Theonine felt his patience thinning for some reason. He blinked, watching a bug scuttle along on the ground. Perhaps it was simply the fact that most of the Goennecs were crowded together.
He'd, in a way, wanted to see the fight simply because it was a fight. This was the Siv, time to pass on genes, no big deal. Well, there was far too much drama coming along with it this year. His animal mind couldn't tolerate it, he was bred to fight, to breed, and to eat. Not to listen to does whine about males fighting. It was natural for the to fight, it's what was supposed to happen. *It's far too fake. Something's not right, are there fumes of some sort floating up from where the man creatures live?* He himself certainly wouldn't mind having a mate rather than a harem, he liked many of the does and rams as friends, if a doe wanted to be more than friends, fine by him. But how human could he be? Threonine was just a Goennec, and at this point a frustrated one.
He thought to himself, standing up slowly. Even though Blossom was not speaking to him, he felt the need to add in his responce before leaving, he was just in that mood, and half way spat the words. "Of course they'll get tired. That's what happens, they fight, they get tired, it ends. This is the Siv, you do know that?"
He snorted and trotted off, kicking up short sprays of dirt and grass. Hormones were making him snappy, he had far too much energy and nothing to spend it on. He had to do something, the Prince felt like he would explode if he didn't.
At this point there were no females he felt the need to approach, nothing he wanted to do more than hunt. So he did. Approaching a streatch of woodland, he let out a long breath and watched it curl up like smoke reaching for the sky. So quiet, so peaceful. From here he could no longer hear the others, only the wind as it blew through the trees and made the grass sway. The sound of horns bashing together echoed in his mind. He had no one to fight for the moment, but he longed for that sound, how he loved that sound. The air was crisp, it felt good to use his muscles now, to kill something, anything. He wondered around aimlessly, eyes open for any animal that was potentially prey. The first thing he found, however, was a turtle.
Not much in the way of food, it was a good enough sized turtle to provide some challenge though, and Threonine was grateful for having found it. It was perfect, the perfect creature to get some good sound out of. He'd longed to hear and experiance the sound of horns clashing together, but since that was, for the moment, out of the question, a turtle would have to do. Now was the time to let loose some steam. But since he wasn't cruel enough to let it die slowly, so he hid where it could not see him and when it's neck was all the way out he leaped forward and snapped it, fast as lightning. Now to get to the turtle. He stood up on back legs and brought down all his weight on the shell, bashing at it with claw, hoof and horn over and over and over. *Crack! Crack! Crack!* The shell began to break and still Threonine bashed at it harder and harder until finally it split like an egg, revealing a bowl like inside and the meat, his prize.
He pushed his muzzle inside the shell pieces and pulled off chunks of turtle meat, eating the bones and all. He licked the blood off and left nothing but a nice, clean shell, broken in two places. Now that he was in a better mood, he wondered if he should bring something back, something nice. But what would anyone want that he could bring back? A friendly conversation? No. Threonine blew the tuft of fur on his head out of the way. There must be something... He started to feel silly even thinking about it. The Siv was messing with his mind, confusing him. *I'll just think about nothing for a bit, that's what I'll do* For now the Prince was satisfied, and felt himself finally relaxing. He sat down and closed his eyes, his dark navy blue tail curl around his front paws. In a state not quite like sleep, he was aware of his surroundings, he sat there and listened to the sounds of the mountain, not really thinking about anything, and smiled a little, just to himself.
MilkyWay shook her head. She too felt sorry for Blossom but knew it was just another part of life. In the end there would be little to worry about. Things always had a way of working themselves out. She leaned down and pulled up a little grass herself to chew on. She mulled over what Nixx had said, considering what might happen.
"I think if Sam won he would just tell her to do what she wants, and choose for herself. That seems to be the track his mind runs on. A bit queer in my opinion... It is generally the rams that ask the does, right?" Of all the pairing up she'd seen so far, it had always been the ram to ask, but MilkyWay didn't really know. "I don't know what I was thinking earlier, I am hungry. After this is over I think I would like to find something more than just grass." She added sheepishly.

Nixx got up and looked over at the fight again. "This fight is getting on my nerves. It's not really natural for a ewe not to want the rams to fight. Look at her face compared to the ones in the past. She obviously doesn't get the point of the Siv in her state of shock. I know this is probably the first fight she was fought over for that she has witnissed, but in reality, she will see alot more, maybe even worse than the one now." He turned away from the fight to MilkyWay, "Let's go." They walked towards the meadow before the forest, it was rich with rodents and rabbits, easy prey. He stretched, realizing how tired he was, but his hunger was what was worrying him. Grass didn't really cut it as it did when he was younger. He heard a rustle in the grass and smiled to see a young, plump rabbit. Looking over to MilkyWay, he gave her a nod and a look that he had found prey. He sunk low into the grass and stepped forward, barely making a sound. This rabbit was young enough not to know what these creatures with paws and hooves were. When he was close enough, he pounced, diggin his canines into the bunny. Hearing the cry Goey's were immune to, a split-second before the little heart stopped beating, he brought it over to MilkWay to share. He layed down with it and stripped the skin for them. He took a small bite, then offered some to his mate. The meat was a relief from the grass he had eaten lately. The juices calmed his thirst so he wouldn't need a drink of water till later. "It's delicious." He smiled proudly.

MilkyWay blinked at her mate, which was just her way of saying thank you. Then looked down at the rabbit and tore off a little chunk for herself. She chewed slowly, savoring the flavor, at first with a rather blank face. As she chewed her expression changed, making it clear that she liked it, a lot. "Mmmm! This is the best rabbit I've had in a loooooong time. And it didn't even seem to realize anything was wrong." She exclaimed quietly, not wanting to scare off any of what other prey was out there. The doe took another bite and chewed this one slowly too. It was surprisingly filling and indeed very juicy.
The food was perfect for distracting her from all else, particularly since it was unusually good. All the excitement had made her more hungry than she'd realized.

Nixx nodded and chuckled at her expression and enthusiasm, "Very good indeed." He said quietly. Then he heard a howl that was shockingly close, freezing him in place. He slowly got up and saw shadows at the edge of the forest. He looked over to MilkyWay and whispered, "They've nver been that close before..." He took another bite, leaving more than enough for MilkyWay. He looked over to her, "What should we do? The Prime is in a fight and I saw the Prince go off towards the oppotsite direction." Nixx started to panic a little, but let his quiet surroundings calm him. Another howl sliced through the air and Nixx's hair on the back of his neck rised, panic coursing through him agian.

Alaska muttered under her breath when the Prince left. He didn't understand why she didn't like the fighting. He didn't know her past. Shaking her head, the doe turned her attention to the fight, deciding that, after all, it was only natural. She was just being scornful. The past was done with, no need to bring it to this new herd.
Alaska turned her head to look at the young ram who had introduced himself recently.. Kaze was his name. "May I ask your opinion on this fight? Who do you think will win?" The fight was pretty even so far, and as Threonine said, they would get tired. The fight was likely to end soon.

Kaze looked up as the doe spoke, and contemplated her question for a moment, thinking quietly before he gave his opinion. "I'm not really sure," he began, answering with a small laugh. The young ram glanced back over at the two clashing rams for a moment, their eyes seeming to shine with ferocity as they fought. "They seem pretty evenly matched, really." He glanced back up at Alaska, and felt his heart tug for a moment. Though the reminder of the Siv was evident and non-moving from the constant crash of horn-on-horn, not to mention the Prime's announcement of the season echoing in his head, he forced himself to ignore it; he had gotten pretty good at disregarding things he didn't want to think about at the moment. "Devi--he's got the strategy and he's probably thinking out how to outwit Sam, since he's not as large. Sam? He's strong--though he's probably not planning out how to battle as much...he's most likely just going with it?" He grinned slightly as he finished; his answer more of a question than an actual comment. It was true--the fight was tough, and very evenly matched.

Cute how now the romance seeker is taking shots at Blossom now. *Thumbs up*
Blossom heard the Prince's response and she looked his way, her ear perked up in curiousity. This was the reason she prefered not talking to others. Her human raised ways made her different to them. Different in a way that they would never understand. She wasn't raised in the belief that males would fight for her. She was raised in the belief that when she was old enough, and if she was lucky, she would be presented with one with whom she would have kids with. Her mother had once told her that she had actually had two pairs of kids, but she had never responded when asked about their location or what had happened to them. By this time, Blossom already guessed, but she hadn't stuck around enough to find out for sure. One word rang in her mind however, one that her mother had called the first wild goennec she had met. Savages...

Minnie, you told me before that he was part of a pair. Pairs don't have harems. Either he has a harem, or he has a mate, he can't have both X)
The violent shake of Sam's head was powerful and a bit surprising. He had to give it to his old friend, he was an excellent fighter, but Devi was smart. instead on trying to keep footing, he focused his strength into keeping his forelegs hooked securely to his opponent's horns and let his feet slide from under him, putting every pound of himself onto the other ram's head. "Don't take me too lightly Sam. We aren't kids anymore" He said with a confident grunt. "I'm not as soft as I used to be."
Forest had all but tuned out the world around her. She simply watched and waited. The fight put her on edge and the ferocity of the fighters was making her uneasy. She stood again, and backed a few paces, suddenly aware of how close she was due to her stalking before.
also, I think Kindles mentioned before, we do have an OOC section ^^; OOC only posts take up much too much space on this rapidly growing thread ^^

Sam's face screwed up with frustration. He needed to get out of that grip. Devi's paws were clasped tightly into his horns, making his shakes useless. Suddenly, it came to him. Devi was clasping the top. Sam's horns were being clasped, but the rest of his body was free. That's it! Sam thought, his eyes flickering with hope. Suddenly letting himself go, he went limp and rolled over, shaking Devi over and he felt the thud as he got up quickly. His gaze fell on the black and red goennec, and he saw that shock was displayed on his face as he lay belly up, his legs flailing helplessly.
Sam rushed over and pinned him down, his paws on Devi's chest. "I win..." Sam stated simply, his eyes glaring at the Prime.
Blossom looked at the two stags in shock. The fight was over, Sam had won. Her ears perked up as she got up, unsure of whether to rush towards the victor or stay were she was. Blood pumped through her in excitement. Sam had really won. That meant that Devi could not force her to go with him. Could not force her to be a part of his collection.

Woops...sorry guys. I find that i become kinda immersed in the RP and i stop thinking about godmodding and such. I'll be more careful Garnet shrugged and nodded. “I suppose so. I don’t think he’d really want to go down to the herd now anyway. They’d probably shun or hurt him because he cant speak Goennec before he even does…that smile thing,” She replied, “And plus, if the Prime even saw Mercury near me, chances are he’d probably attack anyways. He’s already been turned down once, I doubt he’d really want to lose a female of his harem, so he’d attack him so he wouldn’t lose me….” The doe shook herself and narrowed her eyes. She hated these emotions that controlled her during the Siv. She was rambling, which was making her annoyed, which was making her upset, which was….ugh. Garnet stifled an exasperated growl and looked at Mercury. She sighed as he killed the fish. Even though she was unobservant, she could see and feel the hesitation as the male stamped on it. She didn’t enjoy killing as much as anyone did, but as she and any other being knew, she had to kill to survive.
Garnet almost gagged as Mercury coughed up the fish bones, looking away and wincing. She looked back at him when the noises that made her want to cough up her meal stopped, and looked at Secretariat once again. “Err ..... Han taler om, hvordan du sikkert shouldn't gå ned i besætningen trække den side af dit, siger han de andre kunne tage det den forkerte vej og angreb….” (Err.....He's talking about how you probably shouldnt go down into the herd pulling that face of yours, he says the others might take it the wrong way and attack.) Garnet replied in a hushed voice. She looked down at the herd and sighed, seeing the fight had ended, rendering Sam victorious. When would the madness stop? Best friends were becoming enemies…strangers were becoming lovers…It confused Garnet more than anything, but she went along with it anyway. Svartur watched the fight for a few more moments. It had been interesting at first, but now he grew tiresome of it. He sighed and trotted off, looking to the hill were two males were practically bristling over Garnet, or at least it seemed that way to the young male. He sighed once again and walked towards the new Goennec (Kaze), who was talking to Blossom. He smiled at the male and sat down, muttering a simple but friendly, “Hello.” He didn’t really wish to say any more, knowing that it was hard enough coping with the thought that Garnet had found love that wasn’t him. If he spoke any more, the thoughts and feelings he had for the doe might tumble out, and he didn’t wish for that to happen, especially not infront of those he didn’t really know. Suddenly, the fight ended. His smle widened and he gasped. Had Sam just won?

Hannie's ears perked up as the fight ended. She grinned from the excitement; she felt that she had learned from watching the fight. Now, she felt that she could leave if she wanted to; she would stay a minute or two more to see if anything else happened before she most likely lost interest and wandered off to one of her familiar spots in the forest or went to get a drink. She stood up, stretching her legs a little.

Kila's eyes widened in shock. In one fluent movement Sam had just defeated the Prime. "Wooow," she muttered to Svartur; with an almost awed expression. Turning, she noticed that Svartur was no longer beside her; that he was trotting the opposite direction. Kila wasn't sure what to do next; but she supposed she would wait around and see if Sam would ask Blossom to be his mate.

"Hey," Kaze said, nodding to the younger goennec, a black-and-white ram he didn't really recognize; then returned his gaze to the fight. "Whoa," he began, taking a breath as he watched Sam flip himself, sending Devi to the ground. This goennec...Sam? Had defeated Devarsi, the Prime of the herd. He stood speechless for a moment, then he grinned, feeling a rush of excitement. The first battle of the Siv had been fought, and won, by a goennec he hadn't expected to win, triumphing over the Prime. He glanced back over at Blossom and his eyes shone slightly--she had gotten her wish, Sam had won. Kaze felt as if he should say something to the white doe, but he kept quiet for a moment, just smiled at her.
He felt a new energy pulse through him, making him feel stronger. If he had to fight this Siv, he would--he felt as if he had learned some techniques from the fight, and would be prepared to use them if he had to. But for now, he didn't have to think about that yet. He heard a doe's voice behind him, and turned, grinning. "Yeah, it was pretty crazy, wasn't it?" he laughed, glancing back at Sam and Devarsi. {Kaze is just talking to everybody, lawl. X3}

The fight was over. Alaska was slightly shocked at the outcome, but at the same time pleased. She was happy for the young, feathered ram. "The fight was won by Sam," Alaska said slowly. The doe watched for any sign of dissapointment on the Prime's face as they finished the fight. Over her shoulder, she asked Kaze and Blossom a question at the same time. "Are you surprised?"

{ Kaze was talking to Kila, but he's talking to pretty much everybody right now, haha, having a couple conversations at once. X3} The young grey ram laughed, grinning slightly at Alaska's question. "Kind of--but I'm happy for Sam," he said, looking back at where the two rams still were for a moment. "It was tough, so really I think it could have gone either way. But I think Sam deserved the win," He answered--though he was slightly surprised, he was glad that the feathered ram had won...Though Devarsi might not be, he mused, glancing over at the Prime. "What do you think?" he asked the white, warm brown, and grey doe. He loved to talk, and was carrying on a couple of conversations at once. But he didn't mind; he liked to get to know the other Goennecs and talk.

"Yeah, that was amazing," Kila said in awe, talking to the ram she had seen earlier, a grin on her face. "I was rooting for Sam too," Kila said more quietly, and smiled wider. This is the longest conversation I have ever carried out, Kila chuckled to herself. Deciding to squeeze in one question while she was in a talkative mood, Kila asked; "You are Kaze, right?"

"Awesome," Kaze answered, turning to face the doe for a moment, his green eyes shining, both from amusement and excitement. "Yeah, that's me." The young ram laughed, grinning and shifting a front hoof. "What's your name?" he asked, being friendly as always. He wasn't sure if he was interested in any does this Siv, but it didn't hurt to be friendly! He was outgoing and friendly by nature, and loved talking and becoming friends with the goennecs in the herd, save for maybe a select few arrogant or self-absorbed goeys, and even then he'd try not to be rude.

"Kila," she stated simply , still smiling. She hoped that this..Kaze, would not take her lack of the need to talk the wrong way; as coldness, like some did. For some reason something was pushing her to make a conversation, "So, what do you think of fighting; in general I mean?"

"That's a nice name," Kaze replied, smiling back at her. She seemed friendly, at least, to him, and he wasn't about to pass up a chance to talk or be friendly. "Well," he began, then laughed slightly--he felt as if he was about to dive in a whole explanation! "I don't mind some fighting, in general, as long as it has good reason. I mean, I understand Siv fighting, and I don't mind playfighting, as long as no one gets injured or purposely hurts another goennec. Really, I think play fighting's kind of fun!" He laughed hesitantly, then grinned. "Well, as long as it doesn't get too serious or violent at all, and as long as we're not hurting eachother." This was true; the ram enjoyed fun, absolutely-not-serious playfights, but he didn't like unneeded violence; fighting for absolutely no reason, and meaning to hurt another. He paused for a moment, then continued. "What about you?" He asked Kila, his emerald eyes shining in the sunlight.
