Seeing no response, Emora left to find another goennec to talk to. Sniffing the air, the grey cloud still hung in the air but it got bigger each day. Curious, Emora watched it for a while. It was certainly a strange cloud, it looked more like thick air bu how could it be thick air? Air certainly wasn't thick, or grey. Shrugging it off, Emora looked around to join a "group" discussion or at least someone to talk to. But she didn't want to be rude, suddenly barging in. Emora wasn't one to keep her "social status" in the herd, as rude/bothersome. She preferred to just be nice or sweet, most of all though trustworthy. She holds many secrets, sometimes though they break her inside but she, like everyone else has their own secrets, and cracks.
Sitting down, Emora cleaned herself it was about time anyway. Her fur was ruffled and not that clean. It took a while before it was clean enough to make Emora happy. Laying down, Emora nibbled on grass for a bit to fill her slightly hungry stomach before cloud gazing.

A victorious smile spread across Bear's face. Finally! She understood. His speech impediment made things difficult, but not impossible, so long as he kept himself sharp. And, of course, flowers can always be of help, both for general prettiness and for symbolism. Bear swelled again puffing out his chest and attempting to make himself look large and impressive. He gave one, simple, firm nod. River's hopeful tone was reassuring, but he restrained himself, waiting for her final word before making another move.

Coo smiled as Sandy hopped into the muck next to him. He sidestepped a bit and the mud squelched away from his foot. Suddenly off balance, he toppled over into the stream, a shrill cry of surprise escaping his throat. Moments later, he was sitting up to his chest in the cold water, his mane mussed and flattened onto his neck and his nose full of water. Snorting, he stood, dripping with water. "Would you like some help getting the mud off?" He gestured towards Sandy, as she was now also plastered with the muck. "There's a area a little farther down where we can climb out without getting too dirty."

Razzy Stood with her head down watching the shimmering water swirl round her front hooves Raz barely made a sound, her breathing came easily and in gentle movements, everything calm and quiet, her eyes flicked occasionally from Doe to Moss keeping an eye on their moves as well as the water. Catching Moss's signal Razzy couldn't help a small flirty smile flitting across her muzzle, this was her chance to shine and prove she wasn't just a bubbly doe, but a smart one too, and boy was this the place to do it. Taking a deep breath Razzy focused on the point, where now and again a small silver dart would break the surface, with all she had. Gently and ever so slowly she raised her left hoof from the water knowing she had more power in her right leg.
In a move perfected through years of playing with Fig in rivers and streams playing with fish and crabs Razzy suddenly launched herself with her right leg and hindlegs together, her Jess pointing at the floor she seemed to dive into the shimmering water, her left hoof catching her as she skidded onto her stomach, head momentarily vanishing into the spray around her, like tiny diamonds glinting in the sun. Muzzle open Razzy snapped at the disturbed fish, who as planned had headed away from her outstretched left leg and now swam to her right. Raising her head she grinned happily as she showed off her catch, two small fish Hung from her muzzle, shocked to find themselves caught. Tail wiggling happily she gave a toss of her head and sent the two gleaming fish spinning towards the shore, luckily landing a safe distance from the water edge. Laying in the water with a light chuckle she reached around to pluck a caught fish from under her stomach, getting lightly to her feet and trotting to the bank, chocolate fur dripping as she walked, she dropped her catch with the other two fish and smiled sheepishly 'well, that's three but they are rather small' she muttered eyeing the fish 'that usually works better with bigger ones' sniffing slightly she shook her coat out and looked at the other two 'despite the awful din that makes i'll bet they've only gone slightly upstream' she indicated towards a small gathering of largeish stones at the streams edge suddenly feeling silly for being quite so flashy 'they like to hide there and they're easy to pick off if you surround them right's she looked to Doe, as if to seek her approval on this new plan.
Flip Pleased to see his new friend was happy with the suggestion of berries he happily followed her to where the bushes were, his light easy step carrying him over the grass smoothly with neat little steps, his green eyes flicked from the doe to the bushes as they drew closer. He stopped as she reached the first berries of the bush, letting her pick at the juicy fruits first, standing back with a little flick of his tail. Answering her cheerful smile with an equally happy one of his own he stepped forwards, leaning his nose into the.leaves and plucking a sweet juicy berry from its stem, a look of pleasure crossing his muzzle.'these are truly delicious Penny's he said with a pleased toss of his horns, a hoof stamping the dusty floor in satisfaction. Spotting a rather large particularly lovely looking gem of a berry he raised his muzzle and gently gripped the branch holding the fruit in his teeth. Pulling the branch down he held it towards her with a smile 'for you' he managed in a muffled mumble.
Fig Having watched Razzy head off to hunt with the two goennecs Fig swished his tail in a bored way, wondering who else he could speak to he trotted back through the grass, Jess high as he looked about for someone to speak too. Mane ruffled by the light breeze he sniffed the air, catching the scent of a female he padded in the direction on the clear grass plain, stopping as he recognized a doe laying gazing at the clouds. Quietly walking towards her he cleared his throat hoping be wasn't disturbing her. 'hello there' he smiled swaggering closer, his usual easy grin in place, stopping a little way from her he tipped his head to the side 'my names Fig, I don't think we've spoken before'

[/b]She said happily, continuing to eat more slowly, nose crinkling as she took each bite. It was nice eating berries with someone, instead of eating them alone. And Flip was the perfect Goennec to eat berries with. Not a rambling ewe, or a creepy male. A nice and cheerful Goennec. Pricking her ears at the muffled sound, she looked towards him for a few moments, then looking down at the plump berry. It was huge, and looked very tasty. Reaching forward, she grabbed the berry and bit into it. Indeed, it was delicious, but so big that once she had bitten into it, the berry had bursted with juice and had stained the sides of her mouth. Licking her lips with a small squeak of a laugh, Penny attempted to clear the berry juice before it dried and caused a sticky feeling. "Thank you, it was really yummy." She said, looking up at Flip. Bear nodded his head in response to her question, unmistakeably meaning that she was correct in her deciphering of his strange form of communicating. Wishing to leap up at having already been selected so early in the Siv, in her first Siv, she restrained herself, thinking it ungraceful and unfeminine, the last thing she wished to appear in front of this stag under the circumstances. Taking a deep breath as to control her voice, River Song nodded, attempting to look dignified, but looking positively gleeful. Her tail gave a little flick, her excess joyful energy seeking an output somewhere.
"Yes. Yes, I would love to be in your harem, Bear," she responded, her voice trembling slightly as she tried to keep herself from squeaking her answer. Pride swelled in her chest as she felt as one of the luckiest does in the herd. Quick to be chosen, and by such a fine, strong, and even tempered stag, her mind instinctively calculating just how fine a match he was for her, bearing in mind the quality of the kids they could produce, reaching a more than satisfactory conclusion. Oh, how she would relish in telling Sihir all about this!
Impressed by her caught of three fish in one fluid motion, no matter how small, Moss couldn't help but gape at the doe for a moment, his floppy ears in an obviously alert pose. He knew Razzy had stated she was a good hunter when it came to fish and streams, but seeing it in action had not compared to her earlier comment. If anything, she had been far too modest. As he heard her suggestion, he opened his mouth, read to give his approval of this plan. He stopped, however, as he noticed Razzy staring at Doe, her gaze clearly seeking approval from the much quieter female.
Knowing Doe would probably not understand that this female's intentions, probably no thought of anyone seeking for her approval every crossing her mind, he turned to look at her as well, a smirk on his face as he asked, "What say you, Doe? Does this sound like a good enough plan for you, or do you think another course of action would be best?" He made certain to make his question very clear. Doe would not give her opinion otherwise, and this way she would understand that her opinion was both wanted and appreciated. An eager look lay in his bright, green eyes as he waited for the response, noticing the spotted doe staring from Razzy to himself, as if making certain it was her they were talking to.
Doe could feel blood roaring in her ears as heat spread through her face, feeling awkward at Moss's questions, and suddenly very self conscious of the fact that both of her companions were staring at her. While she was wasn't anywhere near chatty around Blossom, she had always remembered how kind the doe had been when she had been found by her young, Sihir, making her feel at ease around her, enough to talk and even have a semblance of happy, nonsense conversation with her. However, this was not the case with every goennec in the herd. In fact, with the exception of Blossom, Moss was the only goennec she really spoke with. This sudden question, wishing for an opinion, was alien to her, something she didn't understand.
Why would anyone wish to know the thoughts of a doe on any matter, especially one as important as hunting? The eager look on Moss's face made it explicit that she was expected to talk, and for once, she could not simply agree with the stag. He had not mentioned what his thoughts on this plan had been, how would she know if she was answering correctly or not? Looking over at Razzy, she could see a similarly expectant look on her face. Suppressing a sigh, Doe looked over to where Razzy had mentioned, her paws scuttling nervously before she spoke.
"I believe that this is the best course of action. With three of us, surrounding them should be easy enough to gain a meal for the four of us," she responded, her eyes shifting nervously between both goennecs, her muscles somewhat tense, as if she half expected the ram to go off at her and inform her she was out of place in her answering so.

It was true, Threonine reflected, that the herd probably did need to know the whole truth. Maybe a little scare would do them some good, if only to convince them that the wisest course of action was to leave. From what he had observed, some of them appeared agitated enough by the approaching monster that they wouldn't take any convincing at all. Others might be more hesitant. But the thought of retreating north, even for a temporary amount of time, perked his interest immediately. He knew that he shouldn't support the idea simply because of his own interests, but it was hard not to. For a few long moments he was quiet, staring past the Prime in careful thought. Whatever decision Devi made would effect the entire herd, for better or for worse. "I agree." He said, glancing once more towards the billowing clouds in the distance. "If we may be gone for an extended period of time, the river downstream might prove a dangerous trap, particularly for the more active kids. If we head north, search parties could be sent a short way ahead of the main group, to look for water. That seems to be the safest option, at this point." He allowed himself a slight smile, to push away some of the impeding stress, if nothing else. "I believe the herd will agree. Surely they must listen to reason, even if they don't like it."

Fighting back a yawn, the ram, Kaze gave a stretch and blinked open his beautiful, emerald green eyes. The morning was beautiful, apart from the gray cloud in the distance which had appeared to have gotten bigger. But the cloud was not the cause of his excitement. It was the feeling in the air... The siv. The siv was coming. He could feel the warm sunshine dappling his rime grey fur, the excitement in the air, hear the soothing rustle of summer's last leaves as songbirds flitted from branch to branch. It was coming. He got up, stretching, and gave a vigorous shake, his fur fluffing out, and scanned his surroundings. It really was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the air was light, and the meadow was dappled with sunlight.
"Come back!" the young ram cried, pouncing after a plump cricket, striking golden eyes shining and deep ebony, spiky mane bouncing. He was no longer a tiny kid; his fur had grown sleek and creamy white horns (which had greatly unbalanced him at first) curled back over his head. He giggled, then perked his ears at a group of goeys who were perched on the riverbank, and bounded over. "Hi!"

Slightly startled Emora looked up " Oh hello Fig, I'm Emora. Its nice to meet you " She said with a smile. Shaking off some of the grass on her pelt, she stood up. Fig was a handsome ram, Emora smiled she was interested in being part of the Siv. Wind ruffled her fur but Emora didnt care. " So what's up? " She said, giving her shoulder a quick lick. Ladybug yawned, walking towards the river she saw a group of goennec's. Not wanting to interfere she turned around in search of someone else. Ladybug was very interested in the Siv but she wasnt confident on finding a harem. Sighing she looked around, no one though was in her gaze. Annoyed, she trotted off into the forest hoping she'd run into another ram. Seeing nothing, she sat down and gave herself a cleaning. She needed to look good infront of all the rams so they would pick her. Suddenly Ladybug was suprised with herself What has gotten into me! She thought, she didnt want to meet strangers but she wanted to be apart of the Siv. Quickly, Ladybug trotted back into the clearing, sitting down she waited until someone popped up somewhere.

"Fair lady, for whom do you wait? The day is too fresh to be spent without company." With his usual confident gait, Feliciano came walking towards Ladybug, a pleasant smile stretched across his face. He would never have admitted it, but he had been watching her for a little while now. It was hard not to, she just seemed so... Interesting. But guilt had finally gotten to him, and he knew that he could not just stare at her from afar. That was not the polite way. So, he gathered whatever confidence he could muster, in hopes of seeming even mildly impressive. It was harder than it looked, even with his chest puffed up and his feet moving just as he wanted them, he couldn't help feeling a little... Awkward. Especially if she really was waiting for someone. He glanced around quickly, to make sure that there weren't any other possessive looking rams nearby that he might have missed. Not that he couldn't handle a fight, but it had to be a proper one. In other words, started by someone else. But, to his relief, she really did seem to be just... There. Once he was near enough, Feliciano paused, and tilted his head in greeting, and the yellow ribbon around his neck dipped too, swaying gently in the breeze.
Opening her mouth in a wide yawn, Subira rolled over in the grass. It wasn't something she had done much in the past year, what with little Honda keeping her busy. But already he had grown so much, and now preferred the company of his older, adopted sibling to her own. She couldn't decide if that made her sad or not. She felt refreshed, and was glad to be getting so much rest, but at what cost? Now, sitting there in the grass, the blue eyed doe couldn't help feeling a small sense of loneliness.
She stood up, shaking little scraps of earth from her fur, and prepared to go seek the company of some other does. They were always good to chat with, seeming to have a never ending stream of information about what was going on within the herd. Just what she needed to stop thinking about Honda for a little while. But instead of other does, she spotted Kaze nearby. He seemed to be enjoying the weather too, taking advantage of it as well as she. Best to enjoy it now, while it lasted. "Hello Kaze." She said quietly, as if speaking too loud might ruin the peace.

Ladybug looked over, blushing slightly. " I'm afraid I have no one to wait for! Just anyone, I suppose " She replied, standing up. He was a handsome ram, Ladybug thought to herself. " I'm afraid I havent gotten your name, sir. I'm Ladybug, but you can call me Lady if you'd like too " She said, with a smile. I've seen him around before... he seems very nice. She thought, looking at him. Lady waggled her small tail slightly before realizing that may cause problems. She thought that it would lower her chances for the Siv, that thought made her nervous. Delighted with her confirmation, Bear smiled wide. His normally soft, fairly subtly expression, turned to one of pure glee. He'd managed to snag a young, fit, pretty doe so early in the season and she seemed more than willing to stay with him. Not only did this boost his morale for the day, but he decided this positive start would be his motivation for going all out this year. He would gather as many of the best potential mothers as he could and dote on them as best he could. His bloodline would be spread far and wide among the best does the herd had to offer this year, he'd make sure of it.
Reaching up to her right ear, he nestled the two buds in the crook between her ear and horn. The soft pink and white of them looking lovely with her coat. He then gestured for her to follow him over to the outskirts of the herd. For her first meal as a member of his harem, he would catch her something tasty.
Sandy stumbled slightly as Coo went down into the muck and water again. "Whoops!" she yelped, half in surprise, half as something of a sorry. "I guess I did more harm than good." She said sheepishly, pinning ear ears back in guilt and offering an apologetic smile. "That sounds like a good idea." She wasn't very good at locating anything but mud, so a good spot to clean off would be very nice. "Lead the way!" She exclaimed as she unstuck a hoof from the clinging mud, though the cool, soft muck felt good between her toes and in her hooves.
"I hope you're right." Devi sighed. It would be a disaster if he failed to convince the herd to move as a whole. "And north it is then. I can't see being able to return until next spring, when the grasses begin to grow again. We'll have had little ones in tow for some time before then." Taking a quick note of the rest of the herd, not too far off, he could see that a couple males seemed to already be making their early moves. He turned back towards his hill. It seemed the time had come for him to address the herd. He wasn't going to be able to put it off any more. The sun was on it's descent, just starting to tint the clouds with gold and pink against the blue of the sky that had yet to be obscured by the smoke. The beauty of it marred by the thought of the mood that would be spreading through the herd soon. He sighed again, a tired, but determined sort of sigh, and began to trek back to where he'd been pacing not too long before. "Come stand by me, Threonine." He found his spot, right up on the crest of the hill, where he could see to just about every corner of the valley, and stood, just taking in the last few peaceful moments the herd would have, before he would have to ruin their hopes of a normal siv.

Feeling the softly colored blossoms being placed gently between her ear and horn, River Song grinned sheepishly, suddenly very understanding of why does such as Dew seemed to love this time of the year so much. Not a second had passed since she had agreed to be in Bear's harem, and she was already being treated in a way that made her feel fit for a Prime even. Her heart soaring, she noticed Bear signaling for her to follow. Quirking her head carefully as to not let the blossom fall, she gave the stag a curious look, knowing most of the herd had been preferring to stay as close together as possible ever since the ominous cloud made its presence clearer over the forest's treetops. Not being in the mood to ask, however, and being so blissfully overjoyed that she really didn't care, she simply followed the gentle, quiet ram.
Back in her earlier spot, looking up at Devi's hill, Blossom's ears perked up as she saw movement at the top of the hill. Standing up, she quickly saw Devi had gone back to his former position, and the sight of him made her heart plummet. Instead of looking refreshed and fed like she had hoped he would be, he looked even more devastated than before, as if the weight of the world lay on his shoulders. Her ears flattening, she made to go up to him, but quickly stopped herself, knowing it would be out of place to simply go up to the Prime and beg of him to get some rest. That aside, the way he was looking out at the herd suggested that he had news, and from his posture, these would not bode well with his followers.

Threonine stood still, watching Devarsi move towards the hill without following. He assumed, at first, that the Prime was going to wait a little while before making any announcements. Initially, that would have been what he expected. But the situation seemed to demand more, he realized once he was called forward. "Yes sir." Quickly, he followed, feeling the slight indentations in the side of the hill from the feet of many goennecs past and present. How long had this hill been here? He couldn't help but wonder what kind of history it might have to tell, of glorious battles won and many seasons of herd life observed peacefully. It made him a bit sad, to think that something so distant and strange might have the power to destroy it. This place belonged to the herd. But they were what made it home. Even without the land, they could still thrive and move forward. The herd was important, more important than anything else. So he went and stood by the Prime's side, waiting calmly for whatever was to come.
"Ah!" Feliciano beamed, clearly delighted. For once his timing was not too poor. He remembered being told numerous times about what awful luck his father had with does. Or rather, he had observed it with some amount of dread. The concern that he would inherit the same luck had nearly kept him back, but now he was glad to at least get the chance to talk to Ladybug. "A fair name for a fair Lady. I am Feliciano, but most call me Felix... It's easier, I suppose." He shifted his feet and blinked once or twice before noticing something that caught his interest. He couldn't believe he hadn't seen it before. "Lady, I don't mean to pry, but you seem to have something on your tail. I mean, a bow, you have a bow on your tail."

Kaze perked an ear and tilted his head as a quiet, gentle voice broke the silence. "Good morning, Subira," he greeted warmly. "How are you?" The end of his question was cut off by a yawn. He shuffled his front hooves, one ear flattened slightly, somewhat embarrassed, then grinned. "It's beautiful this morning," he began, "I love autumn." He finished, rather lamely, but completely truthful. Fall was beautiful; the air crisp, the leaves an almost rainbow hue, from deep crimson to light auburn.

My mother gave it to me, but I'm not sure where it came from. " Lady replied wiggling her tail. At least I can be appealing with y bow, she thought, delighted. " Yes, it matches my horns perfectly! " She said happily. Felix was a handsome ram, one any doe would be lucky to have. Would that be me? She thought, curious to know if it was true. Waiting until the Prince took his place, Devi prepared himself. He would have to control his voice, force it to stay steady and not betray his uneasy mind. Taking a couple deep breaths, knowing he must first call to gather the herd so as to speak to them properly and he must be heard even across to the, mostly empty, far fields. "Brothers and sisters." He bellowed, his voice, though so unused as of late, was impressively large and carried as well as he'd hoped. "I have news! Come and gather." He took another deep breath, though his shouting was over. This one was to calm him, as he waited for the herd to assemble.
Bear stopped dead as he heard the Prime's shout. It was still a little too early for the siv announcement. Maybe the season had come early this year? Or maybe he had something to say about the strange clouds drifting ever closer. He shot River Song a worried look, his brow furrowed in confusion and the corners of his mouth turned down in a displeased frown. In any case, her meal would have to wait. Instead, he turned back and began to lead the way back to the Prime's hill. He'd make up for the spoiled plans later. If Devarsi had something to say, Bear was not one to ignore it.

Razzy. Noticing how clearly uncomfortable she had made Doe, Raz very nearly felt guilty, a twinge of the feeling did curl in her stomach, but at the other females words Razzy couldn't help but be pleased, however she knew that pushing her any further would be a mistake so she simply nodded a response with a soft smile before turning away to grin happily. Suddenly she realized she should have asked Moss's opinion and glanced his way to make sure he didn't seem angry with her. Rather than anger on his handsome face however there seemed to be some kind amusement, almost a smirk. Padding towards the indicated spot Razzy twitched her small tail pleased with how the hunting was going, she was feeling ever more relaxed in Moss's company, though Doe was still a mystery to her. 'I spent a lot of time playing in the river when I was a kid' she explained looking back at the fish 'you should watch me hunt on land, I'm all paws and tail' she giggled companionably, her easy stride taking her quickly to the gathering of boulders where she peered down into the glistening silver water, between the grey shaded stones swam little silver fish. Raising her head with a triumphant grin Razzy jumped startled when the call rang out.
Her ears flicking backwards to catch the sound better she flicked her gaze between Moss and Doe, skipping lightly back over to them, fishing forgotten for now. 'Sounds like we better go' she muttered somewhat nervously with a glance in Moss's direction, watching for his reaction. Unable to help herself she took an almost unconscious step closer to him, following his lead now.
Flip. Smiling softly at his companion he chuckled a little as the juice of his offered berry stained the fur around her muzzle and she let out the sweetest giggle. Ducking his head he quickly munched down on another sweet plump looking offering. 'Your very welcome' he told her with a warm smile, flicking a ear 'I am glad it was as sweet as it looked' The shout of his prime drew his attention away from the face of his companion, glancing in the direction of The Prime's Hill he flicked his tail slightly, curious as to what they were being called together for and eager to find out. In typical Flip style however he was not one to rush. Turning to Penny with an easy smile he stamped a hoof on the hard ground 'Sounds like we are needed, shall we walk together?' he asked turning towards the hill but keeping his eyes on her, giving her the option but thinking that having company would definitely be nice.
Fig Puffing out his chest and bringing out his most charming smile Fig bowed his head slightly to the rather pretty female sat before him. 'Very nice to meet you too' he said softly not wanting to come off as too bolshy 'You looked lonely sat all by yourself, I thought I might come and keep you company' he grinned 'unless of course your busy?' cursing himself internally at this stupid comment he quickly looked away for something to do, finding nothing interesting he shook out his mane and said 'its windy today'...wow that sounded lame even to him.
Glancing back at the doe as the Primes call rang out over the valley Fig raised his head high, his ears alert he twitched his muzzle in something like an annoyed frown , just as he was starting to get talking. A grin split his face again as an idea occurred to him. Tilting his head sideways and giving Emora a friendly smile he indicated the direction of the Prime's Hill with a front hoof 'How would you like to accompany me to the Prime Hill? Much more fun than going alone' he teased in a playful voice hoping she wouldn't think he was being a moron.
Saturn Saturn lifted her head from the grass she had been nibbling on as she heard her Prime's voice ring out, her nervous disposition alerted she twitched slightly, her short tail waving in a nervous display of energy. Lifting her head higher she quickly made her way through the sparse grass of where she had been grazing, trotting lightly but holding herself back from breaking into a real run, if she did that it was likely she'd bolt and have a full blown panic. This herd...she didn't know anyone well enough to turn to them, her own fault for being so quiet all the time. Mentally cursing herself for not trying to make new friends she headed alone towards the gathering herd, there were many reasons she should have been more friendly, foremost on her mind was the upcoming Siv, who wanted a silent doe in his harem after all? Vowing to be more talkative she crossed the grass with her small tail still twitching with a mix of nerves and an odd excitement, much to do with her new resolve rather than anything else. After all she was sure the Prime had everything under control she thought with a glance at the dark sky.

Rafiki "She is beautiful, and it is wonderful to meet you too" he said honestly before nodding his head to the other female. He was contemplating what to say when he heard the Prime call to the group. He ruffled his fur nervously before turning his head to the two females and the young kid. "Would you lovely ladies care to join me gathering on the hill?" he asked polity with a small, but sincere smile. His ears twitched nervously, he hoped the ladies would join him but knowing his luck he wouldn't bet on it.

Ears perked up, River Song turned to face the Prime's hill, seeing Devarsi settled on top, Threonine close to him. She turned towards Bear, as if to ask him if he knew what was going on, and saw the stag, whose smile had been evident mere moments ago, sport a concerned frown on his handsome features. As he turned around, she followed him, curious at these summons. Too young still to understand what was going on, the only moment she remembered having seen the Prime on top of the hill, calling forth the herd, was a mere year ago, and from what she could remember, it had been met with happy stags and eager does marking the beginning of the Siv. What was so different this time? Why were the goennecs looking so stern, so tense at Devarsi's summons?
The flirting, boyish look that had been spread on Moss's face and posture had now been exchanged for a serious, older look, one that did not usually cross his young features. Devarsi and Threonine both at the hill, and the less than pleased postures both carried gave Moss an uneasy feeling. Cocking his head forward, signaling to his companion to follow him, he headed up towards the hill, his floppy ears tensed back. A good part of his mind was cursing the thought of having lost the opportunity to show off to Razzy himself, show himself a good candidate for the Siv, and hopefully a desirable mate, making her accept his offer to be in his own harem. Throwing an apologetic look at Razzy as they padded towards the hill, the talkative male was for once lacking in words, hoping that this was nothing more than good news for the herd and the coming Siv.
