossom with life, the new leaves delicately waving in the breeze. A light, happy feeling was in the air, and he felt flooded with energy as he opened his eyes, blinking in the bright sun, then bounded after Blossom, feeling light with happiness and excitement. Spring was here!

Kin laughed, her mind wandering to picture Ahka socializing amiably with the other herd members. She just couldn't see it. He was too... quiet? Private? Something. He just liked his space.
Looking at him now, she appreciated his watchfulness. Many does didn't have that kind of care, and she was lucky that he cared for her.
Turning back to Dew, she smiled politely.
"Well, if you don't mind, shall I invite him over? He doesn't often stray from his routine, and I think it might do him well."
Ahka nodded his head politely in return to Dew, noting her strong gaze. He returned to grazing, humming Kin's little melody to himself in between chewing and watching Kin.

"Don't hurt yourself now!" Devi exclaimed lightly. "Can't have that now, can we?" He meant to sound teasing, but it came out more tired than anything. He donned a friendly smile, hoping to reassure T that he did not mean to scold. Despite enjoying the light conversation, Devi's weariness was creeping back up on him. The short break from the exhaustion had been wonderful, yet only fleeting. "Why don't you run along and find one of the other yearlings, Takuo?" He asked kindly. "I'm sure you'll have more fun with someone who isn't so old." Hopefully, he could sneak in a little sleep while so many other eyes where alert.
"I'm great!" Oli almost shouted, slipping on a soft spot slightly as she stopped in front of Secretariat. She was still getting used to her 'adult voice', or so she told herself. It most likely had more to do with her excitement at seeing him respond so positively to her. Making sure to check her volume this time, she jumped straight to the point. No need to dance around a subject like this. "I was wondering if you knew what's up with the sky lately." She tried to sound as grown up and serious as she could. "They don't look like normal clouds and they're giving me the willies." She immediately regretted ending the question with such a childish word and swiveled her ears away from him to hide their pink flush.
Amelia (or 'Melia' as she preferred; she was 'the' Melia, not 'a' Melia!) shook more of the clinging water from her ankle feathering. The siv was fast approaching and if she wanted to turn some heads, she'd have to be careful about keeping it clean. There'd be no time to wait for stained fur to grow out and be replaced. Inspecting the fur closely and feeling quite satisfied, she gave her mane and tail a rejuvenating shake. She was glad she didn't have to worry about her tail as well. One of the benefits of a bob, little chance of mud or grass stains. Finished with her daily primping, she turned her attention back to the rest of the herd. An hour or so was more than enough time for being girly. Time to have some fun. Everyone seemed busy today. 'Probably helped by the odd sky', she thought. Honestly, it worried her a little too, but the chance it gave her had too much potential to bother her too much. 'I think I'll wander around over by the river, listen around for some information before looking for some trouble.' Satisfied with her plan, she set off in a confident walk towards the shimmering blue ribbon below her in the valley.

The wind rustling her carefully groomed mane, Dew almost let slip a smirk. The mere thought of appearing so unfeminine in front of a potentially useful male, however, kept her in check. Her dark eyes scanned to where Ahka lay once more, almost as though if she were considering the answer, not wanting to seem too eager to be joined by the male. Turning back to Kin, she gave her a serene smile.
"Why certainly," she responded, her tail giving a small, satisfied twitch, enjoying how this day was slowly turning out better and better for her.
An unnoticed eye roll escaped Todd, who despise his cowardice, tended to pick up on his mother's schemes, mostly because he knew Dew almost as well as Blossom did. Sadness slowly started creeping on him, however, as he realized just how badly the spotted doe wished to get rid of him. Not really wanting to be alone, but not really wishing to stay and watch a conversation that would probably eventually lead to his replacement, Todd backed away slightly, heading off in search of Sihir and Ander, hoping they weren't too busy with other kids already.
- - - - -
Heading off to Devi's hill accompanied by Kaze, Blossom's ears started giving slightly nervous twitches, her purple eyes scanning the horizon for a sight of him. Soon enough, she saw him next to Takuo, one of the younger soldiers in the herd, a rather handsome stag who promised to bring a feisty personality to the Siv. She couldn't help but smile, reminded of Sam whenever she looked at him, the prankstery, boyish sparkle in his eyes making him seem still so very much like a kid in her eyes. As her gaze fell on Devi, however, the smile vanished from her face, and a look of worry and concern replaced it. Exhaustion was apparent in his eyes, his stance alert but strained. Slowly coming to a halt, Blossom turned to Kaze, an apologetic look on her face.
"Devi seems to be busy. Maybe we should come back later?" she said, not wishing to cause further exhaustion on the dark ram.

Kin grinned. This was perfect. Perhaps now she and Ahka would have someone else to talk to. Happily, she turned and jerked her head to motion to Ahka to come. She watched him, as first, concern flooded his face. However, he seemed to notice her smile and the concern was replaced with a questioning look. Ever the loyal friend, he picked himself up and began to trot over.
Ahka was looking up again, only to notice Kin motioning him over. Immediately his mind went to the worst, but as he watched, he noticed her face. She was happy. Was it just that she wanted him company? As he neared the two, he saw how happy Kin was. He loved seeing her like this. This was her element. Not his. But now he was nearing them, and he had to do this for her. "Hello." He addressed Dew, never having met her. "I'm Ahka.... You probably already knew that though." Curse this. Why wasn't he able to do this?
Kin gave him a sympathetic glance. His face as screwing up a bit as he concentrated on keeping himself from saying anything wrong. She leaned her head against his shoulder briefly, trying to comfort him.

Takuo grinned, his golden eyes shining with excitement, then he lifted a paw and opened his mouth as if to speak. He fought back a yawn, then perked his ears as the Prime spoke. "Okay!" T agreed, nodding vigorously, bouncing from paw to paw. "Bye!" T called, then bounded off, dramatically pawing at the air, then skidding on a patch of mud, splattering his once-ebony legs with brown and landing in a heap. He fought back a sneeze, then burst out in a fit of giggles and gave himself a vigorous shake, then perked his velvety, black rimmed ears as he saw Kaze and Blossom approaching. "Hi Kaze! 'Morning Blossom!" he called, scrambling up and giving another shake to rid his fur of the grass that tickled his fur. He was still splashed with mud, but he didn't mind, and he bounded happily over to greet them, ears perked happily.
Kaze opened his mouth to answer Blossom, his gaze warm, then he perked his ears as T came bouncing, skidding, and sliding over, splashed with mud, his striking golden eyes shimmering with excitement. "Morning T!" the rime grey ram replied to Takuo's exuberant greeting, emerald green eyes shining with laughter. "Whatcha doing?"
"Exploring and stuff." T answered, "Oh,and I was just talking to the Prime and I asked him what that big thing over there-" he paused to point his nose towards the general direction of the thing "was, and he said something far far over in the woods was changing and if it blew this way it'd burn our eyes and noses but he said it's not dangerous and he was keeping an eye on it. Besides- he paused to playfully duck and paw at the air, "He said that if it came here we'd chase it off!"
he grinned, ears perked and eyes shining, then bounced from forepaw to forepaw.
"Have you seen Ander or Sihir or Todd or any other kids?"

[[Shard is the red/tan goey in my signature, btw. Just figured I'd mention that since I've been procrastinating with my RP forms.]]
The ram- or rather, the doe, as his body never quite seemed to agree with his mind; surveyed the others from a short distance. Well, to some extent. A larger portion of his mind was focused on searching for bugs. They had gone away for a second, if for only that amount of time, and he was intending on keeping it that way. So far so good. Just grass, goeys, bugs, and- damn it! He squirmed, kicking his hoof at his side in an attempt to squish a few of them. A fairly useless tactic, to be honest. It's awfully hard to squish a bug that everyone else believes to be nonexistant. At best he'd likely succeed in tearing up his skin, or further damage his tail. The others would find it ridiculous, or, in Astarot's case, pitiful and weak; to so frantically search for something that was clearly a hallucination. They'd never understand how terrifying it was to not be able to trust your own eyes.
He gritted his teeth, closing his eyes tightly for a moment in an attempt to shut them out. No use. Well, big surprise there. His attention once again turned back to the herd, trying to search out a friendly goennec between bouts of scratching and kicking. Gypsy wasn't too far off, it seemed. Not exactly friendly, although his sister did tend to be kinder to him than any of her less fortunate companions. Oh, and she was joined by two other does. Really pretty ones, at that! Hopefully his stubborn little sister didn't scare them away yet. Luckily she didn't appear to have spoken. Oh thank God.
With that he trotted over, flicking his odd, lizard like tail as he went. Maybe this time he'd even make a friend or two. That would be great. "Hello, ladies," he said politely, lowering his voice as much as he could in an attempt to sound less like a doe, though the result didn't quite sound natural. At the very least it sounded friendly, though it wavered as he felt another bug crawl beneath is fur. "My name's Shard. Nice to meet-" He paused again, a shiver running down his back. "...You." He gave a little smile, ignoring Gypsy's little death glare.

Down closer to the river a brown shape lay sprawled out lazily on the grass. Willoughby stared up at the sky, his eyes slowly scanning the horizon and resting on the dark cloud that hung on it. He would have been concerned, but since it didn't seem like an immediate threat he decided not to let it worry him. That was easy enough, the brown spotted ram had always been pretty mild, unless danger was standing right in front of his face. That day so far he had been satisfied to sit around and watch various other clouds float by. He had eaten a lot the previous night, and his well filled stomach was still making him sleepy.
As he sat there, so lost in the act of doing nothing, Willoughby almost failed to notice that another goennec was approaching. But with the side of his head pressed against the ground, he could hear the soft vibrations of paw and hoof. He blinked slowly, and rolled over onto his stomach, swiping his tongue over his nose. Though he had heard it, the bulky ram didn't immediately see anyone approaching. It took a moment before he spotted the doe coming down towards the river. It was Amelia, he recognized her by that bright white and pink speckled coat. If he had known she was coming he might not have rolled around in the grass, but as it was he decided not to think about it. Being self-conscious had never done him any good.
"Hello 'Melia, you're looking well today." He called out once she was within earshot. His deep voice echoed easily across the valley. It wasn't a good voice for conveying emotions, so he made an effort to sound enthusiastic. With the Siv nearing it would do him no good to have all the does thinking he was boring and uncaring.

Amelia switched from her confident pace to something a little more feminine at hearing Willoughby greet her. 'So close to season, every ram counts' she told herself. 'He's not half bad looking either.' Her plans could wait a little longer. Now that she had a good feel for the ground, she could tell the sun had warmed it enough to soften it. Perhaps she'd dig and conceal a sprinkling of shallow holes in the popular, well-traveled areas. Some of the more sure-footed would simply misstep a bit, but she could think of a couple who might be clumsy enough to give a good face-plant. She stifled her grin at this thought. Soft ground had so much potential. Just a little conversation, maybe a little flirting, and she could devise a master plan to take full advantage of the mealy earth. It'd be a good day for sure.
Swishing her tail with each step, she glided gracefully closer to him before returning the greeting. No need to sound too assertive with a shout. "It was a bit chilly last night, but the sun has done me wonders this morning." She sighed silkily. "You seem to be doing well yourself."
(I'll wait for Kaze's response before writing up Devi. x] )
