"That's great," Kila squealed quietly, eyes sparkling with excitement for her friend. Noticing concern in Hannie's eyes; bravely Kila said, "I'm fine not being in a harem, really," trying to hide sadness from her voice. Changing the subject to something lighter, the pale gray doe took a step closer to her friend, whispering in her ear. "Are you expecting a kid yet?" Tipping her head expectantly, Kila awaited an answer.

Garnet smiled and nodded to the old ram, a smile still clear on her face. All of her life, she had been sheltered, and she had never had friends. Her smile faultered slightly as she remembered the herd of sheep she had met on her travels, and their cruel fate. She shook herself, as if she was trying to rid herself of that memory. Her mind was pure chaos, thoughts that had no connections to her other thoughts piping up. She roused herself from her musings and looked at Devi, who seemed at ease with Blossom. Her smile returned and she looked to Sec. "How are you today?"'she asked in a shaky voice, unsure of what else to say.

(Fail post is fail. Darn iPod internets. Not to mention I'm bed ridden....ugh)

Hannie cracked a smile, admiring her friend's bravery when she knew it affected her. "I'm sure good luck will head your way," she said, her face reassuring. She giggled at Kila's blunt yet shy way of asking the question, and shook her head. "No, I am not expecting yet," she chuckled. "Probably not long before I will be, though," she winked, thinking about it herself. When would Sam choose to give her a child? Since it was her first Siv, though, she figured this had been a normal amount of time and as such, dismissed the idea and turned her thoughts back to her friend.

Sec spared a small glance at Garnet, smiling. "I'm quite well. I plan to fight Devi for you today. I must wait for the right moment, though. I do not wish for my efforts to be in vain." He stood and struck a masculine pose, showing off his "important" assets, from muscles, through form and overall health to... erm, "masculinity". Wooing, he decided, was a good way to spend a little bit of time, meaning there would be a chance of less fighting later. His ears flicked, and he checked the Prime again, ensuring his to-be opponent hadn't moved toward the river.

Garnet Blushed and smiled, batting her eyelashes. It was as if Lu Ten was no longer there. "Really? For me?" she asked, in half disbelief. The doe shook her auburn fur, the last of the dewdrops that had settled on her coat from the grass she had slept on sent flying off. She giggled to herself and bent down to nibble at the grass, watching Devi intently and chanting to herself, Dont get hurt, don't get hurt.... Her big brown eyes then looked up to the almost cloudless sky, and she smiled, relaxing ever so slightly.

Being preoccupied with his grazing and thoughts of his own herd, Devi completely missed the obvious discomfort in Blossom's body language. He finished the dandelion he was currently munching on before continuing the conversation.
"That's good for Sam, but what about you Blossom? How's he been with you?" He smiled at her, totally intent on this answer. If he was to fully accept Blossom being with Sam, he'd have to make sure he was keeping all of his harem happy.

Lu Ten was a bit taken aback by the intensity of the other ram. He looked over towards the hill Sec had been focusing on, and spotting the Prime, could see he would be in for quite a fight. The prime looked large and strong, but this male seemed very intent on victory. His will to win seemed to radiate from him. Lu shuddered. In his time as prime, he'd fought many times for many does and now that he was older, he had no desire to revisit those days.
He knew the words of an outsider would be neither welcome nor heeded so he simply nodded and took a step back. He might as well get used to the idea of a wait. He could see there would be no time for conversation with the prime at the moment anyway.

Blossom shifted her front hooves uncomfortably. What was she supposed to say? This was a direct question, and one she was struggling to find a way around. She wasn't thinking very clear however, and after a moment of silence, she sighed.

"I... He..." she rambled, then she shook her head violently, trying to get herself together. "He seems to have forgotten I exist..." she muttered after a moment of silence. "I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm just not good enough to be paid attention, or maybe he doesn't want to risk having kids that look or act like me, but I have pretty much been taking care of myself just like always do," she rambled, her eyes on her hooves and her ears drooping.

Kila smiled right back, very happy for her friend; and excited by the thought that there was still a bit of time left to be asked into a harem. "Oh, your kid will be beautiful!" Kila whispered happily, thinking of what it might look like. "Tell me as soon as you are," she finished; smiling at the thought of all the kids to come after Siv. Stretching her neck to take an excited bite of grass, Kila wondered if it was possible that even she could be having a kid.

Garnet watched Lu Ten leave with her kind, wide brown eyes. She looked down at her paws, before casually grazing beside Sec. "You wanna go for a swim?" She asked him, grinning lopsidedly at him. She wanted more than anything for males to be fighting over her, but on the other hand she did not want anyone to get hurt, and maybe an aversion would stop a fight for a while. She shook her auburn fur and watched Devi talk to Blossom with ease, like a flowing stream. Maybe if she had stayed, it wouldnt have been that bad talking to her friend. It seemed like ages since she had really spoken to anyone, as if being in a harem had isolated her from the herd. Though she knew it wasnt the case, it sure seemed like it. With a small sigh, she returned to her grazing and waited for Sec to answer.

Devi's face fell. His smile replaced first by a look of confusion, then anger. His brow furrowed and he laid his ears flat.
"That's not right." He fumed quietly to himself, then, to Blossom "Everyone deserves attention and there's nothing wrong with how you look or act." He flicked his ivory tail in annoyance as he searched the fields for his old friend. 'What is he thinking? He has a harem. His does should be looked after.'

Hannie blushed slightly under her fur as Kila excitedly talked about the child she would soon have inside her. She hadn't really thought about what their child would look like, but now that Kila had mentioned it hundreds of different pictures flashed through her head...
A light grey little boy with red and white swirls that took after his mother...
A dark grey little girl with blue and white swirls who took after her daddy...
A little boy who had a black mane and light grey body with red and blue patterns swirling together, who completely displayed who his parents were...
Now the curiosity was killing her.
"I will," she giggled, her thoughts only barely returning to her friend. She watched her friend graze, suddenly wondering what Kila's baby would look like -if she had one. Who would the father be? Ideas of babies with Kila's swirls appeared in her head, but the pictures were incomplete without a father to contribute as well.

Blossom felt blood roar in her ears in embarrassment. She didn't want to make him angry, and she certainly didn't want to stir bad blood between the two once more during the Siv, especially over her again. "It's okay," she said in a rushed voice. "I can fend for myself. Besides, if I had his attention on me right now, maybe we wouldn't be able to be talking like this right now.," she added, actually not bothered by this fact at all.

Sam padded into the clearing where most of the herd usually was at. He was dragging two rabbits in his jaws, one for each of his does, when he spotted Hannie talking to a pretty gray doe he usually saw her with before the Siv. Kila, he believed was her name. As he approached them, he dropped the rabbits and bowed down at the two does. He then turned to look at Hannie and beamed down at her. "Told you I would make it up to you. I have brought you a rabbit, it's nice and plump," he said, then nosed it towards her. "Has your stag brought you anything yet?" he asked Kila, turning to look at her, his head tilted lightly in curiosity.

Sec looked toward the river- it was his target "venue" anyway... "Why not? It'd be refreshing." He took a step, then glanced back, fluffing his tail as he waited patiently for Garnet to finish grazing. It simply would not do to snap or rush the ewe he was after, now, would it? No, no. He spared the rest of the herd- and Lu Ten- a glance, his gaze inevitably hovering on Devi for slightly longer than any other Goennec he saw, before focusing on the river.

Lavantia looked up seeing Blossom talking to the prime, she knew that Bloosom was in Sam's Harem or so she had heard, but Sam had not been acting lick she existed. She wondered what was up with that but she knew it wasn't her bussiness. She looked around for Forest hoping to talk to her old friend. She saw her not to far from Blossom and Devi but to get to her she would have to go past them. 'It can't be helped,' she though heading towards Forest in hopes of talking to her.

Garnet smiled and shook out her fur, lifting her head from her grazing and beginning to trot forwards. Her smile widened into a grin as she passed Sec, and she flicked her tail with a playful laugh before slowing her pace. "Come on, slow poke!" She exclaimed with another laugh, "We don't have all day!" The sun shone down on her, pristine and warm, and she closed her eyes to enjoy the warmth while it lasted. Soon winter would return, and there would be no more warmth, just harsh snowing and hail, the same as every other winter she had experienced- though that wasnt saying much, seeing as she had only lived through four winters. She shook herself from her thoughts and the warmth of the sun to look at Sec again, just waiting for him to break into a run so she could bypass him with ease. She loved to race, and she had grown rather good at running due to her past experiences, and so she thought highly of herself in that area of life. If she raced someone, it was likely to be a close race, but she would always win. The innocent doe never had the thought cross her mind that most of the time her opponent had probably let her win, and it was best that way. Garnet was vain and conceited, but kind and sweet too. To let her lose her innocence and gain knowledge of the world would be a tragic thing if done in the wrong manner; it would cause her to change completely.

About to answer Hannie, Kila's eyes widened in shock at the question Sam had just asked; and her mouth hung askew. Remembering the question was addressed to her, Kila answered shyly, "I'm not in a harem." Shifting her hooves slightly, she looked down at them as if they were the most interesting thing in the world; wanting avoiding the handsome ram's curious eyes. Finding the bravery to look up, Kila did, and produced a shy smile to Sam. Remembering that Hannie and Sam probably didn't want to be bother by her, she began to back up. "I uh, guess I'll leave you two now..."

Sam's curiosity turned to shock for a second, and then to anger at himself for asking such a hurtful question to a doe without a harem. His amber eyes turned to Hannie's for a second, and then back to Kila's as the doe spoke and started backing away. A second of conflict crossed his mind, as he knew that this rabbit was meant for another doe, but his nature could not allow him to let Kila leave with an empty belly, nor with the obvious discomfort he had created on the gray doe.

"Stay," he said, in his deep yet kind voice. "I brought two rabbits. There is more than enough for us to share. I am certain you are hungry." Sam looked down, and grabbed the rabbit with his teeth, then dragged it to where Kila was. He backed away a little, his navy horns glinting in the sunlight, and the equally navy bandage noticeable by the shine of his fur. A small breeze ruffled his mane and goatee slightly as he sat down next to Hannie and he looked Kila up and down, curiosity returning to his eyes. "Tell me, how does such a lovely doe as yourself wind up without a harem so close to the end of Siv? Has this been your wish?" he asked, remembering overhearing Blossom say something about this at some point, but not remembering where or when. "I am sure any stag would be lucky to have you in his harem," he added courteously, bowing his head lightly, hoping to make the doe feel better after his initial rudeness.

"Th-thank you," Kila stuttered; realizing how hungry she actually was. Taking a bite of the hare, she wondered if this was what it was like being in a harem--being waited on by a ram. A happiness fluttered inside her, but Sam's voice brought her back to the current time. "I just thought no ram wanted me," Kila said quietly, chancing a glance up at the handsome ram. Eyes shining in happiness, they began to swivel back in sensing the ram's discomfort in his earlier question. "It's fine--what you said before," Kila said, thinking this to be the only reason Sam had been being kind to her.

Hannie turned and saw Sam approaching, a happy smile appearing on her face. "Hi Sam," she chirped, noticing the two rabbits. She gratefully accepted the rabbit from him, a tiny pang of guilt hitting her as she realized how awkward this must be for Kila. She was about to offer to share some of her rabbit (for she assumed the other rabbit was for Blossom, or for himself) when her friend started to leave after Sam's question. She met Sam's eyes, unsureness showing in hers as she tried to think of what to say to Kila. She breathed a quiet sigh of relief as Sam offered the other rabbit and Kila stayed; she had felt horrible for her friend in the situation.
Hannie quietly ate her rabbit as she listened to her friends talking. She was comfortable simply listening, and so she made herself comfortable where she was sitting next to Sam and continued to eat.

Sam beamed down at Kila as she forgave him, but his face turned serious a moment later. He looked over at Hannie, and noticed she seemed very happy to be chatting to her friend and be next to him at the same time. This made him wonder. Kila was a very pretty doe, and she obviously disappointed in not having found a harem yet, meaning that she would like to be in one. His ears flicked as he put some thought into the situation. I am sure Hannie would be pleased to spend more time with Kila, and I would definitely like to have her in my harem. She would make an amazing mother, I am sure. With this thought in mind, the feathered male gave the gray female one of his usual boyish smiles before speaking. "Well Kila, I would be more than honored if you accepted joining my harem. The more the merrier, and it would be a shame for such a nice pretty doe as yourself to not enjoy yourself in such a well timed Siv. The peaceful times we have been having are perfect for raising kids and teaching them the finer points of proper pranks," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief at his last words.
