Emora smiled " Yes I was looking forward to come company " She replied flicking her ear. " And no, I'm not busy at all actually. I normally don't have much too do " She replied sighing. Wow, that made me seem so undesirable Emora thought. " Yes, but its more of a nice breeze " Emora said, the wind ruffling her fur. Hearing the Prime's call, Emora was interested. Whats going on? She thought.
" Of course I'll go you with you. Cant miss out on a good conversation right? " She replied, and smirked. " I bet you can't catch me! " She said, almost snobbish. Wiggling her rump, Emora ran off in the direction of Prime's Hill. Looking back at Fig on the way. I hope i didn't come off rude, she thought. Maybe he wanted her to walk with him so they could talk. Thinking about this, Emora grew nervous and slowed down. Waiting for him to catch up, her mind raced about what she should say to him.

"Nonsense. The water will help wash off the muck. You did much more harm than good." Coo was pleased to notice that his nervous stutter had finally gone away, now that he was more comfortable with the doe's company. He stepped forward carefully on the rocky creek bed, careful to keep his footing this time. "A few feet out it drops down until it's deep enough to swim. Perhaps rolling around on the sandy creek bottom will loosen the mud from our fur." Realizing how ridiculous that suggestion sounded, he quickly started to restate his meaning. "I mean, the sand would displace the mud, but we don't have to roll in it, certainly. I'm sure there's another way..." He took another step closer, attempting to guide the doe through the rocky area of the creek bed.

Razzy. Moss's silent serious face gave Razzy much to think on as they walked to the Primes Hill, her head lower than usual she followed as close to the ram as she felt was polite. His presence making her feel less nervous, she hoped whatever they were being called for was good news. A glance at the sky made her twitch her tail, her bet was on the meeting being something to do with the darkness growing ever closer. Thinking about it she wondered if that's where other herd members thoughts had gone too as well, deciding to keep the thought to herself she simply followed Moss along the grass.
Flip Starting after Penny Flip broke into a light trot in order to catch up with the doe, mane rustling in the light breeze. Catching up with his new friend he slowed back to a walk and fell into step next to her, relaxed and easy but curious as to what his Prime would want with them. Noticing Penny's glance at the sky Flip followed her gaze 'I wonder if this has anything to do with that?' His voice was curious and quiet ' I do wonder what it is' he thought aloud as the walked up the hill together. 'maybe we shall find out now's he turned to smile softly at Penny seeking her thoughts.
Fig 'well I am glad I'm not interupting you' said with a grin, his thick tail flicking from side to side 'i quite enjoy the breeze' he replied enjoying the easy conversation, this doe had him curious, so friendly she was. Not at all like some of the does around who only cared about appearance. Though she waa mighty pretty he noted glancing at her casually. 'well that's great' he said pleased she would stay with him as they went, he giggled as she issued her challange, watching her wiggle her rump he smirked slightly, oh Chase, yes this was a good game. He watched as she bounded away, his back paws dancing on the spot as he prepared to chase after her. As she slowed he snickered playfully and leapt towards her, running across the grass and round her in a circle, tossing his thick mane with glee as he nosed hee shoulder 'caught you'd he grinned skidding to a stop in front of her a smile stretching his muzzle. 'may as well have a little fun while we walk huh?' He grinned with a wink noticing she suddenly seemed nervous and hoping he could put her at ease again 'i do love to run, how about you?'

Threonine stood fairly still next to Devi, his ears flicking as the Prime called out to the herd. However he felt, Devarsi sounded confident, which was likely the thing the herd needed most. He watched as they began to assemble, in ones and twos and even little clusters. Some of the rams seemed to have gotten an early start this year. His nose twitched in half-amusement. It could just be that they were trying to get ahead of the competition, but he couldn't help wondering if the smoke was having such a profound effect on the herd. Perhaps it had the power to dictate their behavior. Why not? It was a strange and horrible thing, even he felt vaguely ill just thinking about it.
"I am feeling quite well today. I can't remember the last time I've gotten so much rest. I see you've been getting some rest too." Subira replied, smiling a bit shyly. She could easily see how Kaze would be popular with the does. Even in the morning, still not fully awake, he had a sort of charisma that spread like wildfire. "It is nice, such a peaceful season," She agreed. "I only wish that it might remain unmarred by that awful cloud."
She flicked her ears, turning to itch at a spot on her shoulder where a little twig had gotten stuck in her fur. She worried a bit that she was talking too much. Kaze wasn't a doe, Subira didn't want to annoy him but chattering on and on. But then, before she could try to apologize, she heard the Prime call out, and turned quickly towards the sound. Hopefully it was good news, but she shifted anxiously, waiting to see if Kaze was going to hear what Devarsi had to say.
Felix smiled at Ladybug in cheerful amusement. "It is a beautiful bow, such a perfect color! Your mother surely had good taste. I do believe I once heard a tale-" He started, thinking about how Subira had once told him about bows and ribbons. He had received one at a young age, and had been so excited to show it to his mother. That was before he had realized that she would never be able to see it. Sometimes he still had a difficult time understanding that Syri was blind.
He had nearly forgotten the whole experience, until now. Ladybug was such a lovely doe. He had not yet begun to gather a harem, but already he hoped that she would agree to join. Unfortunately, before he had a chance to ask, a call sounded through the air. He blinked, turning towards the Prime's summons and then back to Ladybug. "I wonder what that could be about." He turned slightly, as if to head towards the hill where the Prime stood, before pausing. "Lady, might I ask for your company?"

Emora smiled, laughing " Of course, I love to run as well. " She replied, her voice hinted a challenge again as she strode past him. The black cloud seemed to be getting larger, Emora found herself staring at it for a few seconds. " This meeting can't mean good news " She said, her chest filled with worry. Ignoring it, she bounded off, doing a quick circle and winking at Fig as she passed him. Flicking her tail, she sat down looking up at her leader with wide eyes. What will he say? She thought, flicking her ear.
Lady smiled, she liked Felix. He treated her with respect, not to mention how handsome he was. She also realized he had a bow around his neck. " I like your bow Felix, it complements your coat " Lady said with a smile. Hearing his question, she didn't have to think twice. It slid of her tongue, surprising herself at a quick response. " of course! I'd love to accompany you " She said smiling. Lady begun walking towards the hill, this meeting sounded urgent and that worried Lady. Greatly. Oh I hope it doesn't affect the Siv she thought, looking back at Felix. Does he like me back? She thought.(character fail sorry ;-

"Why, thank you fair Lady. It's practical, and I believe it does indifferent well in keeping frost at bay." He teased lightly, starting forward in a sort of walking trot. Felix was always full of energy, and when he was particularly happy he nearly felt as though all of it might cause him to burst. Even the possibility that the Prime might have bad news to give them did not dampen his spirits too much. Even though it perhaps should have. If only a little.
Just before they reached the hill he slowed down a little, glancing at Ladybug. He could see up there that neither the Prime or Prince looked particularly happy. Whatever Devarsi had to say was surely not good news after all. It gave him concern that they might somehow be in danger, of an unusual source. His first thought was one of protectiveness, and his smile became a little more shy. "I am grateful for your company," He said. "It is, of course, your choice; but I wish to ask if you might be like to stay by me a season longer." It was, to Feliciano, the easiest way to ask Ladybug to join his harem. The Siv may not have officially started, but he was well aware of the other males who had begun seeking does. He hadn't really intended to start early himself, but with the thought of impeding danger, he wanted to know if she would accept his offer of protection.

Flip.
Watching the doe pad away from him Flip vaguely wondered at why the herd was being called together. With a swish off his thick fluffy tail he followed Penny up the hillside, smiling as he walked onwards. The breeze lifted his heavy.mane seeming to play with strands of it. Standing beside Penny Flip flicked an was, glancing round the gathered crowd for other goennec's he knew, all united as one for the moment. Glancing sideways he noticed Saturn stood alone and tipped his head, indicating for her to join him. The doe moved closer clearly pleased to be near someone familiar but shy enough to keep her distance.
Fig. The ram laughed at his companion, her playful exuberance making him bounce happily beside her, mane tossed in the wind as he shook his head about. At her words he smirked somewhat, chasing after her as she bounded away across the grass, kicking up his heels as he went. Catching up to her he slowest his pace and looked ahead to the gathered crowd, curious more than anything to see what was wanted of them. 'I'm sure whatever it is we'll be fine' he replied in a side voice, standing close to the does side to wait.

Emora laughed, slowing down to find a spot Emora sat down. "Hopefully" She replied, flicking her ear. She looked up at the Prime, her eyes filled with curiosity. Something told Emora, by their looks on their face meant nothing good.
Lady smiled " Yes Felix, I will stay another season with you " She said, clearly happy. I can't believe I've already gotten a harem. She thought, it wasn't even the Siv yet but I know that I'm a lucky doe. Walking up the finally few steps to where the prime was, Lady sat down. Wind ruffled her fur, quickly Lady cleaned herself as others were still arriving. The Prime and Prince's unhappiess stirred inside of Lady. She was nervous, for the news was obviously bad, but how bad was it?

Kaze gazed at her warmly, and nodded, smiling, slightly embarassed. He perked his ears as she spoke, vibrant emerald eyes warm. "I-" he opened his mouth to speak, then stopped and cocked his head as Devarsi called out for the herd to gather around him. He blinked at Subira, then shyly took a step forward, dipping his horns, inviting her to join him, and gazed up at his Prime, eyes clouded with worry and questions. It couldn't have anything to do with the cloud...could it? He shook his head to clear his thoughts, then shifted his hooves, waiting for the rest of the Prime's announcement.

Coo's ears pricked at the Prime's words. He knew well enough to listen when the Prime spoke. Watching the others gather, he turned back to Sandy. "Shall we climb out this way?" He motioned toward a gradual bank, and began to head towards it to make his exit. His paws found footing in the slippery mud and his hooves propelled a short bound up the bank onto the short-cropped grass that grew beside the stream. This grass was always the most tender and sweet, it was no wonder it had been grazed so heavily. As he stared at the crowd, a nervous twitch appeared in his gut. Crowds. He didn't like being a part of a compact group. He slowly moved forward, standing on the far edge of the group.
Ahka raised his head, surprised by the sudden announcement. Nudging Kin, the two trotted towards the gathering crowd, weaving between the others to stand among the growing crowd.

Glancing back quickly, Bear was glad to see River Song following him. He knew she was new to being in a harem and wasn't sure if she quite used to the idea of following a male yet. He made sure to keep an eye on her as they walked, not wanting to accidentally leave her behind. He stopped at the edge of the gathering crowd around the hill, making sure to make some space for his new companion, and huffed firmly as if to say 'I'm here, give it to me straight.'
The call to gather wasn't really what bothered Sandy, it was the reactions of the others she saw gathering as she looked around. Quite a few looked confused or worried. Personally, she felt it must have something to do with the dark cloud, which she had been trying to ignore seeing as Devarsi hadn't expressed any worry. Her old Prime had also made an unexpected announcement when he'd felt the danger. Soon after, they where fleeing their home, followed closely by the hoard of wolves that had been stalking them. Without a word, she nodded to him and followed Coo up the bank and to the edge of the crowd.
'Please be good news.' she thought, desperately. She was so happy here, she didn't want to end up back in the hands of rescue workers, only to be released by another new herd. The only thing that kept her from panicking was the shear size of this herd. Her old one had been tiny, barely fifteen goennecs. This one wouldn't be so fragile.
Taking in the scene as the herd gathered, Devi did his best to look serious, without betraying any distress. Some looked worried, others confused, and others seemed unfazed by his calling them to meeting. Once everyone seemed to be present, or at least close enough to hear him without forcing him to shout, he stepped forward.
"Brothers and Sisters!" He said again, addressing them fondly. "I'm sure you've all noticed the sky in these recent days. I have been watching the darkness expand and grow closer." Once started, he paused long enough between his sentences to allow them to sink in, but not so long that he would lose his momentum. "At first, I had hoped it would vanish quickly, but as is apparent, it did not. Now, I must tell you all that it is no ordinary cloud. There is something in the forest, fire, burning through the trees, destroying everything it touches and releasing toxic smoke into the air." At this point, he did pause, letting it fully sink in. He was relieved to feel that he wasn't wavering. His voice retained it's strength, for now. He would have to announce the move as soon as possible, before he faltered. "However! I do not plan to let it catch us. If we stay here, the smoke will choke us and burn itself into our lungs, the fire will burn our flesh and destroy our food. Instead, we will move. Threonine and I will lead you all to safety, through the northern mountains. We will find a temporary home there while the fire rages here, and wait it out. We will be safe beyond the peaks." He paused once more, pleased with how reassuring he thought he sounded. Hopefully, the herd would put their faith in him without too much chaos. "To be sure we are safe, we must leave immediately. Find your friends or family and come follow us. We will wait at the northern border of the valley, but we cannot afford to wait long. Be quick, be calm, and no harm will come to us." As soon as he finished his speech, he immediately began to head for the northern border. Now that he had delivered the news, he was afraid to see how it was being received. He focused his gaze on the treeline, attempting to block out the herd as he made his way through them.

"Well... looks like we are going to be right up your alley, huh, Blossom?"
As the loud, familiar voice boomed behind the delicate looking doe, her kids pressed firmly against her in fear at the Prime's words, she turned around, seeing Sam giving her a bitter grin, almost as though if he were trying to find a positive outlook on the situation. Her ears flattened, confusion clear on her face as she stared at the stag's brown eyes.
"My alley?" she asked, unsure of what Sam meant.
Sam gave her an equally confused look, uncertain as to what exactly it was she had not understood. When he had first met Blossom, a mere two years ago, the young kid had just been separated from her herd, a nomad herd, by an earthquake that had scattered both her herd and his in fear. Devarsi's herd had been safe, coming back to together after just a few days. Blossom's herd, however, had suffered a much unkinder fate. What this fate had been he had never said, wishing to shield the young kid from the pain of losing her herd in such a cruel way, but the fact remained that traveling was what her herd was best at.
"You know... your past herd, Blossom? You were nomads, weren't cha? It's in your genes. Why, I recon Sihir and Ander will be right as rain in this journey if they are anything like you. So no need to look so frightened, ya hear? You and yer kids will be fine. Devarsi'll see to tha'," he stated in a reassuring voice, his brown eyes gleaming gently down at the doe he had gained so much affection for as a friend.
Suppressing a look of horror, Blossom merely nodded and smiled, her ears flattened in discomfort. Yet who could blame her, with the news they had just received? Giving her one final, gentle touch with his muzzle against her forehead, Sam headed out, eager to help in any way he could. As he left, Blossom could feel herself growing weak on her knees. How could she not feel worried when, despite Sam's beliefs, her kids had inherited not genes from a nomad, but genes from a common house pet?

Tai shivered, the primes announcement had shaken her and she knew thing would probally not be the same. She also knew though that she couldn't panic, because if she did she wouldn't be able to keep her yearling safe. She quietly calmed herself looking at fawn then over to sunrise. She had family to protect she couldn't panic. Putting on a brave face she turned back to Rafiki to tell him she had to gather her family.

Rafiki Rafiki listened to the announcement with baited breath, his fur tingled lightly and he shook his head. With a sigh he listened to the female. The young male nodded politely shuddering slightly at the announcement. "I must go and gather my Sparrow, she seems to have wandered. Will you journey with me once you have collected your family?" he said in his soft, calm melodic voice as he raised his head high. His nostrils flared slightly and his eyes wandered searching the plains for his friends unique fur. His eyes flickered as he spotted her and a small smile lit up his face at the sight.

Kin shot a look at Ahka. This was horrible for him. He had just begun to get settled into this herd, into this place. Moving would uproot him completely. She knew he wouldn't want to go. But if what the prime was saying was true, he would be dead if he stayed. Please let him go. Please.
She wandered closer to him and let her flank touch his in comfort, letting him know she was there.
He was only vaguely aware of a brushing against his side, the soft touch that followed. His ears were still ringing with the words of the prime. 'Instead, we will move.' Shock. Pure shock. He had finally acclimated to this herd. Spent his entire childhood roaming, running. Now he would return to running. But then again, now he had Kin by his side. Letting him lean on her; both figuratively and literally, it would seem, looking at his side. He wasn't about to let her go. "Kin?" His voice wavered a bit, and he paused for a moment before continuing. "Kin, would you join my harem? I'd like you with me."
Pawing at the ground, Coo gave a small sigh. Traveling. He would never observe those tadpoles now, it seemed. He looked wonderingly at Sandy, trying to tell from her expression, whether this was good or bad to her. Sighing once more for good measure, he set off towards the valley with one more look over his shoulder.
Stepping forward, he ran right into someone.
Sayle gasped a bit as the bright green male ran into her, causing her to stumble a bit. Thankfully, she managed to catch herself and regain her balance before she fell embarrassingly in front of all of these herd members. "Excuse me." Funny. She had meant for it to sound annoyed and blunt, but instead her voice managed to make it sound delicate and apologetic. That was irritating.
Kin gasped. Of course the idea that Ahka would ask her had gone through her mind, but she had just accepted that she would be in his harem as a mutual fact. She didn't actually expect him to ask. "Of -of course. I'd love that." She stepped forward and nuzzled her head underneath his chin, humming a bit. It made her feel as if she could be more open with her affection.
"We should probably start heading to the northern border. Unless there's anything you need to do first."
Coo was mortified. Not only had he completely run into a young doe, but now she was apologizing to him. "O-oh no no, that was entirely my fault. I'm so sorry. Are you o-okay?" He stepped back a bit to give her her space, as he did so he noticed her eyes. They were a light gray-blue, the way the sky looks after a storm; only a bit brighter. Remembering his mistake after meeting Sandy, he quickly introduced himself. "I-I'm Coo, by the way."
Anmera stood a little ways off, within listening distance. When the clumsy male had bowled into her sister, she had nearly intervened. However, he seemed to like her. Perhaps her sister would join a harem this year. Anmera smiled. She would enjoy having a kid to watch, it would be a nice change. She watched the male carefully. He didn't seem like the kind to be hurtful to her kid sister. Instead, he looked quiet and shy. Like a male version of Sayle... So, instead of going to walk to the north border with Sayle, she walked alone, giving the other doe some alone time with the male.

Kaze perked his ears and gazed up at the Prime as he began to speak, and for a moment glanced at the dark, menacing cloud that hung over the mountaintops, then back at Devarsi, his heart pounding. He gasped at the Prime’s announcement, then solemnly nodded, ebony horns glinting in the sun. Leave. They had to leave their home. He scanned the valley for T, the young one he thought of as a brother, then turned to Subira, vibrant emerald eyes gazing into her deep blue, then took a deep breath and shuffled his hooves. “Subira?” he began, somewhat rushed, Devarsi’s words echoing through his head. “Would you give me the honor of joining my harem?” He gave a semi apologetic, but good natured grin, knowing it was a ridiculous time to ask. The Siv was almost the last thing on the rime grey ram’s mind, but he felt as if he had to ask before they left.

"What a mess we're in. Get up old man." Dee had listened as well with the rest of the herd, and while the word of the Prime concerned her as much as anyone, she felt confident in her ability to handle a move. After all, she was strong and had excellent genes, just the things needed to live infinitely and endure whatever came along with it.
Her father, however, was a different story. Guru was terribly unhappy about the idea of leaving the place where the herd had lived for so long. This was where he had been born, and it was where he had intended to die. Besides that, he was concerned that his ruined joints wouldn't hold up for a whole journey. Seasons ago he had been injured, and while he did fairly well with this stationary life, a nomadic one could inevitably cause probably.
So he made his discomfort well known, but Dee couldn't just leave him behind. Whatever else she thought about his status as 'elder', he was still her family. But he would not budge, and frustration was beginning to get the better of the experienced doe. Her only other sibling, Magnolia, just stood by quietly. Fidgeting uncomfortably at the whole situation. The more quiet doe clearly wasn't enjoying all the fuss, but even she had to stick with someone.
"Guru, get up!" She demanded again, pushing him from behind with her head. "You cannot stay, you will burn alive. Have some respect for your Prime, and some wisdom for your age."
"Please Dee, let me alone. I don't really want to leave, shouldn't you respect your elders?" Guru fidgeted and tried to get away from the insistent words of his oldest daughter. She didn't understand. He wouldn't leave without a fight. Maybe not a huge fight, but if there was any way to stay in these lands, he would take advantage of it.
Now that the Prime had spoken, and what much of the herd had suspected was confirmed, Felix was particularly glad that he had asked Ladybug to join his harem ahead of time. Such a move, especially at this time of year, was no light matter. Although he would have preferred to stay (assuming the smoke cloud wasn't looming around like a giant damp blanket), this new challenge wasn't something he quite dreaded. "My, such timing." He mused, turning to Lady. "I should say, we can tackle this new mountain! It is but a rock in the path..." He had to admit though that he hadn't really traveled much at all in his lifetime. This whole thing was new, and could easily seem terribly frightening if he allowed himself to think about it too much. So Felix didn't think about it too much.
Subira looked up at Kaze, surprise flashing clearly in her eyes. "I... You... Really?" Was all she could manage for a moment. Everything was happening so fast. She had barely been able to comprehend the idea of a move. But at the same time, she recognized that this was an excellent opportunity. Kaze was one of the largest, strongest rams in the herd. "I would be glad to." She said finally, in a small but decisive voice. Her sons would probably be glad not to need to watch over her. She worried a little that they might get into mischief on their own, but then, they were old enough to find their own group and stick with it.
Threonine went his way down the hill once Devarsi had finished speaking. Most of the herd seemed to be taking this news fairly well. Or at least, as well as they could. He knew that they were a hearty bunch, and had been convinced long before that they could survive such a disaster. Well, most of them. Of course there was always a worry for stragglers with such a large herd. It would be difficult to keep an eye on every single member the entire time. But he was determined to do his part in trying. So, instead of following the Prime to the head of the herd, he took up a spot near the back, wading through the others to check for anyone who seemed unwell... Or uninterested in the move.
