Kila laughed when Kaze did, a smile stuck on her face. This goennec made her act out of character. If any of her long-time-friends were watching this, they would be shocked. "I enjoy watching rams fight," Kila said thoughtfully, her eyes sparking as she remembered some amazing fights, "but I don't like it when someone gets hurt. It's exciting, I guess; watching them fight."

Kaze smiled back at Kila for a moment, then laughed. "Same--watching fights is pretty cool too!" He glanced back once more at the fight, Sam standing victorious, then looked back at Kila. He paused for a moment, letting the cool breeze ruffle his fur, then spoke again. "So, what kind of things do you like to do?" He asked, hoping to continue the conversation by asking a few questions, random or not.

MilkyWay heard the howl too, and stood up, startled. Instincts she'd never known she posessed kicked in. "What is it? What do we do?" She whispered, unable to hide a look of terror.
As tends to happen to some omnivores vs herbavores, she didn't have that sense of overwhelming fear that causes peralysis. Her eyes didn't roll back in her head and she didn't run, but with nothing but stubby little she-Goey horns she didn't know whether to charge, hide, or stand her ground. Her muscles tensed and she looked at Nixx expectantly. *So this is what happens when Goennecs wonder away from the main group. I should have known, I should have done more research on predators.* She groaned in her mind.
Meanwhile, a ways off in the opposite direction, Threonine was hard at work using his teeth to rub away the spine on the top half of the turtle shell. It was a rather nice looking thing, decent sized, and it had given him an idea.
When the last traces of bone had been scraped off or eaten, he jammed his head downward and lightly pressed his horns over the turtle shell. It felt awkward, having his head upside down, and he hoped there were no predators nearby. "I hope it works." He muttered out loud, lifting his head and letting out a satisfied grunt at the realization that the shell had indeed stuck to his horns.
In truth he wasn't sure if he'd be excited or emberrassed to have another Goennec see him now. He was eager to try what he figured would turn out a marvelous game, but at the same time wouldn't have doubted that he looked absolutely... strange. It was like a deer wearing a helmet. Except that Threonine was no deer, part goat and part predator, the strange mix led to some interestingly thick and steady muscle tone. He flexed his front legs, and then his back, warming his muscles in preparation to make a run. "Ready Threonine?" He chuckled to himself, standing poised.
*Head down, shoulders forward, back legs at the ready* He shot off at top speed (which for a Goennec is what, like 20 mph?) and aimed himself at a tree. It would be nice to have another Goennec to try this with sometime, but for a test run the tree did quite well. Just a few yards away he aimed the shell forward and hit the tree head on. The shell smashed into hundreds of little pieces, flying off in every direction at the impact. "Whoo!" The Prince fell back, littered in broken fragments of turtle shell.
He shook off the pieces and looked at the tree. It was a big steady tree and from what he could see didn't have more than a few chips of bark off. Not even a dent. Oh well, it wasn't supposed to do damage. He sat back and thought for a while, how could this improve training techniques for things like playfighting and sparring? It wouldn't hold any purpose in a real fight, but he enjoyed the feeling it gave of power. Power to break something into lots of little pieces. To see damage rather than clash horns without so. Turtles came in all sizes, Threonine figured he could collect as many as he could find and eventually get some that would be small enough to fit a kid. He could teach them to fight more effectively if they knew what kind of power they had behind their horns.
Or maybe not. There was always that bit of doubt. Wasn't it a bit strange? Perhaps the others would just find it odd and useless. *Once the Siv is over, I'll get a friend to try it with me, see how it works head on head. Might be a fun game, who knows.* He decided happily, shaking the last fragments out of his fur. As Prince it was his duty mainly to round up the herd at the sight of danger, to give his life if needed, and become a possible second line of defense. Defense, what is defense without offense? Even a simple game could help make better fighters, and Theonine would smash shells all day by himself if it would improve his skills.
So, with a bit of gallop in his step, he headed back towards the herd. How strange what the Siv could drive a ram to do. But at least he was going back in a better mood, which after all was what he'd hoped to accomplish. As he neared halfway towards them however, a strange sound stopped him cold and chilled his heart. The howl. *I must warn them!* He thought urgently, and ran well around the danger so as not to lead it towards the herd. In his haste he neither saw nor scented Nixx and MilkyWay.
(yay! I love typing mini fun rambles! (even though they usually can't be responded to))

Svartur watched Kaze and smiled, but when he began talking to Kila, he felt himself bristling. He realized he was baring his teeth at the male and looked away. In his mind, Kila was his, or at least she almost was. He wanted to yell and shout at him, but it really wasnt his choice whether or not she chose Kaze. The buck sighed and looked away, towards Garnet. Not much had happened since he last looked to where she stood, but it seemed things had calmed down slightly, at least. Every female he liked was falling in love with another, and he didn't know what to do about it. He shuffled his hooves awkwardly and once again walked away, this time sitting alone, away from the others. (Gah bump to Sec, Mercury and Devi! XD)

Kila was silent for a moment, the breeze tugging at her fur. "I like..." she trailed off, trying to think of something...anything she liked to do. "...having company. Even though I usually just stay quiet, it is nice to have others' surrounding you. I also like to find the sweetest grasses," she finished; and looked up at Kaze. She shuffeled her feet, hoping he would find this answer acceptable. In reality, she didn't really know the activities she liked, because she hadn't tried many.

Nixx heard barks and some that sounded like laughter. He started to freak a bit, knowing that the wolves knew of them being there. They were probably looking for a quick bit, but Nixx wouldn't let that happen. He knew he couldn't fight that many, so hed have to go back to safety. He nudged Milky in the way of their herd, "Let's go. Even though there are two of us, that wouldn't be enough to fight off all of them and I don't want to lose you." He hoped MilkyWay understood. He wanted to fight was much as she did, but if they weren't with the rest of the herd, they wouldn't be able to fight them off. As they turned, more barks of laughter came from the predators. He growled and kept walking, fighting off the urge to turn around.

Alaska couldn't help herself. She laughed. Kaze was a crazy, playful goennec who had such a bubbly personality it was hard to maintain a straight face around him. "I see. I, personally, want to see the look on the two rams faces. I like to see the feedback of the goennec after winning or losing. Hopefully neither of them will be an ungracious winner or loser." She nodded in Kila's direction, asking what her name was. "I'm Alaska," the doe said, offering her name to the other doe.

Kaze smiled at Kila, and nodded, understanding. He perked his ears as he heard Alaska's voice, and felt himself grin at her laughter, which, though he hadn't known the doe long, was something he hadn't seen her do for awhile. He felt himself warm with laughter, and his green eyes shone with amusement. He listened to her speak, then nodded his head, agreeing with Alaska's words--a ram who could win a fight was one thing, but an unsportsmanlike, arrogant goennec was another; there were, if you can believe it, some goennecs Kaze didn't exactly..."approve of"? Kaze turned once more back to Kila as Alaska greeted her, and flipped his tail, feeling the sun soak into his warm, grey fur. He was enjoying the conversation, and asked another question, aimed at both the does this time. "So," he said, grinning, "What have you two been doing so far this summer?" He was going to say "Siv", but didn't want them to think he was trying to flirt or be obnoxious; he was just talking and being friendly like he nearly always was.

Her russet fur shone in the Summer sun, and the slight breeze ruffled her fur. Down the hill, the battle had ended, Sam being the victorious one. Garnet doubted that Blossom would join his harem, but she was unexperienced in the ways of the Siv, and she did not know if the doe had to agree to join his harem or not. Sam seemed as if he did not like the way Devi had almost forced blossom to join his harem, so there was a likeliness that he would not make Blossom. Garnet smiled, and looked around, awakening from her musings. She nodded to the two males, almost oblivious to the way they were acting because of the Siv, before beginning to trot down the hill, her strong, auburn paws barely making a sound as she quickly made her way towards Blossom. She did not say a word to the two males, leaving them near the stream to wonder what she was doing; a usual habit of hers. She loved being fussed over, and to have a male thinking about her was even better, even if he was only thinking of her because she had left so abruptly. Garnet grinned, her white teeth flashing for but a moment, then her face fell when she saw the dark coloured young male sitting alone. Svartur. Something about the sight of him being so antisocial made her want to scream, but she knew that she had no place to tell him to stop being that way. There was one thing she wished to tell him, but if she said it, there was also a chance that he would hate her forever for breaking his fragile heart. Everything had been fine, and he had seemed as though he liked that doe, Kila, but now the female was deep in conversation with Kaze, leaving the little male to pout in the corner. He looked up at her with his green eyes, pleading almost for her to speak with him, but instead Garnet walked towards Kaze too, and sat down. She smiled warmly, her bronze eyes reflecting the friendliness and trusting that only rather oblivious, innocent does that had no knowledge of the other worlds outside the herd could have. “Hello there,” She said in a soft voice “I’m Garnet.” It seemed her instincts had taken over her; she was much less shy, as if her body felt the need to know as many males as possible, as many eligible males to join the harems of to ensure strong and handsome offspring. “And you are?” She quizzed, her eyes now wide and curious. She barely sent a glance Kila’s way, feeling a small amount of anger towards the female who seemed to have captured Svartur’s heart. The hormones from the siv were making her act out so strangely, and she felt as if she never had a solid personality or mood; as if her moods changed almost every few moments. It irritated her more than anything, but she had to put up with it until the seasons changed. Suddenly, her thought train crashed. Howling and barking rang in her ears, and her eyes widened, her mouth opening in fear. “What was that?” She asked in a hushed voice.
Agreed Toadfoal, they are the best and my specialty. this was a complete ramble until i decided to add a bit of interaction with the ladies man, AKA Kaze XD

Theonine came running down the hill towards the herd. He had an air of urgency about him and hardly stopped to notice that Sam had won the fight. He would gawk over that later.
He came to a stop a bit away from them, not thinking it worth being in the middle, his voice could carry without doing that. The Prince lifted his head and let out a sound that could be compaired to that of an elk. A bugle like warning that carried with it one word, "DANGER!" But as language is a sensative thing, and danger can have more than one meaning, the tone of his call also carried with it the meaning, "There's danger! But it might not come this way." Just so they'd know to be prepared. Predators often came by, but few dared venture close to such a large herd, Theonine hoped such would be the case this time, otherwise the rams could drive the danger away.
(sorry if that was completely innacurate Goey behavior, I had to make an educated guess, but if someone knows more I'd be quite happy to edit)

Garnet spotted Threonine and a lump formed in her throat, along with a sense of foreboding. She listened to his cry, her sensitive ears catching the meaning of it. Her eyes widened and a frightened squeal escaped her mouth. She ran closer towards him, feeling herself puff up. “What Danger?” She asked in a small voice, “What is it?” Her voice was faint, hard to hear, but she felt her fear was keeping her from speaking any louder. Her lip trembled and she looked back at the others, hoping they wouldn’t think any less of her for being so afraid. “Big danger?” She added. Her language was becoming more and more primitive as an instinct took over; the instinct her ancestors had once exhibited, those many years ago, when they had experienced danger.
Svartur looked up, his forest green eyes blazing with a sort of anger. He felt the need to protect the herd, and he felt as if he should be charging towards the danger. All his instincts and his heart told him to do just that, but a small voice in his head told him that the action would mean sudden death. He watched the Prince from afar, feeling no need to go up to him and wail as Garnet had. “Can we hurt it?” He called out.

"No, not too big danger." Theonine shook his head. "It's a bit away, I don't think it'll do us harm, but better safe than sorry. I don't think we should go out alone anymore for a while though." He looked to Devi for approval, noticing for the first time with surprise that the Prime had apparently not won the fight.

Garnet let out a relieved breath, her eyes closing as she sighed softly. "Ah...then should we worry?" She asked the Prince in a soft voice, feeling her literate-ness returning to her rapidly. She stepped back, but worry still nagged at her in the back of her head. "If we make alot of noise the danger might get scared and leave for good," she suggested. [/center]

MilkyWay nodded, but she was afraid to turn her back. What if something lunged out and caught her? The images flashed in her mind, horrible images with blood and death. She blinked them away, Nixx wouldn't let that happen. Feeling skittish, she hurried after Nixx, whimpering a little and trying very hard not to run for it.

Kila looked down at her hooves, then said "Ah, I uh haven't done very much at all," she sighed with embaressment. She wasn't nervous about talking, just embaressed she was such a boring Goey. From the corner of one sapphire eye, she saw the Goennec that had just come over giving her a dirty look. Kila ignored it, but inside; it was troubling her.

(ok nawee not answering so Ill go ahead and start rping Tia again)
She knew she should take hm proposal into consideration, but what about Talahasi; both Rams had show considerable interest in her. She didn't want to be fought over, but when she looked over at Tala he was talking to another female. She shook her head he was just a flirt. She looked at monsoon and said, "Would you excuse me for a bit?" then walked over to Forest.
(Switching)
Sunrise saw Tia walk away from the geo and made her way down the hill to her. She had alway thought of tia as her adoptive mother. She could see now the female was racked with stress and she wanted to comfort her. She came up beside her and leaned into her while walking, watching her face light up when she did.

Alaska thought about what Kaze had asked for a moment, temporarily forgetting about the doe she had introduced herself to. "Well, not much. I've been keeping up a patrol for enemies every now and then, but nothing else, really." She blinked, realizing she hadn't mentioned the fact that she was in Threonine's harem. She wasn't sure if she should tell Kaze about it, or if he already knew, or what, but finally, she said, "I was also asked to join the Prince's harem, and I accepted. Have you started a harem yet?" The doe was purely curious, but something made her wonder who the ram might have his eyes on.

{ XD Pandora} Kaze looked up as a fiery-colored doe came over and introduced herself; her name being Garnet. "Hello," he said, dipping his head in welcome. He was somewhat crowded, but he paid that fact no attention--he was feeling as good-natured and talktative as usual! The young grey ram perked his ears slightly as he heard Kila's soft voice answer, and he grinned, amused--not at her embarrasment or reply, but just because he didn't care whether she did nothing in her spare time or explored the whole world, or even valley--she was nice to talk to, and she seemed friendly, at least to him, and he liked that. Kaze smiled at Alaska, nodding--he had done that as well; along with just exploring the valley a bit, and having fun. He opened his mouth to say something, then the doe began to speak again, informing him about her accepting the invitation to...the Prince's harem, and a question about his own harem...which in fact, was nonexistant. "Oh," Kaze replied, his ears drooping slightly, then he quickly straightened them before another goennec could notice. For a moment, what seemed the impossible had happened--the ram was almost lost for words! But in a few seconds he recovered his somewhat normal attitude, brushing the thought of the Siv from his mind for a moment longer. "Uh...congrats," he said, laughing somewhat at his response, partly trying to hide his reaction, feeling slightly embarrased. He paused for a moment at the doe's second question, then shifted his front hooves. "Harem?" he asked, a joking twinkle entering his eye. "Oh, you mean the one that doesn't exist?" He grinned, then took the question more seriously. "Nah," he answered, flicked his ears, then continued. "No harem for me, at least not this Siv...I don't know if I will, honestly." He laughed slightly, then shrugged. "I don't know if harems are really...my thing?" he continued, his fur growing slightly hot--he hoped the other goennecs didn't accuse him for being...ungoenneclike? "I just don't know." He glanced at the ground for a moment, then changed the subject, lifting his gaze once more. "Well, anyway," he laughed, going through possible distractions in his head, hoping to change what they were talking about, though it might not work. "About the fight--I wonder how many other rams the Prime is going to face this Siv--after this, even though it was a pretty close fight, I bet he won't want to lose anytime soon." Kaze's attempt to change the subject wasn't exactly...his best coverup, it was somewhat half-hearted-- and he didn't really want to talk about fighting, of course, it was just the first thing that came to mind. I wonder if they noticed... he thought, flicking his tail. He twitched his ear at himself as another thought came to him. And I also hope that they don't think I'm a total thickheaded ram who just wants to talk about fighting! Honestly, I'd rather talk about something else.

Kila's ears perked at the word 'harem'. She felt the need to say something, so she did; not even hearing Kaze change the subject. "Some Goennec's never have a harem. I don't see why any doe would care to join one, anyways," Kila stated, not meaning any offence to any does belonging to a harem. "I mean, how can one male love so many females. It seems better, to me at least, to have a two partner relationship," Kila finished, looking at the ground. She sincerely hoped she hadn't offended anyone.

Crud, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the Prince. Alaska cast her eyes down slightly. She looked up just in time to see a brief look of-was that dissapointment?- cross Kaze's face before he congratulated her, but whatever it was, it was quickly covered again. "I've never been in a harem before, but I don't plan on being a little doe who will swoon at the lightest touch. I have feelings," Alaska explained to Kaze. She didn't know why she felt like being open to him, but he was nice, and it seemed like he wouldn't mind listening. Maybe she was wrong, but it was too late now. "I bet many does would like you," she teased when he said he wasn't the harem-type of ram. She offered a smile, and listened as he asked about the Prime. "Depending on which does he goes for, he might have a lot more fights on his paws after this. Really, though, it does just depend on whether or not the does he's looking at are being looked at by other rams. Especially powerful ones." Looking over at the doe who just spoke, Kila, Alaska laughed a little. "I never really intended on being in a harem, or having a mate. I guess it just... happened."
