Lavantia shivered in cold, awaking from her deep sleep. It was to cool of winter and she was hungry. She looked up and saw Dew huddled close to her. Noting she was awake and probally hugry as well she nuddged Talahasi. "Hmmmmm, wha----, " was his response before trying to fall back asleep agan.
This time she butted him, "Tala I'm hungry, so is Dew could you find us something to eat?" she asked.
"Sure." said Talahasi getting up and trotting off. Lavantia got up as well shaking the little flakes of snow off. "Sunrise?" she asked not seeing the little kid who wasn't so little anymore.

Hannie listened as Sam explained, nodding at the end. "Of course we'll let her know," she agreed, smiling. "And thank you for hunting, too." Her voice was cheery and she was completely awake due to the fresh chill of the morning snow, and she felt energetic. Although she still was her playful self, she had toned her jumping and running around slightly after noticing the buldge of her belly beginning to grow larger. She, like Kila, was afraid of doing the wrong thing or managing to hurt her baby, so she was being cautious. ~~ Mal glanced up as she heard someone nearby. Noticing they were approaching her, she stopped doodling and turned her attention to them. "Good morning," she responded, her voice steady. Although she liked being with other Goeys, that didn't make her social skills an ounce better and she struggled somewhat trying to decide what to say next; this of course didn't show on her calm, almost blank expressioned face. "Are you enjoying the snow?" she finally decided on, her eyes hardly ever meeting the striped does eyes. Mal was fairly sure she had seen this female before... She's part of the herd, I'm fairly sure, but I have not seen her often.

As he was responded to, Sam nodded happily and stepped off, his prances high so that he could avoid the snow as much as possible. In the process, he passed Kaze and Alaska, and he boomed a hello their way before continuing on, wanting to get the first prey of the day.
Dew flattened her ears as Lavantia ordered Talahasi, not because she was ordering the stag, but because her name had been mentioned, and she didn't want to have to speak to Blossom so early in the morning. Gratefully, the white doe didn't even look back as she continued on her way. How dare she entirely ignore me?! she whined in her head, and at that instance, she got up and padded towards her. "Good morning to you too," she huffed, glaring at the green horned one.
Ear twitching as soon as she heard someone speak next to her, she looked to her side and saw Dew walking next to her, a glare in her eyes. She rolled her eyes and continued walking. "Morning. What happened? Talahasi doesn't give you his undivided attention so you seek the first passerby to annoy?" she asked.
Blossom sighed, then stopped on her tracks, knowing she had been rude. "I am sorry. Good morning Dew. If you had said something to me I did not ignore you on purpose. I just have a lot in my mind right now," she apologized, then quickly regretted it, as Dew's face turned of one with too much self imposed importance.

Guru chuckled as Kapira jumped. "I'm sorry, I hope I didn't startle you." The elder appologized, and glanced briefly beyond her, his green mane and beard blowing in the wind. "Are you in need of something? Perhaps talk?" He offered, "Most do not stand and look out in plain sight unless on duty or if in need of company." He sat down with a soft grunt, one of his hip bones making a sharp *pop* as it shifted. "I say this only from experiance." Guru added; in truth, he was not a terribly old Goennec. He had retired in part because his joints were no longer reliable. Besides the natural causes, the elder had also been bashed and injured many times in battle, taking a toll on his health. He still wasn't the most patient type, and liked to get on with things rather than waiting for others to start a conversation. Not waiting now for her to answer, he continued. "I hear your name is Kapira, but I know little about you." He tipped his head slightly to the side, having offered his conversation starter.
MilkyWay shifted slightly, moaning in her sleep. One eye opened slowly, noting that her black coat was stained white with snow. The dark color at least kept her fairly warm in the steadily colder temperatures. She wondered that this winter would be harsh, and hoped not, with so many expecting does a bad winter could proove deadly. The starry doe tried not to think too hard about it though, and her mouth opened in a yawn, her pink tongue and little white teeth showing up against black fur. Still sleepy, she buried her muzzle in Nixx's fur, and pulled back with a surprised bleat, wide awake now. He was much colder than she'd expected, and was startled. "Nixx?" She nudged him frantically, making sure that he wasn't sick or worse.
Stargazer stirred and shook the snow from her fur, staring down at the white stuff in a very serious manner. She'd only just woken up, encountering snow, and felt a need to investigate. *Snow falls from the sky. It's wet like water, but colder and softer. It turns into water if it gets warm, and it makes my fur soggy. I don't like snow.* She decided, prodding it with one paw. The snow made a soft sound under her foot, already getting a little harder now that it had been on the ground for a while. *If it gets a little warmer through the day, but not warm enough to melt the snow completely, and then becomes cold again, I bet it would turn to ice.* She wondered briefly if the watering hole would be frozen over, but wasn't quite curious to get up and have a look for herself. Having gained weight since the Siv, it took a little more effort to travel long distances, and was considerably harder to hunt. She hated not being able to be very self sufficient. Yet, what other choice was there? She bent her head down, tasting a bit of the snow. *It's filling at least, and I won't have to go to the watering hole anyway if I can just eat this.* She ate more of it, even chewing some of the dying grass that just stuck above the surface in some places. Though it wasn't exactly what the mostly black doe would call a "meal", it was enough to satisfy her for the moment. Feeling too lazy to get up, she continued to lie down, staring across the landscape thoughtfully, and decided not to wake Roshan yet. It might be nicer to let him get up on his own terms, and for the moment she didn't really need anything. *I think I prefer the spring.*

What the fuzzy? How is it that I haven't replied in so long? o.0 -fails-
Devi laughed at the youngster and his enthusiasm. He had liked Takuo from the start, he reminded the prime of himself and his old friend Sam. Recently, he'd gotten to not only grow more excited by the day for the new kids, but he'd also really started wondering what they'd be like. He hoped at least one of his would take after himself, but He quite liked his does this season so he wouldn't mind at all if they were all like their mothers. He'd also tried imagining coat colors and patterns. He had quickly realized that he and Blossom were complete opposites. She was mainly white with green and he was mostly black with red. The thought didn't bother him so much. Although the overwhelming desire to pass on his bloodline was gone, a soft spot remained for the young doe, not an intimate love, but a considerable fondness nonetheless. Even if the kid turned out to be less than desirable, he'd still love it. 'I should find them all some nice juicy meat today. Perhaps voles or squirrels. We have rabbit too much, they're probably tiring of them.' The woods around their valley was full of the little critters. Finding enough to feed them all wouldn't be too difficult.
His attention snapped back to the kid before him. "Don't forget about how wet you'll get." He teased. "Snow is frozen water. your body heat will melt it and you'll be looking like a drowned rat in no time." He was suddenly feeling very playful and, ignoring the thought of keeping up a dignified air, leaped up and headbutted Takuo just hard enough to knock him over into the snow.
Endie stared at her paws. Sam had woken her up with his shouting, but she didn't want to be awake yet so she feigned sleep. She liked Sam, he was sweet, but harem life was difficult for her and she much preferred her alone time. She could feel the beginnings of life stirring in her belly and she was anxious to free herself from the confines of her group, but she was much too worried about offending the ram so she waited, hoping he'd offer the chance to leave. She had been lucky this time. Usually, the rams insist on 'making sure' before leaving a doe be. Sam had almost seemed to forget about that pretty quickly, but he had been efficient enough to serve his purpose before the end of the siv.
Once she was sure he was gone, she uncurled herself and yawned, hoping the other two wouldn't notice that she wasn't fresh from her slumber. Does were easier for her to handle, plus they were easier to talk to about her one love in life, kids. Rams weren't usually as fun to discuss such things with and they never knew how to share advice on carrying the little bundles. It was work they'd never know.

“It is fine,” Kapira said, smiling at the colored elder. She hadn’t really gotten to know any of the elders yet, she had mostly talked to Blossom and Kila. “I guess I was looking for someone to talk to,” she admitted, beginning to think of what she would have done if the ram she recalled as Guru hadn’t shown up. Shifting uncomfortably as something inside the ram made a popping sign, she nodded as he talked again. “I am Kapira, and I came to this herd with Kila. I could tell you my story if you want,” Kapira said, trying very hard not to get lost in her thought train while holding a conversation.
Kila nodded as she watched Sam run off, amused by his playfulness. "So, what do we pregnant does do?" she asked out of her usually quiet character, feeling energetic because of the coldness surrounding her. She shook her fur again, trying to rid it off the snowflakes that were now beginning to melt.

"Ah, Kila." Guru nodded, showing that he recognized the name. It sparked his curiosity. From what he knew, Kila was a very shy doe. He wondered how it was that the two had come to find eachother, if they weren't complete social butterflies. Then again, he didn't want to guess, since he didn't know a whole lot about either. A story sounded good though. Guru had grown up on stories, and told a good many himself, it would be interesting to hear one about a Goennec that existed in the present day. "Of course, I would love to hear your story." He replied with a thoughful smile.

Garnet smiled fondly at Takuo, watching him in the snow. Snow was such a strange thing. It was solid, but could be moulded into different shapes. It was cold, and it melted on her tongue. It fell from the sky and blanketed the ground, making all the blades of grass disappear. Such a strange thing. She suddenly spotted Endie nearby and half smiled. She didn’t remember saying hello to this doe, and she seemed kind enough. Getting to her paws, she trotted towards the pretty doe and smiled. She could see that Endie had only just woken, or so it seemed. “Morning!” She said in an enthusiastic tone. Her eyes shone with excitement at the prospect of making a new friend, and perhaps they also sparkled the less pure prospect of having more attention. “Oh, I’m Garnet,” She added, “What are you called?”

He shivered again, but managed to get himself a little nap. He dreamed a little bit, but wasn't really into it because he was in sleep and out of sleep. He was lucky to get that much sleep, because Milky Way had woken up. He felt a warm nose nuzzle his cold stomach along with a small shriek . Slowly lifting his head, he drowsily said, "Wha?"

She jump a bit, startled by a voice she had not expected to hear. Endie turned her large violet eyes on the doe. She was a bit perplexed and a bit saddened. "Y-you don't remember m-me, Garnet?" She suddenly felt much smaller than normal. Maybe she should have just let it be. She didn't want to make the other feel bad, the question had just snuck out. It was probably her own fault anyway. There wasn't much she considered interesting or noteworthy about herself. She tensed and averted her eyes, waiting for her reply.

A feather tickled his nose. He scrunched it up, hoping the feather would go away. For some reason, another feather joined it. And another. The feathers where all cold. And slightly wet. Blinking, Roshan opened his eyes to a world covered in snow. Ohh. That's right. Roshan had forgotten that the snow was falling through the haze of sleep and dreams, but when he woke, it was as if he had re-entered a world of endless white. Peering up, the young ram saw the black and white form of Stargazer. "Hey, Stargazer!" The violet eyes blinked once more as Roshan got up to his feet, laughing a little. "It's so white! We msut stand out so much, compared to some of the others in the herd!" Laughing a little more, the ram looked closer at Stargazer. "I'm sorry. Are you hungry? Of course you probably are. What was I thinking? Should I go hunt? Or would you want to come with me?" Roshan frowned, then said in a voice so serious it would be hard for any onlookers not to laugh, "I'm babbling. I'll shut up now." The ram prefered the spring and summer weather for a few reasons. Those included where that in those months, the sun was out, and closer to the ground, keeping it warmer. Also, there where a lot more bright colors. Sure, the snow reflected the sun, making it shiny, but the white got boring after a while. Roshan thought it was fun to see all the different colors of the sky, the flowers, animals, etc. And also, he was relatively sure by the look on her face that Stargazer wasn't ultimately impressed with winter. (I'll post for Alaska later, once Rain posts for Kaze)

Svartur watched the Prime and Takuo, feeling a pang of loneliness in his heart. During the Siv, he had shut himself off from all the others, just getting along by surviving and living in almost complete silence. He had once or twice spoken to Garnet, after shedding his annoyance towards her. Kila had been right, of course, and they were practically best friends again. Though, to Svartur’s disappointment, Garnet had met other Goennecs in the herd and he was no longer the one and only. With a small sigh, he took a few tentative steps forwards before trotting closer to T. He smiled, though he had to force himself, and sat down. “Hi,” He said in a soft voice, “Wanna play?” As he spoke, his voice grew louder and more confident, and his posture and body language became more and more confident too. Speaking seemed like a wonderful gift at this very moment, and he wanted to cherish it. If he made friends, perhaps Garnet would grow jealous and spend more time with him, and if he made friends, he would have something to do, and Takuo would also reap the rewards. It was a win-win situation, both for the little ram and T.
Garnet let out a small noise of worry, for she did not remember Endie at all. Was she supposed to? She shook her head and thought hard, squeezing her eyes closed as she racked her brains for any sight of the doe before. After a minute or so, she realized who the doe was. She had seen her before.. “Ahh…” The auburn doe murmured, “Now I remember you…sort of.” She smiled again, realizing her face had dropped when the doe had replied earlier. “Endie, yes? I remember you from the Siv, though I don’t think I’ve ever really spoken to you….” She added. Her voice made herself sound slightly unsure of each thing she said, though after going over what she had said, Garnet nodded. She was practically tripping over her words now. After taking a deep breath to pull herself together, the doe sat down. “Sorry about that. My memory is mushy due to the little kid I will be having soon,” She said, nodding to her stomach. It was the perfect excuse. “Anyway, I just came over to say hi. I don’t really know who to talk to around here sometimes, and you looked…lonely, so here I am! How are you?” She asked, shaking away the small flakes of snow from her coat.

{{Gahh, I'm posting, I'm posting. XD; Sorry, my posts are kind of fail right now, eheh}}
Kaze grinned and flicked his ears, the feathery snow swirling through the air around him. "Well, that's great to hear!" He laughed, then paused as she continued. "No, it's fine, hunting sounds great," he said, then paused, considering something else. "You coming? Or should I just go?" He asked, emerald eyes shining. He loved hunting with Alaska; though the rush of Siv was over, he still enjoyed, almost more than anything, spending time with Alaska. She felt like a great friend to him, and the grey ram would have been ecstatic for the creamy white doe to come; yet, winter was coming, and soon the air would turn almost endlessly brisk, prey scarce and grasses rare and scraggly once found. Winters, though fun at first, or even through most the whole season...such as the ever-bouncing T, were harsh; and Kaze wanted to make sure they'd be alright.
~
"Brr!" Takuo exclaimed, dramatically shuddering, as if the very thought made him turn to ice. Tilting his head, he was about to ask 'It is?', before he remembered the silvery flakes that melted on his nose, and how delicious, icy, and fun they were to catch on his tongue; cold and...well, rather watery. then perked his ears as the Prime continued. He wrinkled his nose, trying to picture what the Prime described, then giggled as his wild imagination soared, thinking of a...quite exaggerated goey with sopping fur and dripping mane. "Whoa--" T yelped, as the ebony and scarlet ram grinned and bowled him over; gentle, yet with enough force to send him toppling over into a feathery drift of snow. "Brr!" he shivered, flicking his ears; his surprised expression almost instantly changing to an exuberant grin. "Hey!" he laughed, scrambling to his hooves and paws, lowering his still-growing horns and pawing the ground in a playful challenge; his eyes, though narrowed, shining with laughter and excitement. "I got you!" he cried, leaping forward through the snow and attempting to tackle...well...at least, ram into Devarsi; though, since he was still very young, harmlessly and just for play. He giggled, then perked his ears as he heard a voice behind him. He turned, forgetting just for a moment the 'battle', and cheerily called out to him. "Hi!" He exclaimed, bouncing from paw-to paw as the other kid spoke. The tan kid hadn't seen him much, though he had spoken once or twice before; or spotted him with the older, ember-colored doe, Garnet. "Yeah, come on!" he replied, clearly ecstatic at the thought of making a new friend. He was almost as outgoing as goennecs could come, always bubbling with energy, and eager to play and have fun. With a grin, he turned, and lowered his stubs of horns, inviting him to join in the playfight. "What are you waiting for?" he asked, his eyes shining.

Alaska considered Kaze's question for a moment. Sure, it was cold out, and it was a bit of a pain to hunt in the snow, but Alaska was very used to it. Her coat blended brilliantly into the soft flakes that surrounded them, making it harder for prey to spot her. "Count me in. It's been too long since I've had a good hunt in the snow." Blinking, she turned to face the emerald-eyed ram, and winked, adding, "Plus, I'd like to see how you do with that coat of yours." Laughing to indicate that it was meant harmlessly, or as a joke, the doe moved closer to Kaze, rubbing her cheek against his. It was warm and firm, compared to the white world around them, and it gave Alaska a center in the ice to hold onto. She smiled, her blue eyes electrifying against the snow. /Fail

Svartur’s eyes sparkled with excitement. He took a step back, lowering his horns so they faced Takuo. Though he was still young, his horns were more developed than T’s. They weren’t sharp yet, but they were beginning to grow day by day. He pawed at the ground in anticipation and laughed softly. “You can have the first move,” He told T. He was worried that if he made the first move, he would perhaps hurt the kid. He planted himself firmly in the ground and smiled. “And then, we can go hide in the snow!” He exclaimed.

Dew continued following her white 'friend' around, the two still bickering nonstop. Why was she even bothering with Blossom she had no idea. The doe was no longer that lonesome kid they had met over a year ago. She was a full grown young doe, now expecting a kid, from the Prime no less. Not only that, but she was in nickname terms with him. She wondered if it was jealousy, but she quickly placed the thought out of her mind, as no doe could cause her jealousy. After all, it was they who should be jealous of her.
Looking up, Dew realized the white doe had her eyes on something else, and as she turned her head to look, she noticed Garnet speaking to one of the peasants of the herd, someone fitting of Sam for sure, oblivious to the other two does in the company of Endie it seemed. Blossom's eyes seemed to be more focused on Hannie and Kila than on the other two, and she motioned her head for Blossom to follow as she headed towards them. Ignoring the grunt of protest that Blossom made, Dew walked up to them in time to listen to an obvious excuse Garnet was using for not remembering Endie. A wide smirk appeared on her face, and her obnoxious drawl came forth, her blue eyes glinting with a bit of mischief and malice. "Oh come now Garnet. You mean to tell me that you are already forgetting things so early in your expectancy? Best be careful darling, wouldn't want others to think that you have a head only for yourself," her smirk had changed to a pleasant smile the second she had started speaking, and she sat down next to the others, ignoring if she was invited to join in on the conversation or not.
Eyes rolling Blossom flashed a glare at Dew. "Sounds like something you would do," she muttered, shaking her head in disapproval. She turned her attention from Dew to Hannie and Kila, and she bowed her head in greeting, a small smile on her face. "It's been a while," she said, knowing she had been avoiding Sam and his harem since she had left it, glad she had, as it seemed to have made his harem grow to be one of the biggest in the herd. "How have you been?" she asked, her tail flicking slightly and a twinkle in her eye as Dew flashed a hidden glare at her, finally making sense of what she had just said.

“It’s sorta long though,” Kapira said shyly, shuffling a hoof in the snow. Seeing Guru’s smile she smiled back, a bit more encouraged. “Well, until my first birthday I lived in my birth herd. I wasn’t really like anyone else and I think I scared them. My momma was….I guess she didn’t like that I was different. So she asked me to leave.” Kapira talked about her herd kindly, using the word ‘asked’ to leave instead of ‘told’. “So I left, and after a few weeks I kinda ran into Kila. I came with her here.”
Kapira smiled when she finished, swishing her tail to rid it of the few snowflakes that were hanging on so determinedly. “And that’s all,” she said; though in reality her story could have been explained in much greater detail.
“Hey Blossom,” Kila said with a gentle smile. From the time Blossom had taken time to get to know Kapira, Kila had carried a special fondness of her. Kila didn’t offer any other words, though. She knew that Hannie would start a conversation if one was to come. Since the Siv was over Kila had reverted to her former self; talking only when absolutely necessary, or to be polite. Even now, though, she could sometimes surprise you by talking.

Guru listened to Kapira speak, his body stiff as if he were made of stone, only blinking and twitching an ear from time to time to show that he was listening. *Different* He shuffled suddenly, desperately trying to fight off the temptation to ask what she meant by that. Usually, when he asked for further information that wasn't given in the first place... Well, he didn't want to press for information.
"Ah, how unusual." He said, swishing his tail in a thoughtful way. Maybe if he could just be tricky about asking... "Perhaps my ears are not as sharp as they once were, but you say they were afraid of you?" He wondered if she meant that they were afraid of her for some reason other than color. Even in his own birth herd, having flowery like spring colors was considered a good thing. When he had moved to join Devi's herd (though Devi wasn't the Prime at the time), he'd thought all the others looked unusual, with their darker colors, so many blacks, browns and reds. At first he had even wondered if they were dark hearted as well. But it was not so, and he was able to retire in peace. What could a herd possibly have to fear from a mere kid?
Milkyway dropped back onto her haunches. She almost looked startled to see him react at all. But then, being an expecting doe, she often worried too much about things. It occured to her suddenly that perhaps he was not as cold as she had thought, and that he was breathing more than she had noticed. Now she'd woken him up for nothing. "Oh, I'm sorry!" She breathed a little sigh of relief, mixed with guilt. Milky could have groaned, she was trying too hard and she knew it. But sometimes, being a cautious doe who liked to care for everything, it was hard to help. "For a moment I thought... " The black doe paused for a moment, to gaze fondly at her sleepy eyed mate. "I suppose I'm worrying too much, are you alright?" With the passing of the Siv, her voice was finally beginning to lower back towards it's normal pitch, a bit deeper than her twin sister's, but with surprise it seemed to jump back up again for a moment.
Stargazer turned her head to see Roshan better, and could not help but smile at the way he spoke. For a moment he sounded so energetic, talking at a rate that made her think twice to make sure she understood. And then, so suddenly it took her by surprise, his tone changed dramatically. She hadn't heard him sound so serious before... Her smile dissapeared, and she couldn't help but look slightly startled. Stargazer felt the need to reassure him that he wasn't babbling. She was entirely unused to being cared for in the first place, and had to think for a moment on how to respond. Her black and white eyes blinked slowly, her body still with just the wind gently ruffling her white mane. "You're not..." She sniffed, bending her head downward as she lifted herself onto furry black legs. "You're not babbling." She smiled in what she hoped was a reassuring way, though more of it showed in her eyes than from her up curved mouth. "Actually Roshan, I am a bit hungry, and I'd love to accompany you. Though I probably won't be much good for anything but an audience."

Devi welcomed the second kid to join in their play. He was happy to see such happiness and it reminded him of his younger days with Sam. He missed the days the two had spent playing in the snow and fields. He gave Takuo a reassuring nudge towards his young challenger. "Go get 'im T" He laughed.
Although there was tension between the two new additions to the conversation, and no doubt would be tension between all three of the other soon, Endie was relieved that she wasn't the focus anymore. She quickly nodded a greeting to the does, but kept her mouth shut. She didn't want to be rude and interrupt. She'd wait until she was asked to speak, until then, she'd busy herself with trimming the grasses around her.

Katili sulked. No, she did more than sulk. For lack of strong enough words, she epically sulked. Another Siv, another year of lifelessness in her belly. She was starting to doubt anyone would desire her, especially with her inability to help the herd increase its numbers. Never would she be able to raise an aspiring Prince. Never would she be an elder ewe, sitting back and watching her daughter ewe get in the Prime's harem. No, she was stuck being the childless, lonely wretch that disgraced the herd.
Fine. She could take that.
After several hours of watching the gravid ewes, she wandered to the river, and, with a cruel smirk and new light in her eyes, began devising a huge prank, not really bothering to hide her actions- the ewes would most likely be too busy nuzzling their big, bloated bellies and mush-talking their rams into getting them the best dandelions. Pfft.
Bitter ewe is bitter and hilarious, I know. xD
