Moss beamed at Razzy as she gave him her response, his head giving a pleased motion. Turning to look at Northern Lights and Doe, he could help but feel a twinge of worry. Northern Lights wasn't the best at surviving by himself, even in such a peaceful and safe place as the one they lived in. Going on a journey and keeping the ram safe would prove to be quite the challenge. He could only hope everything would go smoothly for the herd.
"Well, let us get going, then. Might as well join the gathered groups. Devarsi is probably anxious to get going. Keeping him waiting would be cruel," he said, cocking his head towards where the herd was clustered together in small groups of friends and family.
Noticing the embarrassed tone in Ashe's voice, Sam couldn't help but be slightly reminded of Blossom when she first came to the herd. A small glint of fondness crosses his eyes at the memory. Thinking about her own question, he realized he had been so busy trying to help the others out, he had yet to allocate a group to travel with himself. Blinking with a rather blank expression on his face, Sam wondered what he would do, when it hit him that if Ashe was by herself and without a good number of friends, he could help her out both in finding a group and hopefully make a friend. With that, he would solve his problem of needing a companion as well, if she were to accept his offer.
"Too short a time to make many acquaintances? Nonsense! Why, if that is the case, I insist yer travel with me, Ashe. Why, I am normally loud enough to count for five acquaintances, eh?" Sam stated, a booming laugh following his words.
Giving Finlay a confused look, wondering whom she never quite saw alone, making her figure he had a lot of connections in the herd, would want to travel with her, Blossom opened her mouth to ask him, but realized it would be rude a second before a word was uttered. Flicking her ear in thought, she wondered what to do. Half of her had wanted to accompany Devi during the journey, but she knew this would not come to pass. Being the Prime of the herd, Devi would be far too busy to pay much attention to a single group. Wishing to have an extra pair of eyes to keep the twins from getting into too much trouble or hurt while they reached a new place to call home, Blossom turned a kind look back at Finlay, her tail giving a complacent flick.
"I would love to travel together with you, Finlay... if you can manage to muster up the patience to handle these two," she added, giving the twins an amused look as Ander turned an indignant look at these words while Sihir simply smirked with conviction.

Sorry guys, I was hoping to be able to make a more substantial reply, but for now, I'm going to have to leave it at Devi. Anyone waiting on replies for any of my other characters, feel free to continue on without me so I'm not holding you up.
Once he reached the northern boarder, Devi turned to face the following herd, just to take a count of those who might have decided to ignore his summons. He was pleased to see that, aside from a few stragglers who seemed to have gotten the message late, everyone seemed to be willing to move, despite some rather frightened looking faces. He searched the crowd for Forest Run and her companion Lu Ten. Being quite old, he was not wanting to let them fall behind and was glad to see they had both managed to travel with the bulk of the herd. He felt a slight pang of guilt. Forest had been hoping to spend her remaining days in leisure, lounging in the valley. He was disappointed that he could not guarantee she'd pass in peace when her time came. The feeling faded quickly as the thought of her being left to burn in the deadly fire crept its way into his head. It was sad, but for the best. Now that he had made his decision, and set them all firmly on this journey, he was feeling much better, though nothing ha really changed since earlier, he felt stronger and more willful.
Waiting only a few moments longer, until everyone was within earshot, he readied himself for the first steps into the forest. "Look back if you must, but continue on, brothers and sisters. Come and take your first steps toward our escape with me." He said firmly, turned, and started making his way into the trees, heading due north. He continued in silence, listening intently for any sign of a problem behind him.

Claire was quickly pulled from her worried musings when warm fur came into contact with her side. Startled, the young doe quickly pranced back a step, ears pinned back as she analyzed the situation. It took her only a moment to recognize the other as one of the herd. She huffed in embarassment and stepped forward again, dark tail waving back and forth with curiosity, fears forgotten. If she wasn't alone, then things would be okay. She smiled slightly in the general direction of whomever her 'rescuer' was, and felt even more relieved when she scented another from the herd approaching. Definently not alone, then.

Razzy. Feeling another pleased rush Razzy nodded towards Moss, her smile slightly nervous now as she imagined the journey ahead 'your right of course Moss, let's go's with a little determined toss of her head she started forwards towards the gathered groups, her eyes scanning the group for her friends, she worried not for the rams, Flip wouldn't bat an eyelid and Fig would think it a challenge, it was Saturn she worried for, the doe was nervous and jumpy with few friends. Glancing towards the edge of the group she saw an elegant grey doe talking seriously to the black and orange doe. China had found Saturn then, Razzy sighed heavily feeling better now she knew her friend was safe.
Stopping with the group Razzy shifted from paw to hoof, the waiting now becoming a source of agitation to her. Now the decision was made she was keen to go, to get started on their journey. At Devarsi's words Razzy lifted her head intently, so it was time. Turning head to look at Moss she offered a somewhat nervous smile 'looks like its time to go' she said softly with a flick of her short tail. Lifting a hoof she took her first step towards a new home.
Flip Having stayed far enough back from the elder doe so not to frighten her Flip was stood idly by as the prime spoke, he flicked an ear as the elder spoke. Pacing forward with a nod Flip stretched his legs, this was going to be a long walk after all. Taking a few steps towards the elder he bowed his head gently to nose her shoulder, hoping the sense of calm he usually radiated would be of some help to her on their journey together. Snorting a soft warm breath against her neck he gave a small push gently, encouraging her to move as he took an experimental step forward, wanting to help her. lifting his head to look over Claire to Penny he smiled softly 'we need to go now, you ok?'.

Kaze gazed solemnly up at the Prime and nodded, taking a deep breath. This was it. He glanced back for a moment, his deep, vibrant emerald gaze sweeping over the beautiful valley that was their home, with its gently rolling meadows dotted with wildflowers, with the creek cascading over river rocks as it gently weaved through the valley. He forced himself to look away, aimed towards the north. He looked at Subira, and gave her a reassuring grin, hoping he looked more confident than he felt. He gave T a playful nudge, grinning, then took a deep breath and turned to Subira. "You ready?"
T grinned back up at Subira, then perked his ears as the Prime spoke. He turned and gazed back at their home, an ear wavering, then giggled as Kaze gently nudged him forward. "Hey!" He playfully pawed at the air and bounded forward, weaving through the other goennecs, his herdmates, until he spotted Ander and Sihir following Blossom and Finlay. "Hi Ander!" he called. "Hi Sihir! Morning Blossom!" [/color]

Emora laughed " Yeah, I didn't sleep well last night " Smiling she laugh at him dozing off as well, as he lazily staggered over to her. " Yeah we probably should " She replied twitching an ear. If should could find a stream, that'd wake her up by shoving her face in it.
Seeing the Prince walk up to her Jay, smiled slightly. " Hi Threoine " She replied, twitching her tail. She didn't know the Prince well but she heard he was a respectable and nice young ram. His fur was similar to hers as well, which she licked. Other than her father, she was one of the only blueish colored goennec's and it made her feel uncomfortable like she stood out. " No actually, I couldn't find anyone to travel with " She replied, sighing. It'd be great to have someone to talk to, but her mother was probably with others and she had know idea where she was. Her father and her were never really close anyway.
Ladybug smiled, how sweet he's looking to find his mother. Lady didn't realize it was Syri though, who was blind. Lady didn't know the doe, but she appeared so friendly. "Okay" She replied, following him through the mass bodies. " No no... actually I have no family within the herd " She replied with a sigh, missing her family. Quickly ignoring that thought, she looking around for his mother. " Wait, who is your mother Felix? " She said, out of curiosity.

"It certainly looks like it..." Moss responded once he heard Razzy, heading off with his group consisting of Northern Lights, Doe, Razzy, and for some reason, Native Dancer, whom seemed to be trailing close to Northern Lights. "Sky, I don't want you heading off on your own, alright?" the black and white ram called out to Northern Lights, giving the peasant a concerned look.
Settled nicely in the middle of the herd, Moss knew he had little to worry about. The possibility of Northern Lights disappearing suddenly while surrounded by so many goennecs was minimum. It didn't make the ram stop himself from worrying, however, his affection for the spacey male only too well known. Trying to push these thoughts aside, not wishing to worry Doe or Razzy, nor wanting to appear weak and troubled at the idea of a journey, though, Moss threw his head back, his steps becoming more affirmative as he followed along with the rest, quietly hoping they would soon find a new place to call home.
"Hey there, T!" Sihir responded after her brother and mother's greetings, a grin crossing her face. The troublemaker Sihir always enjoyed the company of the happy go lucky Takuo, and seeing him close by in what promised to be an otherwise dull journey filled with her mother's reminders to behave herself brightened her mood. "Any chance you have seen River Song or Oly around?" she asked, not doubting that Todd was probably clinging to his mother's side and would be hard to pry off for the duration of the journey. A side glance from her mother quickly made her straighten up her pose, making herself look as innocent and naive as she could possibly muster, which wasn't very effective when part of her mischievous grin was still there.

Elodie surged forward after the prime, loathing the move already. And yet, some part of her was thrilled. This was her chance to apply her muscles; her strength. I will prove that I can do this mother. I will. Good. Because so far, you've lacked the power that a daughter of mine should have. Shame flooded El's mind, her cheeks filled with violent blush. She should have done better. She would do better.
Relief. Pure relief washed over him. She said yes. Yes! He nuzzled her in response, moving his head so he could bury his nose into her soft fur. Yes. "No, I am ready. " He pulled his head back and looked into her eyes. They were liquid emerald pools, the eyes that had been a comfort to him for so long. "Devarsi is already moving the herd. We should go." Quietly, he stepped forward, walking side by side with Kin; all the while staying near to the bulk of the herd. Straying would be dangerous.
Sayle blinked in surprise. Huh. Here was a ram who was actually polite, if even a bit concerned? She had to admit, she was intrigued. "I am fine, I assure you. No damage done." She gave him a small smile. She recognized him a bit, he was usually down the stream a bit from where she spent her time, planning and doodling in the soft ground. She didn't think she'd ever heard him speak before. "I'm Sayle. It's nice to meet you, Coo. I've seen you down by the stream. What exactly do you do down there?" She twisted her head a bit to listen to their Prime for the second time, and she watched him walk beyond the tree line before snapping back to attention.
Noting the Prime's words, Coo stepped forward a bit. "Do you mind if I walk with you for a ways, Sayle?"
"No, not at all." Her eyes scanned the crowd, but found it devoid of her sister. Noticing a flick of gray, she saw the other doe walking with the rest of the herd farther up, closer to the front of the group.
"Thank you." They walked together a little ways into the woods without speaking, before he answered her. I like to stay near the stream and watch the tadpoles. I've been watching them since they were eggs, it's fascinating to watch them grow legs. And you, what do you do near the stream?"
Kin trailed along with the herd, next to Ahka for quite a ways. His tail repeatedly flicked across her rump, swishing away the bothersome flies. Her paws flowing into a rhythm, she began to hum quietly, matching Ahka's pace with her own.

Claire's attention quickly was dragged away from the other doe as she felt warm breath on her shoulder and a nose nudging her lightly. The young doe hadn't noticed the ram approaching, but she quickly decided that she liked his presence greatly. He wasn't worried, or panicked. Just calm, and calm was good. She found herself touching her own nose to his shoulder in turn, suprised to find that she really couldn't reach any higher than that. He was tall, then. Claire stepped forward tentatively as he did, feeling unusually safe as she again touched her muzzle to his shoulder, checking to make sure that he was still there. He wants me to follow, she realized happily after a moment, swishing her tail in exuberation as she herself pranced forward a step, smiling back at where she figured the ram to be, and then towards where the other doe had been before. I understand. We can go together. She felt considerably calmer and safer than she had been before. The doe was obviously very nice, and the ram was gentle and calm. If she could stick with them, then perhaps travelling wouldn't be too bad.

Razzy Stepping lightly beside Moss the doe felt much braver for having his strong presence next to her, she found it easier to walk onwards with her head high when she felt confident. Glancing round at the swirl of bodies she was pleased to see most of the herd ready and willing to go, as for her own thoughts on the move she was becoming more curious about where they were going than anything. A brief glance in Flips direction confirmed her suspicion that he was taking it all in stride, helping further dispense any uneasy feelings. With her dainty hooves and paws flicking easily across the ground Raz couldn't help but give a flick of her short fluffy tail and a quick bound, she liked stretching her legs after all. A smile firmly in place she was sure she could retain her playful spirit through the journey.
Fig Flicking his tail with a slight yawn Fig quickly shook his fluffy coat out, it was going to be a long journey and he needed to be awake for it. Excitement started to build as the herd moved off and he pranced forwards a few steps, keen to get started on the journey now. Glancing back at Emora he laughed lightly 'lets go!' Heading quickly towards the moving herd, keen to stay close to the front. Trotting along with his head turning this way and that the ram.gave off a somewhat excited and playful air, like a kid again.
Flip. A smile slowly crossed the rams face as Claire returned his touch, pleased she seemed comfortable with him and hoping this would help her as they travelled. Feeling the touch of her muzzle again he grinned as she pranced forwards, letting out a happy sounding snort before following close to her side, near enough that he could feel the warmth from her coat but not quite close enough to touch. Glancing at Penny he Gave her a warm smile. Bending his head slightly he blew gently onto Claire's neck, reassuring her that he was there and walking with her, quite happy to walk along at the back of the moving herd Flip settled into a comfortable even walk, feeling pretty content.

"Please! It would be an absolute pleasure to have another familiar face around." Norman said quickly, before Virgil had a chance to respond. However, the other ram made no attempts to argue, and simply nodded politely to Alec. "I've never actually been North either." The brown ram added after a brief hesitation. "I'm not sure how much I'm looking forward to the cold, but it should certainly be a better alternative to being killed by that fire stuff." He wrinkled his nose in disapproval of the current situation. But then he seemed to remember something he'd wanted to ask Alec, and his expression changed. "Hey, where's Ashe? Shouldn't she be traveling with you?"
"You don't?" Felix failed to hide the surprise in his tone, and proceeded to shake his head in embarrassment. That was one of his personal rules, not to pry unless it seemed appropriate. But he couldn't help feeling childishly curious. Perhaps now was not the time to ask where her family was, but he had to admit to himself that in the near future he probably would anyway. "My mother is Syri. The last time I saw her, she was with Flip. I don't know if she still is, but I figured it's worth asking."
Threonine gazed at Jay for a moment before letting out a light chuckle. "Well, I should be glad to keep you company. But I shall be doing a lot of moving around within the herd. I hope you won't mind." Originally the Prince hadn't planned on seeking out any does until the herd reached their new destination. But then, he realized, this might be just as good an opportunity. If he could gather some of the currently unaccompanied does into a makeshift harem, they might feel more comfortable with the journey, as well as offer several extra sets of eyes and ears in case anything went wrong. Perhaps Jay would be one of the ones accepting of such a role.
Subira listened carefully to the Prime's words, and felt a little shiver travel down her spine. But she stomped her front hooves onto the ground. If she looked back now, she would never want to continue forward. So instead she kept her gaze ahead, glancing at Kaze and nodding silently to his grin. Everything would be alright, if they just kept moving forward.
She watched T bound forward through the crowd again, and blinked a couple of times, looking up at Kaze. "Where does he get all of that energy?"

" Nope, not at all. " Jay replied, narrowing her eyes, wondering what he was thinking. " If you need any help, I'm here " She said, knowing that it was a big herd and being only two watching over the whole herd would be hard. Jay wanted to help them watch over actually, growing up in the herd she knew many goennec's other than the very newcomers.
Emora smiled, what nice company she thought and laughed. Trotting beside him she smiled, the wind blew in her face. Closing her eyes she shook herself "That was unexpected" She said giggling and trotted past Fig grinning. She wasn't sure why but, traveling made Emora feel more safe even though she hated it. She always wondered why she felt so happy with Fig, usually it gets boring after a while but with him it didn't.
Lady smiled, not many goennec's knew she didn't have family within the herd, and she wasn't extremely keen on everyone knowing. She didn't like her past one bit and tried to avoid it as much as possible. Knowing Felix meant no harm, she just shrugged it off. Its fine with him, she thought. "Your mom's Syri? I didn't know, and you dad is Virgil right? You took look alike" She replied, thinking about how sweet Syri was. Even if she was blind, she had a good heart and Lady liked her a lot. " Your mom is very nice, I like her a lot" Lady said softly.
Liwa strode around, her pelt clean and shiny. Just before she had cleaned herself since the smoke was making it dull, or so she thought. Puffing out her chest she looked for someone to travel with, no one seemed interested in her though. Grumbling she stayed at the back, looking around from the Prince or the Prime she saw Threoine. He seemed busy though, talking to Jay. Growling, a flare of jealously grew inside her. How can someone like Jay be talking to someone as handsome and high ranking as the Prince? She thought, obviously annoyed at the fact he wasn't talking to her. Looking around for other rams, she found none that weren't already busy. So, Liwa walked by herself, but she stayed close enough to the herd. She was ready to swoop in and get into another conversation, particularlly between a doe and a ram.

T beamed, striking golden eyes shining as he grinned at Sihir. She was definitely a good friend who he loved to play with, as was her brother, Ander, who was more quiet but still just as fun. He perked an ear at her question, then scanned over the herd (or, what he could see at least) then apologetically shook his head. "Nope, I haven't seen either of them." He tilted his head, silky ebony mane bouncing, thinking, then opened his mouth to speak, then reconsidered. He was about to ask if they should go look for the others, then remembered Sam's lighthearted but serious reminder. (A little bit of a T block, sorry D8) Kaze watched T bound away, his vibrant green eyes flooded with warmth and amusement. Takuo had obviously already recovered from his fright, and was now clearly excited about the adventure. He perked a velvety black ear at Subira's words, then shook his head, grinning. "I have no idea. I don't think T ever runs out of energy ." His gaze followed the little gold ram until he saw him stop safely next to Blossom, where he was eagerly talking to Sihir and Ander, then smiled warmly at Subira.

Ashe blinked once, then a second time, surprised by Sam’s proposition as well as by his resounding laughter. She couldn’t help but to join him, and laughed heartily.
« That’s sounds like a fair plan to me!» she answered through her giggles. « It sure solves my problem, and your company seems fine enough one doesn’t need any more friend.» she teased him.
She gave another flick of her tail, and saw movement ahead of the crowd. It seemed like the herd was starting to move. Good, the sooner they would reach their destination, the better for everybody. She really hoped it would goes without any incident, but such a large troup would attract attention. She didn’t like that idea, and promised herself she would keep an eye on the weaker element so they stayed in the center of the herd. Snapping out of her thought, she gave a warm smile to Sam.
« Seems like they’re leaving. Come on, big guy, we wouldn’t want to be left behind? »
If it hadn’t been improper, Finlay would have grinned. One step at a time, he was getting closer to the delicate doe. He had feared she already had planned on going with Devarsi, but she had came to the same conclusion as him : the Prime would be too busy managing the herd to take care of her.
«Perfect. Please let me now if my presence becomes an inconvenience. And it would be my pleasure to help you with them. I’m sure they aren’t half as bad as you would make me believe.» he answerd, winking towards the two youngling.
A small part of him would let them to the wolves, but he knew better than to do such an horrible thing. Getting « friend » with them would help him to win over Blossom. Plus, it wasn’t in his mindset to diminish the herd by getting rid of those two young soldier. They were obviously good kids and would be an asset to the herd, and Finlay wasn’t a murderer.
Another kid joined them, Takuo if he could recalled correctly. He nodded a greeting, and left the young ones to their games. He turned his head around and noticed some movement. They were off.
« It seems like Devarsi started moving. If you have anything else left to do here, now would be a good time to do it.»
The young ram was more than pleased to hear a positive answer. He gave a quick flick of his tail, glad of this answer. He noted the quiet answer of Virgil, and wonder if something was wrong.
He was taken aback by Norman’s question. His ears flatten on his head, and he suddenly looked uneased.
« Maybe, I don’t know… Since we arrived, I’ve tried talking with her but she always seems too busy to hang out with me. I guess being a soldier and all, and with the Siv being around the corner, she has no time for a peasant like me…»
Despise his optimistic nature, Alec wasn’t quite sure about what he affirmed. There was something wrong about Ashe’s behaviour, but he didn’t grasp that it was his behaviour that caused it. He smiled awkwardly.
« I guess there’s nothing I can do about it, I don’t want to trouble her, I’ve done enough back in our old herd. »
He looked at the sky, and his ears straigthen again.
« You shouldn’t worry too much about the cold, Norman. I hear there’s some Goennec living in colder area, and they do just fine. No reason we shouldn’t be able to do the same, right? And you know what I’m the most eager about? Being away from this smoke cloud and finally being able to have a good bad. I feel so dirty, it makes me sick.» he said as he shook his fur, trying to get rid of an imaginary layer of dirt.

Giving an annoyed groan, Sihir's ears flattened, her mischievous gaze turning into a somewhat concerned one. Where could River Song have headed off to? The delicate looking female rarely spent her days away from Sihir, although there was no denying she had been seeing less and less of her friend lately. The same could be said about Oly, but unlike River Song, Oly had a bit of an independent streak, so her disappearances were to be expected. Turning to her mother, Sihir gave her an out of character serious look, her paws shifting nervously, then turned to Takuo. What if her friend got left behind? Suddenly this journey seemed like a bad idea.
Knowing his sister would be impossible to travel with until her friends had been found to be safe, Ander scanned the area as well, knowing the doe's white and red pelt only too well. While he wasn't quite as tall as River Song just yet, his ears perked up as soon as he saw her unmistakable coat alongside Bear, one of the herd's soldiers. While he found this a rather odd combination, having never seen River Song with the ram, or with any male soldier at that matter, he was none the less relieved to see she was already on the move. Turning to Sihir, he quickly let her know about River Song's whereabouts, earning a rather confused but relieved look in response. Once this had been taken care of, he noticed Finlay and Blossom speaking, and a rather overprotective streak coursed through Ander as he hurried to his mother's side, giving Finlay a rather judging look as he spoke, although he couldn't help but suppress a smile as he thought about anyone judging just how much of a pawful Sihir could be.
As Ander took care of the problem that would have certainly arisen had Sihir not found his friend, Blossom gave the kid a grateful look as he rushed back towards her. Making sure that her daughter was still nearby as well, she turned to watch the herd as it begun to move, nodding as she agreed with Finlay. It would be a problem if they hung around any longer. Turning to Finlay, she gave a small nod, agreeing with him.
"Thank you, Finlay. You are much too kind. And you are right, we best get moving. Otherwise we will get left behind. Come along now, kids," she called, turning back to the twins who, gratefully, were already close by and ready to move as well as she headed forward, catching up with those who had started to move already.
Turning to the herd, he could see that most already started following Devarsi, and a sheepish grin crossed his face. He had definitely been much too distracted looking for stragglers. He almost became one himself, and dragging poor Ashe with him in the process. Cocking his head to the goennec mass, he walked forward, keeping in pace with Ashe.
"Der, you see? What would I 'ave done without yer? I woulda probably been left behind already. Let's get movin' before anyone starts missin' us," he joked as he walked, hoping he would be able to keep a this light spirit during their journey.

Fig Padding along easily next to Emora he grinned as the breeze ruffled through his fur, touching his skin and cooling him gently. Fig found himself quite easy in the doe's company and considered her a friend, she was fun to be around and he found himself quite fond of her. As they moved onwards he found himself glancing round the herd, aware there were faces in the crowd he vaguely recognised but barely knew, with a flick of his tail he caught sight of a pretty doe he was sure was named Liwa. Without noticing what he was doing he found himself walking taller, chest puffed out and head high to show off his glossy coat and strong stature.
This sent his thoughts to the siv, after all the move was coming at the wrong time and this being Fig's first harem he worried this huge upheaval would affect his chances of gaining a harem. As every male must be thinking, he pondered looking over at Razzy walking with that Moss ram. fig's nose twitched with curiosity but he managed to focus on walking onwards, quickly relaxing again and thinking how nice the cool breeze was.
China Nose wrinkled in distaste China picked her way across the hard ground, the move was annoying her for the loss of her grooming spot, the new place, she though, had better have sap trees. How else was she too polish her hooves and horns each morning. The thought of being dirty made her shudder as she cast a last glance towards her favorite tree, remembering all the time spent grooming her thick glorious mane there. Following the herd she couldnt help but run a critical eye over the other does, judging them all in silent disdane. Proud of her shiny coat and obvious perfection against her wild brothers and sisters China couldn't help but feel a little smug, after all she was a gorgeous creature. As the herd slowly moved forward she sensed a presence behind her, hoping it wasn't one of the scruffy rams, she wasn't in the mood too flirt, she turned her head slightly too glance behind her. Only Saturn, the little Orange and black doe was quietly padding along unobtrusively a few paces back. China ignored her knowing that if the other female wanted conversation she would initiate it, China wasn't wasting energy talking if it wasn't going to be appreciated. Though Saturn was one of the only does she cared to speak with round the time of the siv, the delicate black doe showed promise, promise that China wanted to nurture.

Claire walked easily between her two new companions, frequently taking in deep breaths as she tried to analyze the various scents around her. They all were going somewhere, apparently. This piqued the golden doe's curiosity greatly, but she was unable to determine much else from the scents that she was taking in. Hopefully we won't be going too far, she mused. It had taken her long enough to learn the current territory, and she still wasn't perfect at navigating it. I think that these two will help me, though. She smiled, pleased at the thought. Unexpectedly, the ram beside her moved closer, and the young doe felt warm, reassuring breath on her neck. She arched her neck slightly at the sensation, 'humming' a happy note that she couldn't hear as she turned her head to rub her cheek against the ram's shoulder. This is nice. Nice, and safe. To keep from stumbling on the unfamiliar territory [and perhaps because she really did like this tall, calm ram] Claire moved over a step, pressing her side to his as she swished her dark tail in time to her steps. Please, please let me stay, she thought, focussing on the soothing heat radiating from his coat and trying not to worry about the fact that the familliar scents of their previous home were being left behind.

Flip.
Keeping a watchful eye on where the herd was going Flip couldn't help wonder what their new home would be like, he wasn't worried though, just mildly curious as to where they were going. A brief glance around reassured him that his friends were all safe and with the herd, the only time he ever worried was when it was for others. Though he was sure they were capable of looking after themselves, he just cared they were safe.
Feeling the touch of the doe's soft cheek against his shoulder Flip smiled down at her.fondly, he felt pretty happy in her company, the peaceful quiet between them seemed easy and though he knew she couldn't hear him Flip still felt connected to her in some way, her happy little hum reassured him that he hadn't over stepped a line which pleased the ram. As he felt Claire press against his side he bent his neck to touch his nose to her mane in a happy reassuring manner, matching each of his steps to her pace to make sure he stayed by her side, after all he planned to stay with her throughout their journey and into their new home, or at least as long as she wanted him around. A part of him already knew that even when they reached their destination he would always look out for her. Turning his head forwards again Flip flicked his tail soflty, feeling it brush Claire's as he did so. Perhaps this journey won't be so bad at all he thought with a gentle smile, gazing at the sky ahead.
