Hannie was dozing in a quiet patch of sun near the stream; she wasn't too far from the herd, close enough that she could return quickly, but far enough that the only sound was the gurgling stream and the chirp of birds. Watching the other kids being born was making her both excited and nervous... They were all so adorable and perfect, but what if there was something wrong with hers? Was it supposed to take so long to be born? She jolted awake with a soft gasp as a sharp pain shot through her belly. She started scrambling to her feet, wondering if something was attacking her, before sinking to the ground again as she realized what was happening. Minutes later, she lay with a happy smile, licking the little bundle of fur next to her. The little boy reminded her of Sam; she didn't doubt he would have his daddys personality. The little boy was trying to get up and wobble on his spindely little legs, nudging at her belly to nurse. She watched him, thinking there was nothing more perfect in the world. "Oh! You need a name!" she realized. Nothing came to mind as she watched the little grey kid. "what do you think, any name ideas?" she asked him softly. The kid looked up at the sound of her familiar voice, his eyes bright and a little milk on his chin. "Za-hup!" he hiccuped a few times, startling himself. "Zup... Good choice," she said, the silly sounding name actually fitting him perfectly. "Zuppae... my little baby Zup."

"Mama?" Typhoon called, prancing forward on slightly unsteady feet. "Can we do somethin?" The young ram looked pleadingly up at his mother, his green eyes shining. Alaska peered down at her child, immensly proud of how fast he was learning. As he looked up at her with his large eyes that reminded her so much of Kaze, she nodded. "Of course we can do something, Ty! Just what do you want to do? Do you want to go find your father, or find another youngling to play with, or...?" Alaska's voice trailed off as Typhoon nodded at the second option. "I guess we'll have to wait until your father gets back in order to see him. Let's go see who we can find for you to play with."
Not too long after, the pair approached Endie, Olympia, and Sam. "Hello there! I do hope we aren't intruding on anything. If we are, please feel free to let us know. I was just wondering if Olympia is up to playing with Ty, seeing as he was growing a bit bored." The blue-eyed doe looked at the trio, inwardly sighing. She really needed to get to know others in the herd better. It would make doing things like this less awkward. "Open up a bit, Alaska. Make some friends." She whispered the last to herself. A splash echoed around the river as a violet-tinted figure dove into the water. Laughing as he surfaced, Roshan shook out his long mane, droplets of water splattering the sunning rock off to the left. Taking a deep breath, he plunged back under the surface, swimming a few paces through the water against the current. Hoping his coat wouldn't look quite so dirty any longer, he hopped out of the water, flicking his forelock from his bright eyes. Looking around, he quickly located Stargazer and Echo. Upon reaching them, he gave the black and white doe whom he had fallen in love with a winning smile before peering down at his daughter. "And just how is my favorite girl? Well, one of my favorites," he said, with a wink to Stargazer.

Lavantia felt a slight discomfort in her belly, unsure of wether it was from standing to long she laid down. Several minute later a healthy female kid was suckling as Lavantia licked her dry. She looked down at the little spotted kid trying to figure out a name for her. Then she blinked and chuckled to herself, 'My beauty you will be called Fawn.' That settled she laid her head on her paws to rest and recoup her strength.
Sunrise looked for Lavantia but didn't see her, worried because of what had happened with Blossoms kids earlier in the birthings she wondered if she should find Talahasi. She saw his spotted coat but he was headed away from her, 'Is he going to find her himself?' thought Sunrise. Then with that comforting thought in mind she began grazing.
Talahasi looked around, but didn't see her. He did however smell her, and another unfamiliar scent. Eyes widening he took of in that direction. When he got to where Lavantia was his eyes widened, as did his smile. He had a beautiful daughter. Her mane was white and she was speckled like him with her mothers eyes. He watched proudly as she drank, smiling. "Whats her name?" he asked as Lavantia looked up.
"It's Fawn." she said with a smile. He chuckled and looked at the little kid.
"It suits her well." he said with a smile.
(Sorry late post is late ^.^; havent felt well this week; i may have made an error on this post when i said he smelled her XD; im not shure if hed be able to smell her depending on how far away she is)

"Daaadddd!" Echo began to bound up and down the moment she saw her father. The little doe was always easily excited, but it made her particularly happy to see Roshan. In her opinion, rams were much more fun than does because they didn't seem as cautious. She beamed, her ears twitching. "Is a good day?" Stargazer let out a laugh, teeth flashing against dark fur, "We're both fine actually. This one-" She nudged Echo, who stumbled slightly but didn't seem to mind and continued to make happy squeaking noises, "Is almost as energetic as you!" Stargazer would always be a bit of a skeptic about the way the herd worked and the role of does within it, but even she had to admit that it was nice to feel useful when there wasn't anything particularly dramatic happening.
"I'll tell you all about them, I promise." MilkyWay said, and glanced around before responding to Riall's question, "Kind of. That is what stars look like though. It's how I got my name, and that's something else I'll have to tell you about later." She teased gently, "But for now, how about we go find a friend for you to play with? I've been meaning to get to know Kila a bit better, I'm sure you'd have fun with Jay." She looked around again for a moment before locating the two, "Ah! There they are! I'll race you Riall, the winner gets an apple the next time I find one."

"Look, look," Jay said excitedly, rearing on his hind legs. He watched the two figures racing toward them, and trotted circles around Kila. Finally he stood still, panting as he watched. "Play?" he asked Kila, turning to look at his mother with innocent eyes. By now, he was almost quivering in excitement, the prospect of meeting someone new almost too much to handle.
Kila followed Jay's gaze, seeing MilkyWay and Riall coming toward them. She watched Jay circle her, an amused look on her face. "I suppose," she said in answer to Jay's question, walking forward to nuzzle his cheek. The sun shone on Jay's coat, causing him to look more innocent than ever. "Try to be nice," Kila said, giving Jay an affectionate lick. Jay's only reply was a small flick of his tail; causing Kila to laugh. Once again she returned her gaze to the Goey's getting nearer, a warm smile on her face.

Riall admired her pelt, then her mind whirled as her mother mentioned another story, but of course, she would have to wait for it. For some reason everyone had to wait for everything, something she wasn't fond of, but didn't mind either. As soon as her mother mentioned play, her eyes widened with excitement and she noticed who her mother was motioning to. A young blue and grey ram who looked about her age. She was excited and started running before her mother officially started the race. Even though Riall got quite the head start, her mother easily caught up and beat her by just a little, even though she called it a 'tie'. As soon as she caught her breath she smiled sweetly at Kila and Jay, "Hi, my name is Riall." Her voice flowed smoothly, with a bit of charm to it.

A little bit later, after watching and assisting her little Zup in stumbling around, he could (mostly) walk by himself. He bleated in triumph, sensing that he had accomplished something. Hannie grinned, chuckling at his behavior, before deciding to head back to the herd; it was safer for him if they were with the herd. She nudged him along, guiding him in the right direction when he got a little braver and tried to walk ahead of her (while he mostly just followed after her). She breathed a sign of relief she hadn't realized she was holding in when she saw the first of the herd-members. Incidentally, the members she had happened upon were none other than Sam, Endie, and Oli. She smiled softly, but noticed they were already talking, and slowed down a little -she didn't want to interfere. Zup wobbled around on this thin little legs, curious to go see the other creatures that were standing nearby; this world was so bright, so many things to see! He loved it.

The warm sunlight shone gently down from between the wispy clouds, warming Kaze's rime-grey fur, and filling the air with a sense of happiness and joy. He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the light breeze ruffle his fur, as if promising adventure. Shaking himself, he perked his ears as he heard a rustle from a nearby bush, and crouched down, hidden under the cover of the trees that surrounded the valley...his home. Narrowing his emerald green eyes, he paused, pinpointing the location of the prey, then spotted it, the dusty-brown fur of a squirrel flashing between the undergrowth. Hind legs tensed, he waited a moment more, then leapt forward, landing squarely on the creature's tail, catching it. Breathing a sigh of relief, he leaned down and clamped his jaws around the squirrel, glad that he was able to catch it, along with the plump squirrel he had managed to catch earlier. Kids were being born already, and he needed to make sure Alaska had plenty of nourishment, along with their kid, once he...or she was born. He felt happiness flood him as he thought of Alaska, the same warm feeling he always felt when he was around her. She was definitely his best friend, and he loved her. That he knew more than anything in the world.
Gathering the squirrel and rabbit in his jaws, he bounded forward, shaking a stray leaf from his fur. The warm weather flooded him with excitement and happiness--pure energy. He leapt through the feathery grass, then spotted Alaska not far away. He smiled through the prey, and slowed his steps, realized that she wasn't alone. A young kid, pale grey and black, stood next to her on wobbly legs, investigating the world. Eyes wide, Kaze felt his heart skip a beat, and nearly dropped the prey he was holding. He paused, shifting his grip so he didn't drop the bundle. "Uhahku?" (Alaska) he murmured, a grin dancing in his eyes as he bounded over, nearly tripping over his hooves. He slowed his steps as he neared her, and dropped the prey in a bed of feathery grass. Eyes warm, he reached forward to nuzzle her ear, then spotted the young kid next to her, deep emerald eyes bright...his son. Lost for words, he hung back for a moment, wanting to nuzzle him and welcome the little one to the world, but waited for Alaska to allow him to greet his son.

Roshan laughed happily, nuzzling his daughter's cheek. "Yes, it is a good day!" Looking up at Stargazer once more, he felt his heart flutter. It always did that when he was around the enchanting and dark doe. "Well, that's good. Did you have anything going on at the moment? Because I was thinking we could go find someone for little Echo to play with. What do you think?" Roshan smiled quizzically, always happy to hear what Stargazer had to say. When Alaska saw Kaze approaching, she filled with joy. Quickly licking Typhoon between his eyes so that his fur wouldn't look quite so rumpled, she smiled. "Hello, Kaze. Come to meet your son, I see? His name is Typhoon. Ty, say hi to your father!" Ty looked up at the ram that had come to stand with them. At first, the little goennec was curious as to who it was, but didn't really care. So far in Typhoon's short life, he liked everyone. "Fadder?" He giggled, his green eyes shining as he tried out the word.

Not paying much attention to what Blossom was saying, Devi looked the strangers up and down, determining them both to be fairly young does. Neither seemed to show signs of aggression, nor where they acting suspiciously. He relaxed a little, just in time to hear that Sihir had liked them. "You shouldn't have brought them in without asking me first Blossom." he said sternly. "What if they're dangerous?" He almost smiled at seeing the twin's playful antics as they roughhoused, but he managed to keep his hard expression, reminding himself that there was some serious business to attend to.
"DA!" Oli practically screamed, right into her mother's ear in response to Sam. She hopped around Endie's startled legs and broke into an uncoordinated, sloppy run towards the large gray ram. Her little hooves digging awkwardly into the soft ground under her inexperienced legs. Sam was, by far, her favorite playmate. She felt important with the strong ram, the one who she'd been told beat the prime during the last siv. She would soon know this feeling to be pride, something she would hold very tightly onto in coming years. For now, her simple want to play with him was all she could think of.
The combination of Sam's booming greeting and Oli's excited squeal nearly made the poor nervous doe jump right out of her hooves. She took a moment to recover a normal heart rate before nodding and swishing her tail in a silent greeting to the ram. She started after her daughter, watching her flail in all her excitement. Her annoyance at such a loud disruption from her grazing melted away and she giggled a little at her young kid. She heard another greeting from not too far off. Another doe with her kid. She recognized them as Alaska and Typhoon. Her shyness got the best of her and though she stopped and sent them a tentative tail-wag greeting, she said nothing, hoping Sam would welcome them to join in.

A small frowned crossed Blossom's face, but it was quickly substituted with a somewhat more sympathetic look. "I know you have to think about the danger they could be to the herd, but I couldn't just let them be. It's not easy, being alone and in new territory," she explained, walking up to him and standing beside him, looking over to the two does that were in his line of sight. She turned back to look at him, and she twitched her ear curiously, noticing he had relaxed. "Do you want me to turn them away then?" she asked, a small hint of mischief in her eyes, knowing that Devi wouldn't be so cold hearted.
"Oli!" Sam yelled, getting into a playful stance, allowing his horns to meet his daughter gently. A voice greeting close by shook his attention away from his daughter for an instance, and he realized that Alaska and his son were close by. "Alaska! What brings you here? And hello there Typhoon! Been getting into enough trouble lately?" he asked, a massive grin on his face as he did so, his childish and ever playful demeanor shining through.
He noticed that Kaze walked up towards them, and drove the attention of both the kid and the doe away from him, so he merely shrugged and bent down to his daughter again. "Well Oli, whatcha wanna do today? Wanna go out cause some trouble with ol Sam?" he asked, his eyes twinkling. He knew that Oli didn't get to play much due to Endie's shyness, so he liked to take care of her for a bit every now and then. His gaze turned to the doe, his eyes questioning to make sure it was alright with her.

Stargazer hardly had to think in order to come up with a response to Roshan's question. She was of course very fond of Echo, but did get rather tired of having the young doe use her as a playground. Her tail in particular had a nearly constant throb from being tugged on. "I have no plans. That's a great idea!" She grinned, amused by his quizzical smile. "Got any ideas? I haven't really walked around much, so I don't know which kids could use a playmate." She admitted. Echo didn't really catch a good bit of what was being said, but she understood enough to know that this had something to do with 'play', which she always enjoyed. "Play? Play!" She hopped up and down, "I want to play."

((I've never seen a snowflake :3))
Garnet lay down, her eyes half closed as she relaxed in the snow. She could see Devi and some other does further away, but she hadn't the energy nor the will to go investigate. She remained laying down, conciousness about to slip away from her when she felt a pain in her stomach. It wasn't like the pain that she felt when her child kicked, soft and welcomed, it was another sort of pain, more urgent, stronger. She didnt make a sound, but laid down, worry shooting through her. It was then that she understood what was happening and calmed down. Her child had decided it was time. Smiling to herself, she closed her eyes and let the kid be born at his own pace.
-Miniature Time Skip-
Garnet sat up and stared down at the small brown kid on the ground. He was beautiful, and was sure to be handsome. His tiny hooves were an auburn red colour, and his mane was a beautiful cream colour. His fur was flecked with lighter brown hues, and the doe could only smile. "Baltyka," She murmured, nosing him softly towards her stomach, "Come here." [/color]

"I'm Jay," Jay said proudly, puffing his chest as he took a step toward Riall. Stumbling, the small ram landed head first in the grass. Scrambling back up to his feet, Jay again looked at the young doe, smiling in attempt to gain his pride. "Play?" Jay asked, turning to look at his mother; hoping to gain her acceptance of this notion. His body trembled in excitement, the earlier fall already out of his mind. Jay hadn't gotten to play with many other kids yet, because of Kila's non-talkative nature. Playing with Riall would be a exciting experience for him.
Kila smiled at the two kids, suppressing a laugh as Jay stumbled. She watched him with a glimmer in her eye; enjoying to watch him interact with another kid. "Yes, you can play," Kila said with an amused chuckle, looking over at Riall's mom. Kila wished she knew more Goennecs so that Jay would have more playmates. She didn't, though, so every opportunity Jay had to play with others was embraced.

Riall took in Jay's name and placed it in her memory. He was quite the charmer, until she saw him trip and fall flat on his face. She let a little chuckle slip, but when she saw him eagerly get up, she couldn't help but smile. When he asked for his permission, she eagerly waited for his mother to reply so they could go play in the meadow. When Kila said yes, she squealed with joy. This would be her first playmate and date! She was so excited to play games and have fun. She nipped at his mane, "C'mon! I'll race you to the fluffy grass!" Eagerly pawing at the ground, all she wanted to do at that point was go and play! Beebie shuffled as the two, obvious to Beebie's eyes, talked. The male, also known as the Prime, seemed tense, as though he thought Doe and I were dangerous subjects. Blossom was quite the opposite, though, from what Beebie could see. Her eyes were soft, except for mischief of some sort. She looked over at Doe and whispered so softly that Beebie might be the only one to hear, "Do you think he'll let us stay?"

Doe almost jumped as the silence was broken, her eyes turning to the female who had just spoken. Beebie had a worried look on her face, and she knew that she needed someone to reassure her, however, no words escaped her. She turned her head back to the Prime, and she could tell that he was looking their way, but that in itself was something that made the fur of her mane stand on end. The only reason a Prime would ever look at a doe was to expel her from the herd, or to give her a severe punishment. The white doe that they had met seemed very comfortable for this to be the case, but this was the only sort of reaction that Doe had ever needed, fear.
Hear ears flattened, and she shook her head, looking down with a shrug. Still unused to talking as a first option, Doe remained quiet, but let Beebie know that she was not sure. Their fate pretty much lay in the Prime's paws, her fate. The thought of the Prime once more balancing her future made her lips curl back a little in shame, and she was grateful she was looking down, otherwise, quite an ugly sight she must have been.

Kaze smiled at Alaska, feeling flooded with warmth, and nodded. He nuzzled her ear, murmuring, "That's a wonderful name!" Grinning, he nodded as he turned back to little Ty, a feeling of happiness in the air, making him feel as if could fly; soar between the feathery-white clouds and azure horizon. But he knew he didn't ever want anything else than what he had. "Hey, Ty," he greeted, grinning, before leaning down to greet his son, eyes warm and shining.
"This is so boring!" Takuo murmured, collapsing onto his hind hooves in a huff. He had hought that with more kids around it would be more fun, but they were so little! He doubted that they'd want to play with him yet, and his front paws itched to explore and have fun. But with all of the does and rams, even some other kids just murmuring together and greeting the new herdmembers, he felt utterly alone. Okay, maybe utterly was too extreme a word, but he was bored! And rarely was the little tan kid, T, bored. Sighing, he shook his fur, feeling the light breeze tickle his mane, and scrambled upwards, deciding he would find something fun to do. Just the thought made him give a happy bounce in anticipation, and he scanned his surroundings from the grassy hills where he stood, to where a group of other goennecs--Kaze, Sam, and Alaska among them--and finally decided to venture closer and explore around the river.
Giving an eager flick of his silky ebone mane, he reared up on his hind hooves and batted the air with his front paws, as if charging into an adventure. His mane had grown over the winter, and his horns had as well, though they were still somewhat small. He felt the breeze ruffle his mane, and filled with a new energy. "Wahoo!" He cried, and leaped forward, the spring sun warming his fur.
Takuo scrambled down the rise, then stumbled as his front paw caught on a smooth stone, and he landed in a heap in a patch of wildflowers. Giggling, he shook himself, and scrambled upwards, golden eyes shining with laughter, and continued forward towards the river, until the cool, springy grass turned to pebbles beneath his paws and hooves. Leaning down, he took a few quick licks from the crystally water, feeling th eicy droplets on his tongue. Giggling, he shook himself and looked up, then backed up a few paces, before pausing on the bank.
"Wahooooo!" he cried, and bounded forward, before landing with a splash in the river, sending a few droplets spiraling towards the bank where the goeys had gathered. Holding his breath, he thrust his front paws through the water, feeling his fur swishing in the current. Eyes squeezed shut, he gave a kick with his hind paws and broke the surface, mane dripping and droplets splattering his fur. Shaking his head, he blinked open his eyes, then broke out in a fit of giggles, golden eyes shining with laughter.

Seeing the look on Blossom's face, Devi knew she must have thought them over the same way he would have if he had been the one to greet them first. He sighed and relaxed. He doubted very much that he'd find any reason to turn either one away, but tradition told him he should question them himself anyway. "Alright, bring them up here to see me." If he was going to let her take such charge, he certainly wasn't going to let on that he wasn't the one making the decision and of course, just to make himself feel more important he wasn't going to be going to them.
Oli was ecstatic, her daddy wanted to play with her and she didn't even have to bug him for it. She hopped happily about him, and met his horns with an energetic butt, though her small size and untrained muscles didn't offer much power to it. "Yea Da! Tubble!" She bleated, obviously ready to get going.
Endie was almost relieved to see Alaska and her son distracted by Kaze. She liked Alaska, but Endie always felt awkward around the other quiet doe. She wished she where more outgoing and talked more, then maybe she would feel more confident around Alaska and all the other potentially friendly does. She looked back towards Sam and, seeing him questioning her for some time with Oli, smiled and nodded with a satisfied swish of her tail. There weren't many Goennecs she'd trust with one of her kids, but their fathers were always at the top of her trust list. Now she could look forward to some quiet time grazing while Sam watched Oli.

As she looked up again, Doe saw Blossom padding towards them, a calm look in her eyes. Her ears swiveled forward, wondering what the news were. It was odd, seeing her look so calm after having just talked to the Prime. She wondered if this was something normal in the entire herd or just a quirk the strange white doe possessed. Her head tilted in question as she arrived, her way of asking Blossom if they were to stay or leave. She noticed that the little ones had stayed with the Prime, one of them batting his tail, the other one looking up at him with a questioning look on his face as he turned from looking at him to look at his mother simultaneously.
Blossom didn't seem to mind her kids staying with the Prime, which made her relax a little. A mother at ease with her kids was always a good thing.
Walking towards the does, Blossom felt happy, knowing that Devi had listened to her pleas. Sending two does away, especially two so young, seemed like too unkind an act for her. As she approached, she saw the spotted one that went by the name of Doe tilting her head, and she gave her a small smile. "Devarsi wishes to speak to you. Please, follow me," she told both of them in a kind voice, then turned around, guiding them towards the Prime.
A smile flashed on Sam's face and he then turned to the young goennec. "So tell me, Oli! What do you want to do today? Want to go play by the stream? Old Sam could use a stream, and we might find some other kids on the way. We could also give Endie some resting room," he boomed, the last part added with a hearty laugh, knowing that Endie needed some rest, not so much from caring for Oli, but from having to be around more goennecs than she liked.
