Hannie looked down, surprised to find that a Goennec had appeared; she recognized him from the fight. A grin spread across her face, half from the surprise and half from the sheer silliness of it. "Mhm, thats me. And you're Sam, I believe?" she responded. Her eyes caught the bandana around his leg, and curiousity flickered in them; that was a human item, she had once seen her Girl wearing one. She wondered how he had gotten it, and thought of her own Human item currently wrapped at the base of her tail, but she didn't ask and simply returned to grinning down at his face. She shrugged slightly to the last bit of what he said, not having much of an answer. "Ehh. I'm not very social," she said simply.

Sam made a mock look of horror on his face and played dead for a second. After this he rolled and pranced around her before settling to sit next to her, his hind legs spread in an almost puppy like fashion. He gave her a serious glare, or at least as serious a glare as he could muster with the smirk he had on his face and spoke in a deep voice. "Well... we must fix this. A herd is not built on social shyness. Why, I am sure that you have amazing things to say and experience, if you give yourself the time to hang around some of us savage noise makers!" he said, then quickly got up again at his last words and imitated an attacking stance, looking more canine than he had before.
He gave her a toothy grin and shook his mane. "Whatdaya say? We could go a huntin and you could check out the Siv. I am sure we would benefit from your presence. I know I would love to see you around it," he added, shifting his paw a little shyly, not sure whether to ask this female yet or not. Unlike Devi, he lacked some confidence in his stride when it came to does, despite this not being his first harem.

Hannie's head swiveled to follow Sam's path around her. "Well, most goennecs spent most of their lives in a herd," she retorted, her head tilting a little playfully. Her face lit at the offer, and she nodded; Sam's energy and behavior were contagious, and she felt excited. "Sure, that would be great," she grinned, glancing down a little shyly at the last bit as well.

"Oh, it's nothing, really." Kaze replied, feeling his smoky gray fur start to grow hot with embarrasment. "Nothing important." He said, laughing slightly, though the thought was still nagging at his mind. He heard Garnet's whisper, and his ears dropped slightly, annoyed at his nerves. Why had he been able to talk just fine when he wasn't about to ask a female to join his possible harem? Kaze rolled his eyes at himself, exasperated. Come on! he growled to himself, Just ask. If she says no...well, you've made a fool of yourself. He laughed nervously, then continued. "Okay, but don't hate me for asking, okay?" He grinned, his old self returning again; no longer the (if you can believe it) the young ram lost for words, so unlike himself. "Would you," he began, swishing his tail, feeling awkward. This was in fact, the first time he had ever asked a doe to join "his harem"--he didn't like them much, but knew, despite this, that they were neccesary. Someday, he would find a mate. But he honestly, much as he disliked it, thought there wasn't a chance of that happening this year. Besides, that's not what Sivs truly were for. He took a deep breath, and looked Alaska in the eyes, their shining blues meeting with his vivid greens. "Alaska...if I was to start a harem, would you...join?" He flicked his gaze back at the nearby Prince, knowing that, if Alaska would consider, that he would in no doubt lock horns and fight Threonine. Much as Kaze was a friendly, carefree goennec--he would fight, and this he knew. He returned his eyes to Alaska, glancing at the ground. He looked up and grinned. "Please don't hate me if you say no, okay?" He smiled slightly, through both nervousness and slight hope. He didn't want Alaska to resent him for asking--after all, he originally wasn't even looking to start a harem. But, if he did...he would hope that the young doe would consider being part of it. He knew for sure that, even if she did refuse, he'd still want to be her friend, harem or not. And he also knew that, if he did start a harem...he wouldn't treat the does as simple objects, as he knew they were far from it. They were goennecs as well, and friends. This was true.

(but Rainwolf, I thought you were my friend! XD Lol, now you're forcing me to have fun and make my adrenolyn festive bebe dislike Kaze!)
"Why you dirty dove brained -!" Threonine snarled before Alaska had a chance to answer, "You've got some nerve, playing the doe minded sensative guy and then trying to snatch from right under my nose! What are your genes worth anyway, a nice conversation?"
Well, Threonine was not going to wait for Alaska to respond, not after what he'd seen with Sam and Devi. He'd fight with a fury, which was both a gift and a problem. Threonine made up for being a smaller ram in that he was bred and born to do little but fight. But this also meant that he couldn't accept defeat, something potentially dangerous to himself in that he would get up over and over until he dropped of exhaustion or from wounds. All the others like himself had died this way, they were bred and forcefully taught not to fear or accept loss and retreat. They'd died fighting things like bears and other horrible monsters, because they couldn't give up. His willingness to die was, he figured, why he was the Prince.
However, this was not a fight with a predator, this was the Siv. Somewhere deep down he knew that this was all because of the Siv. Plus, he liked Alaska and thought she deserved better. Of course, these were his thoughts alone, and the only other male he thought deserved her, the only male he would not have faught, for some bizarre internal reason, was Aussie (and the entire world ghasps, 'What the heck is she talking about?!' while Toadfoal laughs, quite enjoying herself, and refuses to tell). Well, Kaze wasn't Aussie, and he wasn't planning to give up.
He though he should have challenged Kaze from the beginning, he'd seen that look... But before he was willing to wait and see. He had first thought Kaze might not be so bad, but he'd been playing the females from the beginning in a most un-ramlike way. More like a male who wanted permanent mates than a harem. Threonine didn't wait, and, not caring what any of the others thought, leaped at Kaze, spitting insults and ramming into him full force.

(Ehem what? And i hope thats okay Toady....if its not i shall change my post)
Garnet gasped, her eyes widening with fear. She felt pain, because as the Prince had leapt for Kaze, his horns had hit her, because she had been very close to Kaze at the moment he had asked Alaska to be in his harem. With a pained cry she got up, walking further and further away from the Prince, a look in her eyes that seemed to scream betrayal. She felt as if the Prince had hurt her on purpose though she knew he hadn’t. Her lip trembled and a small tear welled up in her eyes, before she looked away and began padding off. There were two things she knew now; one: not to mess with Threonine, and Two: Not to stand close to males during the Siv. The thought made her chuckle lightly, but still inside she felt worried and upset. She didn’t know whether she feared the male now, or whether she wanted to give him a good ramming that only males were capable of. Suddenly, her eyes slid towards Secretariat, and she began running towards him, a soft wailing noise escaped her mouth, like a screaming youngling again.

(oh yes, you caught me did you? I have a post all typed up, I just wanted to see if you'd notice. XD *cruel*) MilkyWay made the purring noise again. She wanted to say something but all that came out was a big yawn. The Siv had completely exhausted her, she needed to sleep now. Too tired to really think about much of anything, much less rescent happenings, she turned her head and got a brief glimpse of Nixx before going completely out of the world of the waking. (Pandora- in all honesty, I just made it up o-o' and sure, it could happen if a ram is completely blinded by the Siv and can notice nothing but what he's aiming for)

(LIAR! hahahha)
Nixx heard MilkyWay, and shot right up, but once he got his drowzy eyes on her, she was already passed out. He laughed and shook his head with amusement. He rolled over from tummy-up to tummy-down again to be closer to her. He rested his eyes again, but instead of going into his half-awake, half-sleeping faze, he actually fell into a deep, calm slumber. [/color]

Sam gave her a wide grin and then pranced around her, his paws thumping loudly on the ground. "Well then, what are we doing standing around for? Let's go! I know Blossom was hunting for flowering buds, maybe we can find her? She isn't bad for sniffing out rabbits either," he muttered, thinking making his face screw up for a second. His thoughts were interrupted by the angry cry of a male goennec and a female running away, crying. His face screwed up and he snorted, but he knew he was too exhausted from his earlier fight to see what was going on.
He looked at Hannie, his face a little more serious now. "Don' you let any stag push you around. You hear? This may be the Siv, and we have to procreate, but don't feel forced to do nothing," he said, then licked her on the forehead in a friendly and somewhat protective way. "Old Sam won't let that them boss you around," he muttered, looking in the direction of the charging prince, and his amber eyes giving a small frown at the thought of what he could have done to the brown doe.
Ears perked up, Blossom heard the screech of a female and saw Garnet running away. She saw Theorine, the Prince, attacking Kaze, and she wondered what was going on. Did Kaze make a move on Alaska? But why is Garnet running? Her eyes scanned the area and she saw Sam looking over at the fight accompanied by another female, and she shook her head, knowing Sam wanted a harem, but wondering if that was what he was doing with the usually quiet doe.
Deciding to ignore the events, she kept on going towards the secluded stream, not interested in another fight the same day.

(Hur, I've been away talking college to mother. :3 This place moves faster than I thought it would. And Toady- I'm intrigued. xD Threo is afraid of Auss? Lucky he only wants Cass, at least.)
Sec perked up, realizing his chance to prove himself a worthy mate, and trotted out of his hiding and toward Garnet, his stark-white horns- and hooves- ready to defend if needed. The prospect of comforting and perhaps claiming an emotionally distraught female made him change his pace a little bit- no longer could he be the big, bad guy strutting his stuff, he had to make sure that he didn't act repulsive so that the female might agree to bear his child. He decided to be The Defender, and prepared himself to punish the ram that hurt her, Prince or no Prince. He'd fight a bear for her if it meant there was a chance at continuing his line, really, thanks to the pure testosterone coursing through his system.
"What is it, Garnet? What's wrong?" Sharp, war-ready blue eyes contrasted sharply with his welcoming voice. After all, his aggression had to be reserved for another ram.

Hannie hadn't realized she was getting hungry, and rabbit sounded very good. Her head turned in unison with his to see what the noise was, and she looked vaguely surprised; who knew fights happened so often during the Siv? She turned her attention back to Sam as she felt him lick her head. "I feel safer already," she giggled, smiling up at him. She stood up, ready to go wherever they were heading first.

Well. The Prince ignored her.
Not only that, but now he seemed to be busy attacking another male. Bristling a bit at being ignored, Alithea took a few steps back nonetheless, avoiding their large horns. Getting caught up in a fight was... not very fun. That last fight between Devi and Sam seemed intense; would this be the same? Dark green eyes glared for a bit before softening. Well, at least she wasn't reprimanded for bumping into the almighty Prince. Now that would be the most horrible fate to befall upon any doe in the herd, because he was the strongest and everyone wanted to be in his harem!
Note the sarcasm.
... or maybe not. Now that Devi was defeated, either Threonine or Sam was the strongest now, and, well, she couldn't stop that instinctive feel of want, of jealousy. He was fighting over Alaska, not her, which made her really jealous. Really jealous indeed. Not like she'll admit it to anyone, of course, but Alithea was actually jealous and wished it was her they were fighting over.
She hated herself for that.
A light growl emerged from her throat before she forced herself to sit down, her tail curling around her frame in irritation.
Still, this fight could be fun...

Garnet looked up, a frightened squeal escaping her mouth as Sec appeared. Her big brown eyes widened, then she relaxed, realizing who it was. ” Oh, no, the prince’s horns just hit me. It wasn’t on purpose, I don’t mind, just sort of shocked me a bit. A broken nail wont kill me,” She replied, managing a smile. ”My question is whether you are okay. You seem a bit…battle ready. You aren’t going to challenge anyone for a doe, are you?” She asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. Her russet coloured fur bounced around her as she let out a nervous giggle, and she shuffled her paws.

Kila shrank back as Kaze asked Alaska to join his harem. She was jealous of this doe; finally figuring what the feeling was, that kept returning- the reason she was so talkative. She wanted to join a harem, but Kaze hadn't asked her. "At least now I will be able to watch a fight," Kila grumbled to herself, already perking up at the excitement of a fight. Feeling a grumble of hunger coming from her stomach; Kila trotted a little farther away, and began grazing. She could still observe the fight, but the grass was better. (I hope that was more animalistic? I am trying, at least. xP)

Sam looked down at the black doe and he nodded, giving her a smile. "Alright then, food! I don't see Blossom around... so maybe we can get some for ourselves and then look for her?" he asked her, thinking that he could hunt some for her, as he enjoyed taking care of the females in his harem. "Rabbits are particularly delicious, so let's head out to where there is... I can't believe I am saying this, less noise," he added, finally speaking more to her than to himself. "Let's go let's go let's go!" He started moving around her in circles again, his boundless energy flowing in the idea of company and noticing that maybe this female didn't dislike him or answering that she didn't need his protection.
Heading out to a part further away from the herd, he sniffed around for prey, and he noticed they had reached a good spot for hunting, as there were rabbit pellets everywhere. "Okay, so, how is your hunting?" he asked her, his amber eyes scanning hers to make sure she didn't lie in embarrassment in case she wasn't good at hunting.
Yep, that is starting to be more animal like. X3

Sec harrumphed, pawing the ground with one hoof, ready to charge if necessary. "How dare he? As Prince, he should be more careful around such a fine ewe." His muscles tensed, but he was exceedingly gentle as he paced a slow circle around Garnet, letting his tail trail slowly along her side. "Perhaps. Undoubtedly I have to fight for someone as fine as you, no? Surely I can't be the only one with my eye on you." His hide twitched over his hips, attempting to look the part of a worthy stud.

She smiled back at him as he decided, and nodded in agreement. Rabbits were skittery creatures, very cautious; it had taken her forever to develop the slightest technique to catching the speedy little buggers. She tilted her head to follow his bounding around her, and followed him to where they were going to hunt. Her paws and hooves hardly made sound as they started seeing signs of rabbits, silent and stealthy from practice. "Fairly good," she replied, meeting his eyes calmly. "I've had plenty of practice. How's yours?" she retorted with a playful grin.

{Aweh, don't hate Kaze! X3} "Just forget it, though." Kaze laughed, his fur growing hot. How could I let that stupid impulse make me answer?! Even if that is what I wanted to say, I should just forget it... He sighed to himself. I don't think I even want a harem...I should apologize. That's not why I was even talking to them...I was just being friendly. Not that any other ram probably bothers to talk to does during the Siv without trying to recruit them for a harem. This was true-- Kaze still wasn't sure of harems, but Blossom's comments made him act on impulse, trying to prove to himself that he wasn't a narrow-minded jerk. Which now, he felt he was. "I'm sorry, Alaska, just nevermind about the whole thing....Honestly...I don't think I even want a--" He didn't get to finish--the impact of another ram's horns met him before he could even utter what he was going to say. A harem. I don't even want a harem; not yet. The blow knocked the breath out of him for a moment--long enough for him to realize the attacker was none other than Threonine...the prince of the herd. He spotted Garnet a few lengths off, seeming to be in pain...Threonine must have gotten her when he had charged. He felt anger boil up inside him--first the other ram charged him with no warning, and hurt a doe, who had seemed friendly. And at that moment, he didn't care whether he disliked harems or not--he knew inside he really liked Alaska, and felt she deserved better than that...that...thickheaded jerk. "Yeah, right! I don't even care much for harems yet...honestly, I don't think they're the most brilliant thing in the Siv! But what Blossom said made me think otherwise for a moment..." And if that didn't...this fight most likely will; whether I dislike harems or not. His eyes narrowed, fiery with anger. "And what do you think you are? A precious ram that thinks he can just pick and choose whatever does he wants to be in his pathetic harem, not even caring whether the other really approves?!" Kaze growled, recovering from the impact. "Well, you're not." he snarled, his vivid green eyes now blazing with a fire that only lit them when he was in a fight--one he wasn't willing to lose. "You're just a thickheaded ram who thinks he's everything, when he's really worth as much as a speck dust in the wind." He didn't necessarily think this, and probably wouldn't say such things at another time-- but at that moment, he didn't care. This was a fight, a Siv fight, and he didn't pick and choose what he said at a time like this. Kaze, though fiery with anger, felt an odd calm creep through him; his adrenaline seeming to pause time for just a moment. Then it restarted; Threonine was upon him. The young grey ram may have been friendly--and he was, but he was almost the opposite when he was in a fight. He whipped his head and thrust his head forward, aiming for his horns to collide with the "Prince"'s, backing up the blow with all of his strength.

Sam gave a competitive sneer. "Oh? Is that a challenge? Is it?" he asked her, rearing playfully and shaking his horns and colliding them with hers softly as he play fought her. With their heads closed up, he stared at her and snorted in mock anger. "We will see who catches the rabbit first, yes?" he said, his paws giving a small shift as he unlocked the horns, and gave on of his little dances as he jumped up and down a little as a kid would at the prospect of play. His face suddenly contorted as he stopped and felt like slamming his horns against the ground. Nice going Sam. Challenge the nice doe during Siv. That will definitely make her want to join you...
He looked around, looking for the right words to fix his mistake. However, as usual, he was at a loss as he looked at his paws in shame. What was it about Siv that seemed to bring his brute childishness out at the wrongest of times? His behavior was normally seen as odd and a bit immature by some stags, and looked up at by the kids, but it made for horrible harem proposals. He cleared his throat, and looked up, saying the only thing he could think of. "This is only if you want... of course?" he said almost in question, his ear giving an awkward flick.
Blossom shook her pelt dry as she got out of the stream. She had rolled around in the water and licked her fur clean, leaving it sparkling and silky looking. She stretched lightly and looked up, noticing that the day had barely started. So much had happened already, she wondered what could possibly enlighten her day more. She was glad that the monotony of her life had been stopped if even briefly, but now she felt that not even looking for flowering buds would make her happy. She settle for looking for Sam, as he always seemed to have something in mind, and she headed back to the herd, her head low as she passed through the masses of females and males stills strutting and looking for harems, feeling out of place despite already belonging to one.
Noticing Sam was nowhere in sight, she wondered if he had gone away to fetch more females or if he was still with the floppy eared doe. Tail dropped at the prospect of being left alone by her harem male, but she settled for grazing near the hill that Devi always used to make his announcements, her eyes looking at the grass, not wishing to make eye contact with anybody after her all the talking she had done already that day.

Alaska was shocked by Kaze's question, if a bit pleased by the fact that another ram liked her enough to ask. She peered into his eyes, deep green and full of warmth, she began to think. Her thoughts where cut short when Threonine charged, however, and Alaska was again surprised. She wasn't really sure which ram she wanted to win this fight. The Prince... Threonine, a powerful and charming figure, or Kaze, a warrior who loved to talk.
Alaska heard Garnet squeal and run off, but then heard her dismiss the injury. Her worry faded, and she looked up at the two rams as Kaze taunted Threonine, the doe thought that just maybe, after what he had said, Kaze really did like her. She wasn't sure about Threonine- sure, he was fighting for her, but was it just to prove his strength and keep her in his harem, or was it for a different reason? Oh well, might as well pay attention to the fight, Alaska thought. Realizing she had stood up when the Prince attacked, she abruptly sat down, licking the fur on her chest down quickly before casting her blue gaze back to the fight.
