Dark was the night as Aiden carefully made his way down the Bear's Claw mountain side, concealing himself with the horrid smell and colour of a rotting carcass. he found it rather disgusting to carry around, but at leats it was less disgusting than bear or wolf dung. He felt rather vunerable up there not being used to the sloping and rocky terrain, silently he damned himself for not attempting to scale grand canyon when he was there, even if he had failed, he would at least have some familarity with the terrain.
Stopping for a moment, Aiden suveyed the area below him whilst taking in the scent on the faint night breeze. He felt accomplished when he caught the distinct scent of the stranger herd, hopefully he would find one savage away from the main body of the herd. Even though this was a 'mission' he himself had carefully constructed for a purpose, he let himself drift away for a moment just to take in the view and lament his sorry situation.
Alone. He was all alone, at risk and even worse just plain lonely. Loneliness could drive one to madness, and this information was all but too familiar. aiden got going again quickly and reache the forest at the foot of the mountain.

A spotted figure walked the border of Ram's Hoof and headed closer to the area surrounding Bear Claw. Dew wasn't one for loneliness, but the hormones of pregnancy made her moody around too many goennecs, and the idiots she tended to be around were starting to drag thin the smiles she normally wore around them, trying to hide how idiotic and pathetic she deemed them. Her ears were alert, as was her nose, knowing that being at the border of the territory alone was dangerous, but knowing no one was around here so late at night, not even border patrols. They kept closer to the herd, were it was safer.
She sighed and looked up at the stars, her boredom clear as she wished for sleep to come easier to her, as most of the herd was already sleeping. She considered bothering Blossom, but there was no point in doing so, as she was sleeping close to the Prime, something that had been usual in her ever since the Siv. Her ear twitched in annoyance, and she almost whined to the sky, when suddenly a horrid stench filled her nostrils. She wrinkled her nose, annoyance clear. "Just what we needed... a dead animal stinking up the herd grounds," her voice in her usual obnoxious drawl.

Entering the forest, Aiden felt safe enough to trash the corpse he had been carrying, leaving it in the bushes. with a shudder he left it and continued down an old deer trail, well abandoned now, but it still made for quick traveling through the dense vegetation, especially in the darkness.
Traveling through the dense vegetation was a challenge for him with the trees covering the faint gleam of the moon and the ice freezing the muddy path, making it quite slippery. He was glad he had claws as he came to a frozen part of the path, but still considered this a much welcome change from the lonely mountainside.
Walking in silence, but still content, the forest began to open up before him and in the distance he spotted a stranger, alone. Instinct overtook him and he rushed to meet the stranger.
((bleh, last paragraph rushed, sorry D:)

The stench getting closer, Dew heard a rustling nearby, and she looked over to the edge of the forest only to see a buff gray stag coming out of the shadows, a white collar around his neck, the sign of men. She flicked her tail and snorted with disgust, her tail flicking as she tensed her muscles, ready to bolt. She was in no shape to be getting into a fight with a stag that was not only taller, but much bigger in body than she was. Vanity aside, Doe's need to make sure the child that she was carrying would not come to harm.
The stench on his pelt made her unable to identify his stench, but his look was not one of an aggressive attacker, so she decided to chatter and see if she really would have to bolt and run or not. "You know, with that stench on you, being big is not necessary. Not even bears would find you worthy of a decent meal."

Aiden stopped in his tracks as he came close to the stranger, a doe. Just as he ws about to speak, he found himself in a strange position where he knew not what to do. The whole approach was painfully spontanious to him, and he was also quite aware of the stench he bore, intending to have washed it off before doing even getting close to another goennec.
Her comment made him rather annoyed, but he managed to pull himself together a produce a somewaht intelligent sounding reply "You know stranger, that is kind of the point by stinking this badly, I'd rather chase others away than end up being bear dung" he said with a slight sneer in his voice.

The pregnant female's eyes shined, her smile turning to a wide grin at how dignified his voice sounded in his attempt to cover up his stench. She noticed his annoyance however, and a slight hint of surprise as she mentioned his obvious stench, almost as though if he himself hadn't noticed. He's a loner... she thought, contempt on her body language clear as she felt more secure, knowing she would not be suddenly attacked by an ambush. I wonder if he is coming here to ask for permission to join the herd... she wondered, a small twitch in her ear as she eyed him up and down. He looked too strong and stubborn to follow Devi however. His looks clearly stated dominance, something that intrigued the doe.
She batted her eyelashes innocently, and changed her image to one of innocent awe. "I would never have thought of that. I merely thought you enjoyed keeping others of your same species as far as possible," she stated, her tail giving a small flick as she held her pose in one of equal dominance, making her merely curious tone confusing when mixed with her body language.

Aiden stood tall, doing everything he could to somewhat look dignified even with the stench, and of course not making it look like he was trying too hard to look awesome or somehting like that. His ears flickered a little nervously at the does' grin, it unsettled him quite a bit.
Suddenly the doe seemed to change intent all together, looking quite... Innocent? Aiden couldn't quite put a finger on it, but something along those lines. Her tone of voice changed too, though her body language reflected the alsmost opposite demeanor(? sorry, couldn't find the right word in english D: ), it utterly confused him and he was left dumbstruck for a short while. clearing his throat and snapping out of the confusion he spoke "Well, I did actually plan to clean the stench off in that unlikely event that I would meet someone of my own species. I'm on a... what do you call it... Deeplumatick? Deplomateek?" He looked up in the air, concentration very visible on his face while he tried to remember the human word.

Dew could almost purr with amusement. The dumbstruck look on the stag's face reminded her of the herd oaf, Sam, and his trying to cover it up with a dignified response left her eyes twinkling with pleasure at having found this walk to be more enjoyable than she thought. The stars were still twinkling in the sky, providing the small amount of light that illuminated the grounds, as the new moon kept as quiet and secretive as it always did. She eyed him he stuttered, and she wondered what was in the mind of this traveling stranger, and noticed the concentrated look he bore, again, reminding her of the gray ram whenever he tried to think of anything not involving hunting, sleeping or fighting.
A small chuckle escaped her, and she tilted her head slightly, her ears perked up and facing forward at him, a bit confused with what he was trying to say. "Well, be grateful that you met with me. I think that the stench has not allowed you to smell how close you are to Devarsi's herd," she said, a slight hint of mockery in her words as she was unable to entirely disguise her amusement, despite putting on a sweet and motherly voice as she said it, addressing the Prime by his full name, only to let the stranger know who she was led by.

Aiden stood for a few moments in his thought, until he caught the does eye and saw how amused she looked. He gave a gruff snort and pulled himself together, this time without minding the smell. He sort of acomplished looking rather threatening with his buff build while standing tall. "Diplomatic, that's the word." He let the whisper blend in with the wind, making it almost silent.

Dew's eyes brightened at the goennec's attempt to look threatening, and if it wouldn't have been for the horrible entrance he had made, she would have been sincerely intimidated. Head held low in a mock submissive pose, she got ever so slightly closer to the white stag, and she looked up at him, a smile on her face.
"So tell me, diplomatic traveler, do you have a name that goennecs or humans call you by?" she asked, letting him know she had plainly seen the collar on his neck, before turning her head down to graze, hiding the curiosity that this stranger had invoked in her, a curiosity she rarely felt in the dull, repetitive life of Devarsi's herd.

Aiden, now having pulled himself together again, noticed the does previous mocking gaze. He cleared his throat a bit offended at her question "My name is Aiden, and if I were to be a pet you would certainly be a savage" He said in a gruff voice with a hint of laughter. However his gaze remained fixed on her, she seemed rather intelligent to him, and he would hate himself if he wasted this opputunity to have a civilized meeting.

Dew's face contorted to one of full mockery before a cackling laugh escaped her throat, her eyes flashing menacingly. As she stopped laughing, she turned her gaze straight at him again, and her tail gave a slow flick, dragging itself on the ground as she studied the stag, knowing he had chosen his words with the intent to hurt. A smile crossed her delicate features, and she gave a slight shift, hear ears giving a quick flattening before regaining their usual upright position.
"A savage, huh? I suppose so. However, it is this savage who is at home with a family and friends, and carrying a child, while the diplomat stinks up the place with nothing more than a smell only carrion would find pleasant to be near. I shall let my prime know that Aiden the diplomatic pet is traveling near his territory. I am sure he will find the news most intriguing. A pity. I almost thought you may have had some brains in you," she answered, venom in her voice before she finished turning around, letting him know the conversation was over.

Aiden gave a gruff snort as response to how the doe was acting, he wanted to bursst out in anger and almost yell et her, but he convinced himself in his mind that it would be betetr to retain a more stately disposition. However, he would not let her get the last word, especially not when it was like that. Looking rather emotionless and unmoved by anything, he rushed past the doe and tried to stop her, by blocking her path.
Backing a few steps backwards so he wasn't so close to her, he stood tall again trying to look rather impressive and authority. "And I thought you had some brains, savage. That you would not be so uncivilized." He left it at that, tone of voice almost emotionless. Then suddenly an intelligent gleam entered his eyes, and he leveled himself with her again, with a shake of his head he started talking again "I came here to inform you, and others if I happen to stumble upon them. Of a great new order that will rise in this area, an order based off the ideals of democracy instead of brute force. Of course this may sound a bit complicated or silly to you, but just as a parting note, i will be on these borders frequently if any of your kind wishes to join this order. " He turned around quickly, and sprinted into the forest again, with as much grace as he could manage without tripping over things in the darkness. a wide grin spread across his face as the forest engulfed him again.

((Seeing as how you could make Dew not have the last word, I can make Addie not have the last word either, sorry, but either he kills her or he lets her go. Dew doesn't have someone backtalking to her, especially a pet. =P She likes whining and winning. XD RP ends at this one though. At least now we know that Dew is definitely not going with Addie. XD ))
Dew snorted as the male padded off, knowing that she could not give him the beating she wished to give him with while carrying a child. "I will make sure to let them know a pet with superiority complex wishes to call to them so that he doesn't feel as lonely anymore. I will also make sure to let Devarsi know that there is an imbecile with dreams of grandeur trying to take his position as prime. You call me a savage, but you will not open your mind for more than an inch to what you think you deserve. You don't know the world, not yet. The only savage I see here is you."
This said, the doe stormed off, her ears flattened. She thought of ways she could kill the insignificant ram, but each idea was more gruesome than the last, and she knew she would never expose her carefully cared for fur and her black polished hooves to anything that atrocious. No. That sort of fighting was the work of a ram, not of a doe. Her mind bent on telling the Prime what she had just witnessed, she headed straight to the middle of the camp, displeased at having to wait until morning to report to the Prime, however. And little did she know that by that time, her vain and self imposed sense of importance would make her forget the events that had transpired that night until it would be too late to do anything about it.
