"I don't know what to say," Kila joked, playing along. "I would love to be in your harem, Sam," she said quietly; looking up at Sam. Her eyes shone with happiness that was quite apparent, and being a Goennec of little words, no more were needed. She knew Sam would be a great father, and was a very caring ram. Kila wanted to get to know Sam more, but knew that this probably wasn't the most practical time to ask possibly personal questions. He was going to give that rabbit to someone else--maybe Blossom; she scolded herself for having taken the rabbit. Wanting to make it up, Kila spoke again, saying, "Since that rabbit wasn't intended for me, maybe I could go find another for you?"

"But you shouldn't have to fend for yourself." Devi said sternly. "If he expects you to have any kids at all, he should be keeping you well cared for. A weak doe will mean a difficult birth and a weak kid with more struggle to life than necessary." He flicked his tail a second time and softened his gaze as he gave up his search for their old friend and looked back towards Blossom. 'What is he thinking?' He had noticed that Sam had a hard time focusing on two things at once, but completely ignoring someone, especially a doe he obviously cared for was something he'd not expected. He tapped a hoof once before taking a step towards his company. He brushed his tail softly against hers comfortingly. His expression melted into one of sincere kindness. "Don't worry Blossom."
I know I haven't been posting Forest or Lu Ten. They're both in a sort of 'stand-by' mode. Just watching the action, but with purpose. They haven't disappeared, I just don't have anything but 'They continued to do the same thing' for them. X)

Sam's ears perked up as Kila accepted his proposal, and he beamed down at her. As she mentioned the rabbit, his face grew serious as he remembered the rabbit was intended for Blossom. However, he had no intention of making Kila go out hunting and having to maintain Blossom. It was about time that he stepped up and took charge of his harem does, Blossom included. He shook his head at Kila and stood up. He stood beside her and nudged his horns kindly to hers. "Do not worry, I will hunt some more. I could not leave you to watch as another doe ate. Besides, seeing as how you are now in my harem, the rabbit would have reached as well."
As he said this, he turned to Hannie and gave the black doe an affectionate lick between the eyes before looking at them both. "I will leave you both for now. I should go make sure that Blossom hasn't hunted already," he finished, then bowed his gray head and turned to leave, his eyes scanning to see if he could make out the bright white coat of the young doe.
Blossom shook her head, not staring at him directly. "I don't think that would be a problem. I am not certain I want to have his kid," she muttered. "I can only imagine... he barely pays attention to me now, imagine when there are kids... He may even ignore my own."
She turned her purple gaze up at him as she felt his tail brush hers and heard him answer, and she felt her fur prickle with a strange mix of embarrassment and some emotion still unknown to her, it wasn't love, but it was definitely more than just admiration towards a strong stag, and the fact that he was the Prime was more of an added title that she did not care about. After a few seconds of this, she looked away, her ears red, and all she could do was hope that her white coat was shaggy enough to cover the color.
His words were echoed in her mind as she registered them and she flicked her ear in thought. "I guess I shouldn't. There is always next Siv, right?" she asked him, looking up at him and a small forced smile crossed her face as she remembered how angry he had looked when he thought she was unhappy.

His brow furrowed again, this time with a bit of sadness rather than anger. "That's true. There is always next year. . . But . . " He paused for a second trying to word it carefully and clearly. "But, why should you be unhappy this year? Sure, rams have every right to court whichever doe he wants in his harem, but does aren't meant to be captives. I wouldn't have that in my herd. If he isn't caring for you the way you should be cared for, you have every right to leave him." He looked at her, very seriously, but with soft eyes, ignoring her blushing ears. He was trying to give her this advice without imposing himself upon her. He still wanted her in his harem, but he wasn't going to let her think he was trying to get her to leave Sam for him. That would betray, not only her trust, but his friendship with Sam as well.

Blossom sat down, her paws and hooves starting to feel like if she had run from a bear for a mountain's length. She looked down at her green hooves, and focused on the green swirls around them. She wondered about what he had just said, and her ears flattened unhappily. So I am either alone or ignored by Sam... none of the two choices are really any good... If any stag truly wanted me, they would have fought Sam for me already...
She stared sadly at Devi and nodded. "I suppose I may as well leave him. Who knows... maybe my being alone again will make another stag that did not wish to fight for me look my way and ignore the floral pattern on my coat," she said, her tail giving a small flick with her tail, wondering about the stags in the herd. Her eyes glimmered with determination and she gave a small nod. "Yes, it is decided. I am not longer a part of his harem. I won't even bother with telling him. Knowing him he probably even forgot I am a part of his harem." Her eyes glimmered with frustration at not only him, but at herself for sounding like a pitiful child. However, she somehow felt like this Siv had been robbed from her by the gray stag, and this was something that she was not going to forgive easily.

Devi was relieved by her decision, but a new worry arose. He followed her lead and sat down beside her and looked sheepishly at his own paws. He was hoping that she hadn't forgotten why she ended up with Sam in the first place. His ears swiveled and his tail flicked in apprehension. "I fought for you . . ." He said softly, almost in a whisper. He wished he'd said it louder, but at the same time wished he hadn't said it at all. he last thing he wanted right then was to be asked to repeat himself. It had been a bad idea anyway. Had he not just told himself he wouldn't bring up his own desires? He bit his tongue in a childlike attempt to keep himself from saying anything else. He had no doubt that Sam would be angry about this.

A small mutter from Devi snapped Blossom back to where she stood. She turned to look at him and tilted her head curiously. "I am sorry?" she asked, not having heard his words. She realized she had been so deep in her thoughts she momentarily forgot about where she was. She bent down and grabbed another dandelion, her face still not entirely sure how relieved she was with her decision.
Eyes still scanned the area, when a loud churn in the stomach made the gray stag realize that he himself had not had a decent meal. He looked down at his paws and then looked over to the forest. I should really get something for myself... I am starving... he thought, his simple mind changing his focus fast as he turned around and decided to head out for a tasty morsel for himself.

'Of course she didn't hear you. You speak like a newborn when you're nervous like this.' He chastised himself mentally. He waited a moment, knowing she was waiting for him to repeat himself and although he honestly wished not to, something was pushing the words from his tongue. "You said something about a ram who did not want to fight for you coming to claim you. Well . . ." He paused for a second, digging the digits of his paws into the dirt and dandelion stems. "Well, I fought for you . . ." This time he spoke louder, wanting to be sure she heard him. There was no way in hell we was going to say it again. He flattened his reddening ears, pinched his eyes closed and waited nervously for her response.

As Devi repeated himself, Blossom's mind ran back to the day that Devi and Sam fought for her. Devi had seemed like he wanted her as nothing more than a collectible, asking her at the same time as he had asked Garnet. She had always wondered if she had merely been asked as an extra baggage. However, there was none of the pride, none of the greed that had been in his eyes that time. Only nerves about being rejected, and the kindness that had been in his eyes a moment earlier still made her belly feel funny when she thought about it.
She cleared her throat, glad she was sitting as it helped her feel less self aware. He was close enough that she could headbutt him gently with her small green horns. As she did this, she turned her gaze towards his shut eyes and she smiled at him, her head still against his pelt. "I know," she said kindly, her tail giving a small wag.

Devi wanted to shove his face into the dirt. 'Why wont she just take a hint?' Perhaps he should have taken it as nature's way of telling him not to involve himself, but by now, his thoughts had all migrated towards the here and now rather than what might happen with Sam later. He took a deep breath, opened his eyes, and stared straight at her. 'Here goes nothing.' "Well, my offer from before still stands. Would you join me?" His thoughts where buzzing around in his head so much, they left his face totally blank, just staring at the doe with his large muddy-red eyes. /failpost

As Devi asked her to be in his harem, Blossom's ears perked up and she stared at him awkwardly. Her gaze turned to Forest, who seemed to still be eating dandelions close by, oblivious to her surroundings. For a moment, Blossom considered Devi's proposal. She thought about Queen and Garnet. She definitely wouldn't be wanting to hang around too much with his other harem does, but he might actually prove to be a much better and caring stag than he had showed her the first time. She beamed up at him and nodded her head once, noticing how ironic this all was.
Sam had fought Devi to save Blossom from being mistreated by a stag, and in turn it was Devi who 'saved' her from Sam from the lack of treatment.
"I would love to be in you harem," she said in her usual quiet voice, a happy spark in her eyes as she answered.

Devi gushed at her acceptance. "I'll treat you the way a ram should!" He nearly jumped to his feet, excited to prove himself to her. He put on a silly smile. "Dandelions are no meal for an expecting doe." Devi didn't pretend to know how all this worked. As far as he was concerned, she was knocked up the second she said 'yes'. "I'll have to go catch you a nice juicy rabbit for dinner."
"Oh, dear lord, finally!" Forest practically yelled from her watch-spot nearby. "Do you know how long I've been waiting for this?" She scolded teasingly as she shuffled over to them. "I've been watching you two make eyes at each other for weeks now. Goodness! Youth is so confusing, just say it!" She caught herself before she started on a ramble. She grinned happily at the two. "And don't worry to much about Sam, deary." She said kindly to Blossom "He's a big boy, he'll understand." She hoped she was right. She didn't want any lasting damage done to any of these relationships, but, honestly, he must see it too, right? If not, he would, eventually, she figured.

"Bye," Kila whispered incoherently, watching Sam until he disappeared from view. "Oh, Hannie!" Kila gushed with pent-up happiness. "I'm in a harem! With you!" she almost squealed, surprising even herself with how talkative and emotional she was being. Spinning in a tight circle, Kila's excitement began to fade; and worry overwhelmed her. What if I am a bad mother? What if I can't take care of my kid properly? The what ifs went on and on, running through Kila's head.

Late post is incredibly late and I are fail. >.<;;
Garnet smiled and shook out her fur, lifting her head from her grazing and beginning to trot forwards. Her smile widened into a grin as she passed Sec, and she flicked her tail with a playful laugh before slowing her pace. "Come on, slow poke!" She exclaimed with another laugh, "We don't have all day!" The sun shone down on her, pristine and warm, and she closed her eyes to enjoy the warmth while it lasted. Soon winter would return, and there would be no more warmth, just harsh snowing and hail, the same as every other winter she had experienced- though that wasnt saying much, seeing as she had only lived through four winters. She shook herself from her thoughts and the warmth of the sun to look at Sec again, just waiting for him to break into a run so she could bypass him with ease. She loved to race, and she had grown rather good at running due to her past experiences, and so she thought highly of herself in that area of life. If she raced someone, it was likely to be a close race, but she would always win. The innocent doe never had the thought cross her mind that most of the time her opponent had probably let her win, and it was best that way. Garnet was vain and conceited, but kind and sweet too. To let her lose her innocence and gain knowledge of the world would be a tragic thing if done in the wrong manner; it would cause her to change completely.
Sec reared slightly and followed, reserving most of his energy for later. Winning a race at the expense of losing the fight was intolerable, at least in his book, and he wouldn't be able to stand himself if he lost. "Perhaps, soon, we'll have all day!" With a playful bleat, he jogged past Garnet, watching her out of the corner of his eye. He'd let her win, he decided, but not after a little bit of play.... Crappy reply, too. >.>;;

Blossom's tail wagged, his happiness contagious. She couldn't help but smile at his almost kid like excitement. She got to her paws and hooves as well, unable to keep sitting with how much energy was radiating from the black and ruby stag.
The second Sam had won her, he had moved on to the next doe, and she wondered if this would be the case with him again. His smile said otherwise however, and the promise for a nice rabbit for dinner made her stomach churn a little with expectation.
A yell from nearby snapped her attention away from Devi, and she noticed Forest looking their way. She remembered that the reason she had gotten here was the elder, and how the elder had seemed very interested in getting her to talk to Devi. She quirked an eyebrow and snorted at Forest. The snort was not one of exasperation, nor of anger, but one of play and happiness, not unlike a giggling kid would snort at another when a prank had been played on it. There is no way Forest would have known was would have happened, but even if she did deliberately manipulate this in hopes of this outcome, I have nothing but grateful words for her, she thought, her purple eyes scanning the grounds.
She looked towards were Garnet had run off too, and noticed that she was already racing with another, a stag, one of the herd. She shook her head, a small scowl on her face. The way that Garnet was moving looked flirty and suggestive, and she wondered what was crossing the mind of this doe who had showed herself to be a quiet girl and now looked as much as a seductress as a ruby red doe she had always been wary of.

Lavantia staggered when she heard that Blossom was going to leave Sam and not tell him. She had never though the young doe would do something like that she had always seemed kind hearted. She couldn't blame the doe though; Sam had been ignoring her and no buck that did that deserved her. She saw forest come out and grinned at the ewes antick and decided to talk to her later instead.

Garnet grinned and raced after Sec, though her mind and gaze wandered over to where her Prime stood once again, just in time to catch Blossom scowling at her. She didn't think anything of it at first, though she felt her heart sink ever so slightly. Then, her mind raced ahead of her and she began to think. She pondered why the doe would be scowling at her for a while while she ran, though she had slowed, until she came up with a theory. On the first day of the Siv, she had been a shy, desperate doe. Now she was rather terrible, and only a small part of it she could blame on hormones. She sighed and frowned to herself, annoyed at how she was now. There was no way she could change her ways, her personality was hers and not tradeable. The auburn doe seemed rather dejected now, but she tried to hide it with a tight smile. Perhaps Blossom had decided to join Devi? She ran on, nearing the river. Her gaze remained, unwavering, on the rather ecstatic Prime and Blossom for the whole time. [/color]

Hannie's eyebrows rose, a bit surprised by the question to her friend but excited nonetheless. She grinned at Sam, nudging him slightly in the side with her small horns as he passed to hunt again. "Bye Sam," she called in unison with Kila, turning back to her friend as she heard how excited she was. She watched Kila spin and giggled, amused and thrilled for her friend. "See? I told you good things would happen! Congrats that you're in a harem now!" she added with a wink. She frowned as Kila's face dropped, wondering what she was thinking. "Whatever you're worried about, I'm sure it will be fine," she said with a warm smile.

{Sorry, really late reply. My vacation was extended, and I had no internet access.} Edit-- Post has been edited, sorry for failness and shortness Alaska laughed, a light, musical sound coming from her throat. She couldn't help but admit that this was one of the few Goennecs who had ever gotten past her coldness, and found the warmth hidden inside. Alaska was glad for it. She nudged Kaze with her nose, and took off towards the trees, her body filled with warmth from the sun. "Sure," Roshan replied, stepping forward to take a bite of the rabbit. It was still fresh, and he savored the bite before looking back up at the gorgeous doe in front of him. "What where you thinking of doing today?" He asked, his violet eyes shimmering in the sun. He scanned the other Goennecs in the herd, looking to see if anything interesting was happening. His eyes caught on Blossom and Devarsi, but he thought nothing of it and didn't glance back.

Kaze grinned at the cream and brown doe, emerald eyes shining as he bounded across the feathery grass, the wind rustling his fur and mane. He loved how the vibrant sun felt, shining down beams of warmth on his rime-gray fur, and the bubbly feeling of happiness and excitement in the air...and sharing it with Alaska made it all the better. It felt great to be running together, racing through the valley on a warm morning during Siv. "Whoo!" He called out, laughing through the fur of the rabbit that was still held tightly in his jaws. His eyes were bright and warm, laughter shining in their brilliant green depths.
{It's fine~ XD;}
