"I just can't believe it!" Kila chattered; happy again. "We are in the same harem! And now you should tell me more of what Sam is like," Kila winked back. Unconciously Kila's back paws grabbed and pulled at the grass, presumably from excitement; but actually from the worry that was still knawing at her. Kila's face grew serious as Hannie spoke of everything being fine and she countered, "Hannie, what if I am not a good mother? Or if something goes wrong...or," she trailed off, thinking of even worse things.

Stargazer stared at Roshan with a blank look on her face for a moment. What was I thinking of doing? Now that she thought about it, she couldn't remember. It was the honesty of this fact that frustrated her. I'm supposed to be able to remember everything! Well, perhaps not everything, but she was generally very proud of her keen ability to memorize the position and name of every star. Yet she couldn't remember something as painfully simple as what she had planned to do that day. Perhaps, unlike bigger things, it was so unimportant that she sub-consciously chucked that bit of information.
She stared into his bright eyes, quickly coming up with new ideas for what she wanted to do that day. Not hunting, they'd just eaten. Patrol? A stroll in the woods? A day spent basking at the edge of the watering hole? No, all too common, too boring on such a nice day. "Actually, I don't have any plans. But I was just thinking, would you mind introducing me to your friend?" She asked, "The one you told me about, Alaska."

Hannie chuckled. "Well, he's really energetic," she said, "And very caring. I don't think a day has gone by when he hasn't made sure I've gotten plenty to eat," she motioned to the rabbits sitting in front of both of them. "He's friendly and I think you two will get along great," she said with a smile. "You won't know until it happens. I'm sure you'll do fine," she said, trying to be reassuring. "I don't know if I'LL make a good mother either. And I'm sure nothing will go wrong. And if it does, we'll make it through," she added with a small grin. "Sam will make sure us and our babies are fine."

Devi stared at Forest in surprise. "you planned this, didn't you?" He watched as her smile turned sly. "You old goat." He teased. He was suddenly very happy she had though. He'd been wanting Blossom in his harem this whole time, yet he'd never had the guts to say anything. As she stepped up beside the two, he headbutted her playfully, careful not to push too hard. He knew how weak her knees got after standing for so long.
She laughed in reply. "Stubborn fool." She cooed. She felt accomplished now that she'd achieved her goal for the siv. Devi was like a son to her and Blossom had become such a good friend. Them being together finally made her very happy indeed. "well, now that my job is done, I think it's time for me to go rest these old bones." She chuckled, taking a step to turn towards the creek.
Lu Ten was surprised to find himself alone. Normally, herd members would be keen to watch a stranger and alert the prime. 'Perhaps there's a calm here.' He thought curiously. He'd experienced a few good long calms in his time. They tended to put the herds at ease, and take them off their guard. "It is a good thing I'm not a threat or this herd would be in trouble." He mused with a laugh.

Blossom watched Forest as she left, and she bowed a farewell to her before turning to Devi again, a small smile on her face. "Now about that rabbit?" she asked him, a small gleam in her eyes as she thought about the food. Devi had started walking, and young Blossom happily followed. As they walked, she looked around, noticing the happenings of the herd, seeing Roshan with Stargazer together.
As she was about to look at Devi again, her gaze wandered on a strange looking goennec, a somewhat old goennec, possibly as old as Forest, was staring straight in the direction that Devi and her where in. Suddenly feeling shy, the white doe pressed up against Devi, then turned to look at his face. "Who is that?" she asked, pointing with her muzzle in the direction of the strange red colored stag.

"Thats, er, he sounds wonderful," Kila smiled enthusiastically, thinking about how lucky she was to be in such a wonderful harem. "I wonder if there are any does that still aren't in a harem," Kila mused aloud, about to say something else about being a mother when instead, two Goennecs caught her attention. "Hannie, isn't Blossom in Sam's harem?" she asked her friend, looking very confused. "I'm quite sure that is her over there with Devi."

Alaska grinned at the rime-gray ram, her eyes sparkling. "Why don't we find a good spot to finish this prey?" she suggested, indicating the forest with a nod of her head. "I'm sure that if we look long enough, we'll find a nice place, and it'll be exploring still!" Barely giving Kaze time to reply, the doe dashed into the trees, popping her head out of the shadows with an expression of mock surprise. "Well, come on, lazy bones!" The gray and purple ram was a bit surprised by Stargazer's suggestion, but he didn't let the shock travel to his facial expression, and it passed quickly. "Alaska? Sure! Just... She might seem rude at first. But don't worry, she's just like that." Realizing what he just said, Roshan shook his head. "Sorry, forget what I just said. Alaska's just not as nice as some of the does you may know. I'm not sure how much this herd has changed her, but she may surprise us. Just thought I'd warn you, so you could be ready if she seems cold. She'll warm up to you once you get to know her, though! And don't worry, she's great!" Roshan grinned at Stargazer, and then looked around to see if he could spot the doe that was like an older sister to him. His gaze caught on a flash of cream over by the forest, and he also saw who he believed would be Kaze. Roshan frowned, hoping that Kaze wasn't being hard on his friend.

"Sure!" Kaze answered around the rabbit, eyes shining. The forest was a great place to explore; fun and exciting, with a crystally river that wound around moss-covered rocks and trees, carpeted with delicate green ferns and broad, leafy undergrowth. Kaze pricked his ears as Alaska dashed off, then poked her head out from the trees and called out. "Hey, who are you calling lazy bones?" Kaze laughed, trying to create an expression of mock annoyance, but he completely failed at the attempt. His eyes were bright and shining with happiness and amusement, and he was grinning like always; excitement and laughter clear in his eyes. "Let's go!" He laughed, bounding after her.

Devi was a bit surprised to feel Blossom press close to him. He didn't have too much time to enjoy it though. He saw who she'd been referring to. He was old and probably not much of a threat, but he was still a stranger. Devi became defensive immediately. "You there!" He called authoritatively, "What business do you have here?" He quickened his pace to close the gap between them. It had been a long time since they'd had outsiders on their land, but he knew what he was doing.
Lu Ten straightened up and stepped out towards the ram calling him. If he was informed correctly, this was the prime himself approaching. He was nervous, of course, but he hid it well. A weak ram would be rejected for fear of slowing down the herd, he just hoped he was old enough to convince this one he did not pose a threat. As they neared, he called back to them. "My name is Lu Ten. I come from far to the south. I mean you and your herd no harm." He bowed his head and held the pose, waiting anxiously for what he hoped to be a positive reply.

Sec paced to an easy trot as he neared the river, tossing his head. His Siv-addled mind was starting to become sober, his thoughts slowly getting clearer. And for once, he was starting to get scared of fighting the large ram. He'd follow through, naturally, but the odds of his winning were starting to turn against him the longer he waited for the Prime to approach the water. He glanced toward the other male and rolled his eyes slightly- of course, circumstances couldn't be nice to him. Of course Devi would still be talking with the white ewe, and show no signs at all of thirst. He fluffed his tail slightly and turned his gaze back to Garnet, eyeing her lustily.

Garnet was completely oblivious to everything as she reached the river. She was beggining to think differently, beginning to feel bad for her actions caused by her hormones. She shook her head, taking a drink from the water before looking towards Sec and smiling in a friendly way. She seemed slightly milder now, but it was probably due to the water in her mouth. Her body language was still suggestive, and her mind wandered over to Devi. She wanted any fight to be over with soon, and she needed him to go to the lake now so Sec could confront the ram. "Excuse me," She murmured to Sec, before dashing towards Devi. She was close to him within a few moments, looking at Blossom with a distant expression before grinning at Lu Ten. "Devi, he's okay," she murmured to him, brushing her tail against his in a flirty way of reassurance. She immediately regretted doing it, because Blossom was close. With a soft sigh she sat down and watched the world around her. She had to wait for Lu Ten to cease talking to Devi before she could lure him to the lake, but her siv addled brain was making her very impatient.

Weren't you just keeping Secretariat away so that he would NOT fight with Devi? Way to ignore my post. Ignoring is not going to make that go away. Also, you were nowhere near here. Do not interfere with every big scene you see.
Blossom kept close to Devi, and she felt his body tense up as he saw the strange male. As they got close to him, she could see she had been right, he truly was an elder. She could tell he had been handsome in his youth, and his build was strong, like Devi's. She heard Devi call out with authority, and she looked up at him, a small amount of admiration in her eyes. As the stag called back, she looked at him, and she saw him bowing his head in respect.
He's waiting for Devi's approval... He's obviously not a threat, he seems too old for that... but... A shiny pendant dangled from the goennec's neck, and she sniffed in his direction, trying to get the smell of human off him, but nothing came her way. Curiousity got the best of her, and she spoke before Devi had opened his mouth. "That's a pretty pendant you have there," she said, glancing at the male's eyes with her own purple ones.

Devi heard Garnet's vouch for the stranger's sincerity, but even so, as far as he was concerned, he alone was to be the one to pass judgment. He stared with a stern interest at the newcomer, attempting to detect any hint of a lie in his body language. This Lu Ten was old, probably no match for him if he were to try to challenge the prime, however, he would be foolish to trust so easily. Before he could question this stranger, Blossom had interrupted. That was fine with him though, This way, he could get a feel for this new goennec.
Lu Ten wondered why the doe had spoken before the prime, yet the ram wasn't objecting. He figured it best to just go along. It had already been a strange day and he could only expect it to get stranger. He wasn't too keen on sharing the story of his pendant, but what could he say? Avoiding it would surely give the prime reason to reject him as it could indicate that he was not being truthful or hiding something important. He figured he'd do well to recite it. He needed to prove that he had nothing to hide and he would certainly be questioned about his origins anyway. "Why thank you, kind doe." He started charmingly. "It is a piece of my son's horn. He and the rest of my herd were slaughtered by human poachers some years ago. I led them foolishly into an attack against their great horses and dogs. I was lucky to escape." He did not wish to go into any more detail. He hoped that would be enough for the prime. The quilt overwhelmed him once more as it always did when he remembered the day, but he held his soft, expression.

Blossom noticed the ram spoke with sincerity in his voice, and she gave him a warm smile, one that was full of sympathy and clearly meant 'I am sorry for your loss'. She looked back at Devi, wondering what the Prime would do. Would he throw away the stranger? Would he ask more? There must be a reason for this elder to be wandering around into another herd's domain. Possibly seeking refuge, as she had been taught long ago that no goennec survived without the company of the herd.

Devi considered his words carefully. There was an honesty behind them. He inspected the stranger closely. His pelt was raggedy and unkempt in places and he was thin. If he had others with him, he would be well cared for. Devi relaxed a bit, honestly believing the elder was simply seeking the protection of a herd. "You do not seem a threat to me. You are welcome to join us. Feel free to graze in our feilds and hunt out prey with us." He said kindly. Then, more seriously, "But know that I will be watching you." He figured the prince should be informed of the new addition. He looked over to Garnet. "Would you kindly go find Threonine for me and tell him we have a new elder among us?" He asked softly. "I'm sorry for asking you, but I've promised Blossom here a rabbit." He smiled.
Lu Ten could hardly believe his ears. "Th-thank you sir." He bowed deeply this time. "Thank you, sincerely, both of you." He'd not been in a herd for such a long time, it was an immense relief for him. He wouldn't have to worry so much about his own survival anymore. He didn't pretend to know why this prime had been so quick to accept him, but he was grateful that he had.

Blossom beamed up at Devi as she heard him accepting the elder into the herd. She wagged her tail once more at the thought of a rabbit, and looked up expectantly at him. She noticed Lu Ten look as relieved as she when she had first been accepted into the herd, and her throat rumbled with a small hint of a purr.
She turned her gaze on the brown colored doe for a second, not having realized she was there. She turned her head away from Garnet and back at Devi. "You really don't have to go look for a rabbit for me if you are too busy. I understand. I can go hunt for myself," she said in her normal whisper of a voice, not sure if it was okay for Devi to be paying so much attention to her if he had more important things to do.

(Threonine is down by the watering hole with Alithea)
Stargazer's ear twitched in amusement. She'd never met Alaska, but felt confident that she could handle whatever the doe dished out. If she was unfriendly, however, Stargazer would have to fight the urge to attack. Though it was unlikely she would inflict any wounds, she would prefer not to go at another doe. Of course, you can't tell that to your instinct, instinct always did have it's way. She reflected momentarily on the few fights she and MilkyWay'd had. The scuffles usually ended in what would now be serious injuries, blood as black as night pouring fourth slowly like melted tar. They healed quickly, but the pain was lasting, reflecting in their eyes like burning coals. The blood wouldn't dry, and would stick to their fur, adding extra shine to already starry pelts, *In a certain light, I wonder if all blood is black. Even the green ooze of an insect.* She mused, then shook her head to get her thoughts back on track.
She noticed Roshan was now looking off somewhere else, and trained her head that way, trying to follow where he was looking. She wasn't quite sure if she saw anything or not, and narrowed her eyes. "Should we go that way? Do you think that's where she is?" Stargazer couldn't help but feel a bit excited at the prospect of doing something interesting. She wondered if the doe would be with the grey ram. It seemed likely, which would make the meeting more or less odd. Every meeting is odd though, at least during the Siv.

Garnet smiled and nodded, her mix of emotions making her act strangely. She began to trot away, wondering when Devi would catch her a rabbit, and if he would win the fight when Sec did attack. She shook her head to clear her mind and tried to think of where Threonine would be. She spotted his blue pelt after searching for a few minutes and began to make her way towards the Prince. Her auburn head high, she began to break into a run, growing faster by the moment until she had almost thrown herself headfirst into the water hole due to her speed. She blushed slightly, staring at her paws shyly before looking up at the Prince again. She grinned in a friendly way and began to talk. "The Prime told me to inform you that we have a new elder among us. His name is Lu Ten," She told him, dipping her head respectfully. She didnt remember the last time she had spoken the Threonine, but she knew it had been a while ago. With another friendly grin, she began to turn away, though her steps were small and slow in case the ram wished to ask her a question.

Roshan turned back to Stargazer, and nodded, his short purple mane bobbing with his head. "I think I might see Alaska over by the forest. Well, I did, but whoever it was went deeper in. Yeah, I think we should go look." The ram's eyes narrowed as he looked out to the trees once more, but couldn't see Alaska. He questioningly glanced over his shoulder at the black and white doe, silently asking if she was coming. Bounding deeper into the shadowy forest, Alaska smiled at Kaze. The doe's mind whirled around thoughts and memories of what a forest looked like at night, with a light layer of frost covering everything, and had a small intake of breath. Shaking herself out of the reverie, she playfully nudged Kaze's shoulder, laughing.

"Wait a minute!" Threonine called back, before she had a chance to go far. He'd been distracted and a bit startled by the fact that a doe had just come running and nearly fallen into the water. He always took a moment to recover and had only gotten bits and pieces of what she'd said. "The Prime said what about the new ten?"
