Kaze closed his eyes for a moment, letting the wind ruffle his fur, and the gentle sun warm his rime-grey pelt. He felt a feeling of happiness seem to glow inside of him, then shook his head to clear it as they reached their destination; it was time to hunt, and he had to be serious if they were to be successful. The feathery grass was swaying slightly in the gentle breeze, and thankfully, they the wind was still blowing in their direction. Huh? Kaze pricked his velvety black ears as he breathed in a rich scent, that of of rabbit; searching to see if he could locate it among the grasses. Catching Alaska's eye, he nodded silently and promptly crouched down in the grass, a few paces behind the doe. He held his breath as the wind began to change directions, and to his relief it died down for a moment, then as it started up once again, seeming to whisper among the blades of sweet grass, they were downwind once more.

Alaska's tail twitched slightly in annoyance as the wind shifted her and Kaze's scents upward, towards the awaiting prey. She let out a silent breath as the wind died back down, and peeked back at the green-eyed ram, nodding. Let's hope this is easy as always, the doe thought. Her electric blue eyes trained on the rabbit that she could now see, and she got ready to pounce. If it decided to run, Alaska and Kaze would have to be ready to sprint after it. Low on her haunches, the doe lept forward in a graceful arc, coming to land on the startled rabbit. With one nip, she killed it. Standing upright, she held the prey in her mouth, and bent towards Kaze, looking up at him with. "Got the first catch," she mumbled through a mouth of fur, attempting to smile. That was... not as hard as I expected. But we will have to hunt for more than just a scrawny rabbit. {Will post for Roshan later}

Kaze held his breath as Alaska prepared to leap, tensing his legs. If by some chance the doe missed, they woulf have to pursue it and hopefully catch it off guard. Kaze broke into a smile as the cream and brown doe appeared above the ocean of grass; rabbit in mouth. "Great catch!" Kaze said, coming over to where she stood with the prey. He almost reached forward and nuzzled her, but he stopped himself before he even considered. Well, she didn't hate you for asking her to join your harem, but there's no saying she wouldn't hate you for that! He thought to himself, almost rolling his eyes at his thought, but somewhat amused. The grey ram was about to speak once more, when a deep, rich scent met his nose. Pricking his ears, Kaze nodded to Alaska, silently, not daring to say any more, and turned, crouching down so he was hidden from view in the long, feathery grass. The scent he had picked up was that of a plump -or so he hoped, for a hare- hare nearby; rabbits and hares seemed abundant in the valley in which they lived. Creeping forward slowly, he paused and took note of the scent once more, until the mottled brown-furred animal became visible in the grass. The lithe grey ram tensed his legs, preparing for the leap, and narrowed his eyes slightly, holding his breath.

Caught slightly off guard, Alithea's bright green eyes flew open in surprise as she saw the Prince standing before her. A bit flustered at being surprised by his presence, she scrambled up from where she'd been lying on the ground into a sitting position, lightly shaking out her brown and white mane. A disgruntled expression spread across her dainty features as her ears pinned back against her head as she thought of how she must look right now. Why oh why must the Prince catch her just as she was waking up, of all times? After a sidelong glance at her scruffy pelt, she held her head up and looked at him straight in the eyes, surprisingly not having to look up that high, considering how short she was compared to most other Goennecs. Before she had a chance to talk, though, Nixx decided to bump into Threonine, causing her to frown and allow something of a small, barely-there growl to escape her throat before she could stop herself. Embarrassed at the gesture, the dainty Goennec straightened up and pointed her ears foreward, her head held high as she waited for this disturbance to end.
"Hi." The heaviness of sleep still lingered in her tone, causing the corners of her mouth to turn down just a tiny bit. This was accentuated by a small head dip as her posture relaxed, unconsciously presenting herself to him in a more submissive way. There was no doubt in her mind that he wanted to ask her to join his harem; after all, what other reason would he have for talking to her? Alithea's large, white-striped brown tail curled around her small body, unconsciously trying to distract his eyes from her scruffy coat. After all, if she was to become part of the Prince's harem she must present herself to him as best as she could, and a half-asleep scruffy doe would simply not do. (** Sorry for not awesomness, tis 2 in the morning atm and my mind probably isn't functioning that well but I can't sleep, either xP -brain is still wired on Hawaiian Time instead of Mountain Time **)

Garnet's apparent happiness made Devi smile and he forgot all about the impending fight. His focus all aimed towards pleasing the doe. He was not expecting such support from her, but he was overjoyed to hear it. He liked having a harem, but even more, he liked when he felt that he and the does cared for each other. He may not love them as a mate would, but he loves them all the same. "There's a very nice patch of dandelions over on the other side of the hill over there" He gestured towards said hill with a flick of his snowy tail. "I saw them just yesterday, there should be plenty." He grinned wide, hoping that she liked dandelions as much as he did.
"Another early riser, uh?" Forrest chuckled a bit as she took another bite. "It's always nice to eat in peace, especially when you've found something so delicious." She raised her head again and followed Blossom's gaze. She was staring at the Devi. For a second, she considered asking the white doe why she seemed so interested, but thought better of it. Instead, she directed the conversation towards the other ram in Blossom's life. "How's it going with Sam? Expecting a kid yet?" The second part was more of a tease than a serious question, though she was curious to know.

Threonine seemed rather pleased just to see that she hadn't reacted towards him with hostility. He figured that, just to be on the safe side, he should get to know her a little before officially asking her to join his harem, although it was undoubtedly what he had in mind.
He hadn't meant to startle her though, and apparently hadn't noticed that she'd been actually sleeping when he walked up. He still didn't have much of a chance to notice that her coat was scruffy, his eyes were subconsciously averted towards her tail as it was the most noticable moving object. After a moment he blinked and looked instead into her eyes, she was quite striking, even a little exotic in appearance.
"Would you..." He paused thoughtfully, getting the feeling that he was in control of whatever conversation was to come, and that he should play it carefully and in a way that might please Alithea rather than making her feel like he was narrow minded. Perhaps a different atmosphere was needed for a pleasant conversation anyway, "Would you care to join me by the watering hole?" He noted that she'd just woken up and was careful to add, "I can wait for you there if you'd like, unless there's something else you've got in mind for today?"

Blossom's ears flattened and her eyes clouded for a moment, her face turning to her hooves at the question. "Sam is... fine..." she answered, her tail giving a nervous flick and her mane bristling in shame.
Her thoughts drifted once again to the worries that had plagued her during the morning. "I am not expecting a kid... not yet... and I am not sure I will be expecting a kid this Siv," she added in a low mutter, her eyes brimming with sadness and worry. "I don't know if Sam sees me that way... He said I would make a wonderful mother... but he... he ignores me. I don't think we have really talked more than a good morning ever since Hannie joined the harem."
Blood rushed to her ears as she realized she may have spoken more than needed. She hadn't mentioned the thing that worried her the most, but she sounded almost as though if she was angry that Hannie had joined the harem, which was not true. If anything, Hannie was possibly one of the most pleasant soldiers in the herd. However, Sam's obvious preference of her made her feel like a cast away, and as though she wasn't really needed.

"No, it's fine." She noted that her tone sounded a bit rushed and gave herself a mental slap. Smart, Alithea. Sounding desperate is not the way to go. Her tongue flicked out and licked around her chapped lips at the thought of the clear, pristine waters. The watering hole sounded like a good idea at the moment; she was quite thirsty, after having just woken up. With a twinge of annoyance, she noticed that the edge of sleep still haven't cleared from her tone. Still, it was not or never; the end of the Siv was coming soon, she could feel it in her blood. The instinct to please, please, please was slowly ebbing away, allowing her to finally breathe for the first time in... well, a long, long time. Alithea didn't like the Siv very much; sure, it made baby Goennecs, and she loved baby Goennecs, but it made her act in unpredictable ways. She knew she couldn't control her emotions or actions normally, and the added hormones just made it way more worse. Standing up, she gave her pelt a soft shake, dislodging some of the dirt from her white-splotched brown coat, though most of it still clung on stubbornly. Fortunately, it wasn't very visible on her dark spots, but the white spots... well, that was a whole different matter. Once again feeling self-conscious, she averted her dark green eyes onto the horizon, her tail once again curling at the side that was closest to Threonine. She didn't look presentable at all, and running into the water wasn't really, ah, dignified.
"Shall we go?" Her voice contained a slight, barely there edge to it that sounded like embarrassment mixed with desperation mixed with that tone others used when they were trying to appear okay when they actually weren't.

Garnet grinned back, her big brown eyes filled with warmth and friendliness. "Thats sounds really good," She murmured, closing her eyes in contentment for a moment. Her gaze swung towards the hill, and the vibrant yellow colour she could spot in the distance made her smile. "I love dandelions. Shall we go now?" The doe asked. She shook her russet red-brown fur and took one enthusiastic step forwards, looking over her shoulder at Devi. She gestured for him to lead, after all, he was the Prime.

ooc: Whoops, I seem to have missed alot. The Siv is just about over right? bic: Kila lay in the tall grass, only her ears and horns peeking up. She sighed, standing up. It seemed that she wouldn't be joining a harem this Siv, but she was fine with it. If no rams had deemed her worthy, who was she to complain. Kila shook herself; small peices of grass flying off of her misty grey fur. Stretching her head down to let her teeth snatch up some grass, she sighed again, this one contented. This was one of Kila's favorite spots; it was close to the other Goey's, but secluded in its own way.

"Oh good!" His tail swished happily. "If you'd objected, I would have no idea where to have suggested." He chuckled, taking a proud step forward, directly into a gopher hole. His whole air of pride as well as his grin dissipated as he stumbled forward stopping himself with legs asprawl and a look of total embarrassment on his face. Blood rushed to his ears and he flattened them, trying to hide the obvious shame they told, as he righted himself. "Erm . . . Sorry, about that." He stumbled over the apology and gestured to her to continue with him. He hoped she wouldn't ridicule him for it.
"Oh . . ." Forrest's teasing had obviously hit a sore spot and she suddenly felt awful for dragging into the open like that. She was silent for a moment, weighing her options. She wanted to help Blossom, as was her nature, but she knew kind words would not fix this, nor would they make her feel better. She looked up to see Devi and Garnet looking about to head off, towards Devi's favorite dandelion patch she guessed. He had not eaten yet this morning. She'd seen him eying Blossom and Blossom seemed to be very interested in him as well. 'If i could just get them to talk. . . Maybe, she wouldn't have to worry about Sam's attention anymore.' "Come take a walk with me, Blossom. My knees are starting to seize up." Without waiting for Blossom's response, she started off on her way around the field. She made sure to set a slow pace so that they wouldn't get there before the prime and his doe.

A wide grin spread over Secretariat's muzzle at the Prime's embarrassing move. He allowed himself the slight sadistic pleasure that washed over him, his distorted thinking (most likely incorrectly) connecting the slip with nervousness. Surely, surely, Devi was giving himself away, he figured. With a snort, he clambered onto a rock that gave him a relatively good view of the fields and the river. A plan was forming in his head; granted, it was a rather dumb idea at any other time, but, with the vestiges of the Siv clinging to his addled brain, it was brilliant. He shook out his mane proudly, his sharp eyes watching the larger male.
Absolutely brilliant.

Blossom opened her mouth to ask Forest if she was okay, grateful that the elder doe had not pushed the subject further, but noticed that she was already up and about. Clambering to her hooves and paws, she got up rapidly, following the slow moving elder and quickly catching up to her side.
The flower pattered doe stayed silent for a bit, looking down at the ground, her green hooves standing out in the green grass due to their delicate color. Desperately searching for words, she wondered what to say. A slight movement caught her eye and she saw Sam prancing around Hannie, not a care in the world in his eyes, and her ears dropped again as she remembered why it was that she had been spending her days by the stream, as Sam was not very fond of water.
Turning her head, she sighed. Is it even possible for a stag to forget a female in his harem? she wondered, remaining quiet and not paying attention to where Forest and her were heading.

"Sure!" Treonine stared at her for a moment, not to be rude, but because he thought her behaviour curious. It made him wonder if something was wrong. Is she reluctant? He wondered for a moment, No, exactly the opposite... Maybe I just wasn't expecting... Hm.
After that he tried not to think anymore. This was the end of the Siv, not "think about the little stuff" time. So instead he gave her a warm smile and swished his tail in a reassuring way. Also, he was getting hot and a few flies, he wasn't sure how they managed to be so far up in the mountains in the first place, were starting to bother him. Then, without pause, he turned to canter down towards the watering hole and giving a bound every now and then.
The watering hole itself wasn't actually far away, around the edge of the edge of the field where rocks in the mountain had been curved into a small dip many years ago. Perhaps it had once been deeper, but now it was shallow enough to stand in.
Threonine stopped by the edge and turned back, just to check that Alithea was coming. He still wasn't afraid of rejection, but he was still going to give it his best effort. Hopefully he wouldn't have to worry too much. He found in the past that if does are caught slightly off guard, and not feeling particularly prideful at that particular moment, they're more likely to agree to joining a harem. It didn't matter to him whether they were shining clean at that particular moment, or had just caught a particularly juicy piece of prey, so long as he didn't get a kick to the face or an angry "No!".

Garnet nodded and began walking towards the hill, her back to Devi. She was about to smile and ask the Prime something when a loud thud from behind her made the doe turn to see Devarsi with his legs down a gopher hole. She snorted and stifled a laugh, smiling warmly. "Dont worry about it. Happens to everyone," She told him, her voice sincere. She walked backwards to stand beside him. She placed her furry auburn muzzle under his to tilt his head high. "Come on, be proud! No-one else saw you, I dont think," She said, giggling goodheartedly. She began to walk forwards, beckoning to the Prime to follow.

Devi didn't see Secretariat watching, nor did it cross his mind that he may have seen. The ram was still fully focused on the current happening. With his chin up, he smiled a bit, shyly. He shook his mane, trying to dislodge the embarrassment still clinging to his ears. Garnet had laughed, but he was grateful that it wasn't a cruel or demeaning laugh. It was a sweet laugh one that did not make him feel as though she thought any less of him and his shame melted away. "Thanks Garnet" His trademark grin crept back onto his face. He pranced after her, careful to watch his step this time. Suddenly, he felt a surge of energy and his old playful self. "Race Ya!" He shouted as he took off. He turned back about six lengths ahead. A look of playful mischief replacing the grin and so opposite of his previous embarrassment. He added in a friendly tail swish to further encourage a race.
"So! Hear any good gossip lately?" Forest's default question for distracting another was always about gossip. She didn't really care much for it, but it opened a chance for the other to focus on something else for a while. From the corner of her eye, she kept an eye on the Prime. Making sure she wasn't moving too quickly.

Blossom looked over to Forest, her face a bit confused, as though if she wasn't all there at the moment. She slowly processed the question, then realized that Forest was attempting to make conversation, and shame made her mane fur bristle as she realized she had been ignoring the elder.
Her mind started gathering the few things she sometimes heard out of the other goennecs, but she realized not much had been happening. "The Prince and Prime losing on the first day of the Siv is really the most exciting news we have had for a while. I did hear the rumors that Milky Way is expecting young however," she muttered uncomfortably, not liking gossip as much as most females did. "I am certain others have more information... I am just out of the loop on things lately," she added sheepishly, her ear giving a small flick.

Garnet grinned, watching the male as he shook off his shame like droplets of rain on a leaf. The Prime wasn’t as self-loving and stuck up as she had previously thought, it seemed. Even he made mistakes and felt embarrassed. She suddenly felt her face grow hot with annoyance. Why had she had such horrible thoughts about Devi earlier? Suddenly, the doe was awoken from her musings by the ever growing confident voice of Devarsi. She smiled, her auburn coat shining in the sun as she shook her mane. “That’s fine,” she replied. As he picked up the pace, she too quickened her pace. She felt as if she was flying along. “You’re gonna lose!” She called, her voice teasing as she sped up. Her chestnut hooves made an echoing noise on the ground as they pounded against it, and the hill became larger and larger as she neared it. She smiled contentedly. “I’m winning!” she exclaimed.

"Tank ooh" Alaska's reply came out muffled as she moved the rabbit in her mouth, and she had to stifle a laugh. The doe looked up at Kaze, and sensed that he was holding back something. She was about to say something when his face lit up, and he caught the scent of a hare, indicating for silence. The blue-eyed doe nodded, and carefully made her way to a small area a distance away from the hare, so it wouldn't scent the prey that they already caught. Dropping her small load of fur, Alaska silently, yet quickly, made her way back up the hill to where Kaze was about to pounce on the rabbit. She tensed, her hind-leg muscles ready in case she had to bolt after the creature.

Sam heard a groggy voice close by and he looked down to see a stirring black and red shape. Blue eyes looked up at him as the doe got up, and he puffed his chest happily as he thought how lucky he was to be waking up next to the two best does in the herd, or so they were in his mind. He blinked suddenly and noticed Blossom wasn't there, and his ear flicked as he realized there was no fresh scent. She must have gotten up early in the morning. I wonder where she ran off to... Oh well, no matter. She tends to prefer her alone time. His dismissing thoughts drove him further away from the idea of how far away he was pushing the young doe on her first Siv, but he blissfully turned to Hannie, amber eyes sparkling as he wagged his tail in a dog like fashion.
"Good morning to you as well. I am assuming you are hungry? Ready to go grazing? Or would you rather do some hunting? Or! We could always go bother Prodigy. Of course only one would be needed to bash heads with him... Maybe-" his voice kept going on and on with random chatter, thoughts of pranks and adventures for the day running wild as he kept thinking out-loud, almost forgetting that Hannie could hear every word that was coming out of his mouth. Hannie giggled, still waking completely up as she listened to Sam excitedly rattle on and on about.... well, everything. Her tail wiggled a little in response, and she grinned. "Yes, I am rather hungry now that you mention it," she said. "No, you shouldn't go bother anyone this early in the morning either -perhaps you can later," she added, voice light and humorous. She tilted her head to the side, considering. "I don't really have much preference on what we have for breakfast, how about you? Would you rather hunt or graze?"
Hannie vaguely noticed the other absent female, but didn't think to much of it; she had probably woken earlier, and, bored with waiting for them to wake up, had gone to find food herself. Hannie liked Blossom -she seemed nice, and although she wasn't nearly as energetic as Sam or herself, she was fun to be with. She hadn't really noticed Sam's lack of attention towards Blossom because like Sam, most of her attention was taken up with her partners energetic nature. I'm sure she'll make her way back soon, Hannie thought cheerfully, and her thoughts drifted away from the flowered doe.
