As they padded deeper into the woods, Kaze closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying himself. He loved the forest; the comforting scent of damp moss that carpeted the thick tree roots that wound through the ground, and never seemed short of feeling mystical and wondrous. It was a great place; one of, if not the best places to explore in the valley. Kaze grinned as Alaska nudged him, and he playfully nuzzled her back, laughing. He glanced up for a moment, and spotted a large slab of stone in a small clearing; where a large, narrow log, covered with moss and fungi, had fallen just a few feet away from the rock. The sun shone down patchy above the trees and branches; a bright, warm clearing in the cool, dark woods. "How about we stop and eat there?" He suggested through a mouthful of fur. He glanced in the direction of the sun-warmed clearing, emerald eyes bright; flicking his ears to motion toward it.

Garnet turned around to stare at Threonine again, stifling a laugh at his interpretation of her statement. “What I said was that Devarsi told me to tell you that there is a new elder among us called Lu Ten. He didn’t say anything else,” She replied, seeming rather professional in the way she spoke. She never called Devi by his full name, but she though that this seemed like a rather important and professional statement and she needed to treat it as such. Her mind was a complete mess at the moment and her thinking was jumbled and confusing. She often acted completely different to how she may have acted moments or days before. It was almost as if she was somewhat schizophrenic. She remained smiling, standing a little away from the prince and waiting to see his reply.

Stargazer paused for a moment. Her ears flicked back momentarily as if she was weary, but it only lasted a moment and she bounded wordlessly after Roshan. She secretly was slightly worried, what if he'd seen a predator, rather than another Goennec? But she kept these thoughts to herself and followed.
Threonine snorted in half amusement at the true message. He was glad to hear it was a new elder, rather than ten new members. The herd was growing fast, with the arrival of many kids this season, it would soon be a very formidable size, if not overcrowded. That was always something he worried about. Growing up, Threonine's herd had always been small because it's members were always dying. It was not unheard of to lose 3 or more kids in a single day. Here things were much more peaceful, the threat of danger wasn't significant enough to endanger many. But sooner or later something was bound to happen, and he wondered silently if they would be prepared. "Ah, very well. You may tell the Prime that I have heard this message, and shall not attack if I see an elder I do not recognize." Threonine wasn't known to smile often or get excited easily, and he kept this face now, his dark blue eyes observant and his mouth drawn in a line. He dipped his head slightly, as if giving Garnet permission to leave.

Devi felt a pang of guilt as he watched Garnet whisk away to deliver his message. 'Perhaps I'll catch her something as well.' He thought with a slight smile. He turned his attention back to Blossom and the new elder. He first addressed Lu Ten. "You must be thirsty. There is a stream across the field there, go ahead and get a cool drink. Also, if you can find her, we have another elder around, Forest Run. She'd likely be more than happy to show you around. Just tell her Devi sent you to find her." He said kindly, but keeping a firm tone. Devi liked to think himself a firm, strong leader and with a stranger he wore that mask well. He didn't know it, but sooner or later, he'd lose it once again and be his usual self with the newcomer.
"Thank you sir." Lu Ten couldn't stop himself from bowing once more before heading off towards into the field. He still wasn't very sure of how comfortable he was being out in the valley with this new herd, but he ignored the wary feeling and focused on getting to the stream.
As the elder left, Devi finally got back to Blossom. Their hunt had been interrupted before it had even started and he was eager again to get to it. "Well, now, time for that rabbit!" He swished his tail happily, feeling accomplished and energized. The day had been long and by now, the sun was sinking towards the treeline. A good rabbit hunt and some relaxation sounded like a good plan for the rest of the day. He'd completely forgotten about Garnet's warning of Secretariat's plan.

Again with the OOC... Pandora, Garnet calls Devi by his full name or by Prime. The fact that she is in his harem does not make her special or higher in stature than others, or at least not high enough to disrespect him. This is the reason why Devi allowed Blossom to call him Devi, because if not given permission, it would be considered very disrespectful. Also, I am pretty sure that Garnet is not schizophrenic, however, I would not doubt multiple personality disorder. =/ Don't try to worm your Mary Suing into diseases that are not in your original character to begin with.
Blossom looked as Lu Ten walked away, a sparkle in her eyes, then she turned to see Devi's happy posture once more, looking energized at the prospect of hunting. She noticed the sun was starting to set, and she nodded, knowing she had not eating any meat that day, and her instinct telling her to start getting strong for when she was finally carrying a young in her.
She followed after him, her own tail wagging slightly. "That new Lu Ten might prove to be a perfect companion for Forest. I feel so bad about leaving her alone sometimes," she commented as she walked, her ears and nose alert for any scent of rabbit.
Proud horns gleamed in the setting sun, and a buff, gray body walked along the border of the stream, a fat rabbit in his jaws. Sam had finally been able to catch something for himself, Blossom entirely out of his mind as he thought about how lucky he had been that day, and knowing that soon he will have to do his own duty of passing his DNA to ensure the survival of the breed, an ancient instinct that was engraved in every male and female during Siv.
As he walked, he noticed the female elder, Forest, sitting by the stream, taking a small drink of water. He approached her and bowed his head in a respectful greeting. He sat next to her and he dropped his rabbit, then gave her one of his usual smiles. "Forest! How have you been?" he asked the elder before taking a bite from his rabbit.

*hands fly up* I shall explain what I mean before I go on.. I said it was almost as if she had schizofrenia, not that she had schizofrenia. It was just a sort of ramble. She calls devi Prime, but when she thinks of him she calls him Devi in her mind. She never really uses his full name, instead calling him prime. Hope that clears things up...
Garnet smiled and nodded, though she felt that she did not need to tell Devi of the Prince's reply. In her mind, it made sense that she would really only tell the Prime what Threonine said to her if it was important or something against his statement. He would expect the Prince to be fine with it anyway. With a soft huffing noise she trotted towards a patch of grass, chewing the stems slowly and gazing around her. She felt at home now, and though so many things had happened she never felt differently. She watched Blossom and Devi walk off, then looked back to Sec. If the ram did not make his move soon, or perhaps follow after Devi, then he would lose his chance completely.

"Thats, er, he sounds wonderful," Kila smiled enthusiastically, thinking about how lucky she was to be in such a wonderful harem. "I wonder if there are any does that still aren't in a harem," Kila mused aloud, about to say something else about being a mother when instead, two Goennecs caught her attention. "Hannie, isn't Blossom in Sam's harem?" she asked her friend, looking very confused. "I'm quite sure that is her over there with Devi."

Hannie felt happy and carefree -she was in a harem with a great male, her best friend was happy, and was in the same harem so they could see each other all the time. "There probably are," she responded lightly. "Some choose not to be in harems, remember? And I suppose there are probably some that just aren't asked," she felt sad for those does -if there still were any who had not chosen to be alone- wondering if she would have been one of them if Sam hadn't asked her. Best not to think of those things; I am in a harem, and thats that, she pushed the sadness away. "Hmm?" Hannie glanced in the same direction Kila was. "Yup, Blossom is in Sam's harem too." She watched the two in the distance, remembering Sam and Devi's battle over her. "It's probably fine," she shrugged. "I think those two are friends, so it makes sense that they would still talk even during Siv, I suppose," she said.

Alaska scanned the clearing with narrowed eyes, and nodded slowly. "It looks perfect," she said suddenly, peering up at Kaze. She walked slowly into the small clearing, and smiled, settling down with her back to the log. The doe raised her head, closing her eyes and basking in the warm light for a moment before nodding. "It's so warm! And I hadn't realized how hungry I was until now. Let's eat!" She set down her rabbit in front of her, then eyed the ground next to her, as if waiting for Kaze to sit down. {D'aww, sorry. Lame post is lame. Will post for Roshan later, hopefully}

Kila considered Hannie's answer for a moment, and then replied, "I suppose some choose not to be in a harem, but, it's sad for the ones who don't." Just a few minutes ago I was one of them , Kila mused; saddened by even the thought. It would be nice for every doe that wants to to be in a harem, but I guess that wouldn't make the herd grow stronger, she thought without speaking. "Oh, ok," Kila said in respone to Hannie's answer about Blossom, but noting to herself that Blossom and Devarsi looked a little too friendly to just be friends. The last of the initial shock and excitment within Kila had died down. Leaving the quiet doe who was underneath; and in turn Kila had returned to keeping most of her thoughts to herself.

Kaze grinned, emerald eyes shining with both amusement and happiness. He took a step forward, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his rime gray fur. His velvety black horns shimmered through the patches of sun that speckled the ground, broken only by the leafy branches of trees above them. "Yeah!" He agreed, settling down on a rock next to Alaska, feeling the heat from the warmed rock soaking into his fur. It was such a beautiful day; sun shining and he was in high spirits, cheerfulness in the air. He nuzzled her ear, then withdrew, and took a bite of delicious rabbit; his stomach rumbling.

As they enjoyed the weather and the food, Alaska felt very content. Sitting here with Kaze was amazing, and it gave her a feeling she'd only had once before, and yet it was still different. When Alaska finished her part of the rabbit, she looked at Kaze. She made a slight noise in her throat, a thrumming that meant she was happy. Moving closer to Kaze, she nuzzled his cheek and smiled. All of a sudden, she heard a noise in the trees behind them, and turned to see what it was. Roshan smiled as Stargazer followed him, and soon they made it into the forest. He caught the scent of Alaska- it was easy to locate her scent, because it was so familiar. Following the trail, he and Stargazer saw a small clearing, with sunlight filtering down from above the trees. That wasn't what confused him, though. It was all he could do to hold back a laugh. Alaska and Kaze sat together, looking all lovey-dovey. What a perfect moment. Too bad Alaska's almost-younger-brother was there to ruin it. As Roshan glanced back at Stargazer, motioning that it was Alaska, he started to skid down the hill leading to the clearing, landing at the base with a thump. When he looked up, Alaska was frowning at him, and all he could say was, "Did we interrupt?"

Ok lol Tala and lavi are first....
Lavi looked up at the primes exclamation an saw a new elder was amoung them. She wondered what that was all about but knew it was none of her business. "Lavi!" she heard a fond voice exclaim. She looked to her left and saw Tala bounding over to her fleet as ever. He stopped next to her," Lavi wanna go hunting?" he asked gingerly.
She hesitated then sighed, she knew she needed the norishment, " Sure Tala." she said Smiling and they scampered off together.

Sec's ears flipped back as he reached the bank and realized that he was alone. It was a perfect nightmare- alone again, with a breaking Siv, and no sign of the Prime approaching. With a desperate, frustrated bleat, he kicked out at a rock, his white hooves smashing against the stone with a punishing crack. A final huff, and his body sagged against his shoulder blades as the Siv's hold snapped, and his hormone levels began to settle back to normal. No longer wishing to fight, he crossed the river and went in search of a nice place to hide away.
Won't be on much this next week, so Sec's Siv is broken and he's going off to mope for a while. c: I don't wanna drag out the last day of the Siv for another seven weeks while we all wait for the Sec/Devi fight to start and conclude.

Garnet watched Sec walk away, and knew she should feel pity for the ram. He had next year though, and so she didnt bother to walk up to him. She sighed and looked back towards Devi with a soft smile. Maybe now Blossom would stop scowling at her, for she had no other males to toy with. She shook her auburn head and bent down to grab a mouthful of the juicy green blades at her paws, before swallowing. The doe was unsure of what to do know; both of the rams she knew were off somewhere she was not wanted, and she did not really know anyone else who would want her close. There was of course Svartur, but he was so young she found it cumbersome to have to talk to him and explain everything she would say. Deciding against talking to the kid, she sat and thought about the past months and her life. Thinking about the way she had acted lately made her rather ashamed, for she knew she had not always been that way. She used to be shy and gentle, but now she was a hormone filled monster. She resolved to try and find a way to be a better Goennec after the Siv, though a voice at the back of her head told her that was near impossible.
Garnet sighed and began to trot towards the shade of a tree, before laying down and closing her eyes. The day was moving quickly, but she had no use for it now. She would instead sleep it away instead of doing one of the many things a Goennec should do during the Siv.

Kaze felt as if nothing could be better; sitting beneath the trees and warm sun, just being with Alaska. Swallowing the last of the rabbit, he smiled back, then heard a rustling in the trees, and whipped around, green eyes narrowed slightly, wondering what is could possibly be. It couldn't be anything bad; a disgusting scent would have alerted then already. Spotting a flash of silver and purple fur among the trees, he relaxed, realizing that it was just another goey. He was dissappointed at first, enjoying the silence and such that the forest brought, but then he shrugged. This was Roshan; the ram Alaska had told him about, and Stargazer, easily recognizable by her silky black pelt, splattered with pale white stars. "Hey," he greeted, as they slid into the clearing; emerald eyes friendly despite the circumstances. As for the purple ram's question, he just shrugged.
{{Gahh sorry for the fail post and the lateness, I was trying to think of an okay post, and I wasn't sure how Kaze would answer. XD; *shrugs*}}

He smiled at the while doe, her happiness melting away his seriousness and pulling his smile into a grin. "I hope so," He replied "Forest is alone too much. She needs someone to be there to bother her when I cant." He laughed a little bit. He often felt guilty when he couldn't go see her for a day or so. She had always seemed okay with being alone for a while, but he knew how much she liked company. His thought was interrupted by the slight sound of a rustle in the bushes just inside the treeline. He too a whiff, but although the scent was there, it was just far off enough to obscure it among the wild flowers and herbs that grew here. He crouched into a hunting stance and took a couple of silent steps towards it. Now he could smell it, a rabbit. 'How on earth did we manage to not scare it off? It must have heard us.' He thought, a bit surprised. Though he quickly shook off the feeling, it didn't really matter why it was there, he was just happy that it was there.
Forest had been grazing happily since Devi and Blossom had left to go bonding. She was quite please with herself and had decided to treat herself to some sweet wildflowers. She was just getting settled in to a nice relaxing nap by the stream when Sam had approached. He took her by surprise and she nearly jumped as he exclaimed her name. Surprise was replaced by an awkward guilt as she thought back through the day's events, but she answered politely, trying not to show her secret. "I've been well. A bit busy today so I'm ready for a rest." She shifted uncomfortably, trying to reposition her forelegs in a less straining fashion. "I see you've caught dinner." She said, sounding as nonchalant as possible.

Blossom nodded happily, her ears perked up as he spoke. She noticed how suddenly his posture changed, and as she stopped, wary, she realized the smell of prey was in the air. Remembering that she had not eaten at all during the day, and her own need to hunt, as she had not been receiving food from her harem stag during the Siv, she got onto a stalking position, her ears swiveling towards the creature, wanting to make sure that it didn't betray any motion of having sensed them.
Sam wagged his tail happily as he ripped into the rabbit, hunger clear by the way he tore it. After the first bite, he nodded, swallowing with contempt. "That I did. I was walking past the forest and I realized I had hunted for Hannie and for Kila, but not for..." his eyes went blank for a second. Why had he hunted for Kila? He didn't know he was going to see her. He then shook his head, his tail giving a nervous flick as he tore into the rabbit again. "I haven't hunted for Blossom. I think I should after I am done with this. Seems to be I always forget to catch something for her," he said his face in a concerned frown. He then gave an exasperated sigh. "She seems to be disappearing more and more lately. I just forget."

Devi was confused when he saw her drop down into her own hunting stance. He figured it was probably just habit or something. "Don't worry Blossom, I'll get it for you. I promised, remember?" He whispered, keeping his voice just low enough to keep his cover. He wanted to make sure He caught her first meal in his harem. She would need that energy, maybe not right now, but eventually.
A stone of dread dropped into Forest's belly. She didn't regret pushing Devi and Blossom together, but she felt sorry for Sam. He didn't even know that he wasn't going to need to catch that meal. "It's getting pretty late. Maybe you should ask her if she's eaten already first. Wouldn't want you to go to the trouble if no one's going to eat it." She was hoping he would take her advice without question. That way, He wouldn't be embarrassed by having caught a meal for a doe in someone else's harem and she wouldn't have to answer any suspicious questions. She shifted again, ignoring his last comment. It was all making her so uneasy.

Blossom turned her gaze to Devi. She remembered his offer to catch her a rabbit, and she quickly stood down. His eyes betrayed no backing down, and determination in him being the one who made the hunt. She nodded at him as she silently shifted out of his way, but remained with her muscles tense our of habit, just in case she was needed.
As Sam finished the last bits of rabbit, he licked his muzzle, then realized that he had offered none to the elder standing next to him. His ears twitched with a little embarrassment, and he beamed down at her. "You are right, I should ask her. Just as I should ask you, Forest. Would you like for me to go fetch you a rabbit?" he asked the green doe respectfully, getting up and flicking his tail, eagerly awaiting for her to respond, as he had just noticed the day had indeed started to get late.
