"I'm okay," Jay said sheepishly, looking at Riall for a moment; then at the ground. "Let's go," Jay said, pushing forward again, not dwelling on his fall. Soon he reached the fluffy grass that Riall had mentioned earlier, and let himself sprawl to the ground. He looked over his shoulder, wondering if the other kid was right behind him.
Kapira's white muzzle dipped into the river, then rose again as she had drank her fill. Backing a few steps from the water, she sat down, watching all the happenings of the herd. Kapira's eyes wandered from Goennec to Goennec, but stayed on the kids the most. There was something about them that made her happy, though she rarely had close contact with one. Without any reason to be closer, Kapi mostly sat and watched the herd from farther away.

A blank look crossed Dew's face as the silver stag met her gaze and proceeded to spouting the gibberish he had muttered when they had bumped into each other. Suddenly, one of the words made sense to her. Her ears perked up and she focused her attention fully on him, staring at his actions. He was pointing at himself as he spoke, and the word she was sure she had understood seemed to give him a bit of a trouble pronouncing. As he continued speaking, he pointed at her in turn, his voice clearly questioning.
Mercury? Why would he be speaking in such a strange way, and suddenly just say a random word I can understand? Unless...
"That's your name! Your name is Mercury!" she exclaimed in surprise. She was certain that no other goennec in the herd knew of this silver stag's past or his name for that matter, and if they did, they had not shared it. It was beginning to dawn on her that this goennec, this Mercury, understood as little of the herd as the herd did of him, and for a second, a glimpse of sympathy crossed the spotted doe's blue eyes. "Mercury," she said, signaling to him, her voice slow and emphasizing each syllable, just so that he knew she had understood him, or rather hoping that her assumption was correct.
Her mind turned to the last part he had said. He had signaled her at his last question. She was certain that if Mercury was his name, then he had asked for her. Following suit, she shifted her paw in a position that signaled herself. "Dew. My name is Dew."

Threonine watched them walk away, his head turning as he did so, but only slightly. He said nothing, and kept the almost cold blank look that his eyes usually had. "Hm." His tongue swiped across his nose, and he chuckled quietly. Nothing to worry about I see. Back to patrol. He didn't really need any commands, and trotted back towards Subira. He gave her a toothy grin, showing clearly that he had not been sent back, but had come of his own will, not being needed. She did not respond, but he thought she looked very slightly annoyed by his cocky attitude. "Don't be a sore loser." He teased, and sat down, looking out onto the herd once again. "Some day Subira, some day something really exciting is going to happen. This herd can't stay perfectly peaceful forever, but I think we'll be ready, we can cope."
"Of course we can." Subira replied, "Now stop being so strange. I'm going down to talk to Guru, now that there are so many kids around, he's asked that I give him a few stories so he'll have a fresh stock." She opened her mouth in a wide yawn, "Since I don't have any of my own, I've got plenty of free time for stories myself. I hear humans write theirs down somehow, so that they can see them or something instead of just tell them. Anyway, enjoy plotting your victory over nonexistant enemies." She threw a tease back and stood up, trotting away.
MilkyWay watched the kids play as well for a moment, she had missed seeing Jay fall, being momentarily distracted by something or other. But she looked at Kila when the other doe responded. "Ah, Kila." She liked the name, it was fun to say, but she didn't say so aloud, for it would be a strange thing to say, and she didn't want to appear strange. "Were you born in this herd? It seems like many of the goennecs seem to have come from other places, I'm afraid I'm not terribly familiar with much of the history of this herd." Actually, she had been a member of the herd ever since Devi had become Prime, because Threonine had been the one to let them tag along while he was traveling down from the mountains. Yet at the same time, she had not gotten many chances to speak with the other does, though she loved to gossip.

Mercury listened to her extremely closely, his ears and full attention directed at her. He got a bit of a shock has the doe suddenly exclaimed his name in what sounded like surprise, he nodded eagerly to confirm her in the assumption she was making. He gave her a beaming smile, very satisfied that finally he was understood in some manner. So concentarted he was in his celebration, that he almost missed her talking again. He just managed to make out his own name, she was addresing him. He watched closely as she shifted herself and made the same gesture as he had, pointing to herself with her hoof. There was no doubt of this doe's intelligence.
Dew, so that was her name. It sounded odd to him, as odd as the two other words she had spoken, but the fact taht she had repeated it made him sure. He got up again and made a deep bow, it was an odd gesture he had picked up from the zoo visitors, and Olek had said to him that it was some formal sign of aknowledgement and respect "Goddag Dew. De har et meget smukt navn! Dew... Det minder lidt om due, en fugl ser de, men jeg er sikker paa at det betyder noget andet i deres sprog(Hello Dew. You(formal version) have a very lovely name! Dew... It reminds me a bit of 'dove', a bird you see, but I am sure that it means something else in your tounge)" He spoke while bowing, his voice very respectful of her. Getting up again, he looked intently at her with his big eyes, he knew that she did not understand, how could she? But what if she caught at least a bit of his speech? There was no doubt that this was a clever one.

(Sorry for my long absence have been under the weather)
Lavantia coaxed fawn out of hiding, the spotted fawn was shy at first not wanting to go beyond her mothers legs. She watched the other Geoy's cautiously as she had only know her mothers touch so far. Unsure she tried to stay hidden behind her mother but Lavantia gave her a good nudge and sent her on her way. "Go play Fawn. I'll be right behind you." said Lavantia nudging her again. Fawn shook her head but then spotting an oddly Sunrise colered Geoy she decided to make friends. \ (will add to later_

((Lirrie, they aren't called geos. They are either goennec or goey.))
In response to Dew's actions, Mercury seemed to get exceedingly happy and excited, so much so that in Dew's eyes, he forgot that they could not understand each other, and he started babbling once more, this time with such speed and energy that the spotted doe could not even make out her name as he said it. Despite not being able to understand him, Dew couldn't help but smile as she shook her head at him. She kept on looking at him as he spoke, and for some reason thought of him as an overly exited kid who had just done his first hunt, or who had just won his first headbutting fight with another. "You really are a strange one, aren't you?" she said once more, trying to get up, feeling the need to get a drink of water. As she finally got up, she suddenly felt an intense pain on her side, and she grunted, caught unaware.
She knew that it had been close, she had been looking for a place to be alone in, but her chat with Mercury had actually distracted her. Dew fell on her side, the cramps getting to her as she felt the little one struggling inside of her. As she looked up, Mercury was still beside her, his face shock as his eyes looked like full moons on it. Uncomfortable, Dew's ears flattened a little, as she was not used to being watched as she gave birth. "No use asking for a little privacy, huh?" she asked, a small grin on her face despite the events, the pain not taking away her sense of humor, and the look on his face making her quite amused.

Kaze's deep emerald eyes glowed with ahppiness as he leaned over to nuzzle his son. Watching him for a moment longer as he scrambled after a butterfly, Kaze grinned, then looked back up at Alaska as she spoke, feeling flooded with happiness. Nuzzling her in return, laughter danced in his vibrant green eyes, lost for words, then just grinned.
Soaked, tan fur slicked and ebony mane spiked from the icy water droplets, Takuo scrambled over to the shore, half swimming, half sliding on the algae-coated river rocks, thoroughly drenched but high in spirits. He enjoyed the water and its cascading melody as it splashed among stones and reeds, though he most enjoyed splashing around, though it was the most fun with other kids. Eyes shining with laughter, the lanky kid scrambled up on the bank, panting but cheerful. His ebony mane had grown since the previous spring, some strands hanging in his eyes, and his horns, though still small, had as well, though his friendly attitude hadn't faded in the slightest. "Brrr!" Panting yet still giggling, T shook himself, sending crystally drops spiraling into the air, shivering slightly, though enjoying the warm spring sun dapple his fur, and his stunning golden eyes shone with laughter.

Mercury gave a small laugh as Dew shook her head, he laughed at himself as he realized how muddled and quick his speech had been. He sat down again right in front of her with a very pleased expression on his face still. Then she spoke again, she did not mention his name, but cocking his head to the side he thought a bit more and decided that it was adressed to him somehow. He gave a small squeak of surprise as he discovered Dew was not in front of him anymore, panicking he got up and spun around untuil he spotted her making her way towards a body of water. Uneasily he trotted towards her, not sure if he had offended her or she just needed something to drink.
Suddenly she grunted in pain, and Mercury jumped back in horror. He watched with eyes wide as she laid down, and he slowly edged closer afraid to touch her in that event it would make her worse. She talked to him while grinning for a bit, it calmed him down a bit as he still wide-eyed watched her now in a mixture of chock and fascination, what was going on? Why was Dew looking at him with a sort of happiness when she was obviously in pain? As he looked over her he noticed the odd bloating of her belly, maybe she was sick, but if she was why she be happy about it? perhaps, her bloated belly was just a natural occurence in this herd, he had absolutely no idea.

The male had not moved, and unfortunately, the painful cramps were growing. The baby was on its way, and the look on Mercury's face said that he had no idea what was going on. This would have confused Dew at any other time, but at the moment, she was much too concentrated on the task at hand. She had been worried over how long she was taking with the youngster, and happiness struck her, knowing that with Talahasi as the father, the kid would probably be strong and attractive. Her eyes closed as she grunted once more, erasing the world from her mind as she gave birth, oblivious to Mercury's obvious ignorance of the situation as the event occured.
((And there goes his innocence of babies sprouting from the ground~))

((I HATE YOU SO MUCH XD))
Mercury stood absolutely still; he did not dare moving a muscle. Everything happening right now was so strange and frightening to him, but some kind of persuasion convinced him to stand still while this occurred. His eyes widened in horror as the birth commenced, and a nauseous feeling started in his stomach, making him cough and gulp a bit. As Dew gave birth, the queasy feeling and the sight became too much for him and he had to turn away. His body shaking lightly as he stared down into the grass, what was this horrible thing going on?! There was blood coming out of her, and it scared him deeply, worse still was the image that had just been imprinted into his mind for all eternity.
Not even daring to turn around and look at her again, Mercury raised his head after a while of staring at the grass. He was still worried about Dew, should he call for help? Though more importantly, could he call for help? The thought made a shudder go through him again, what if someone was on the brink and the only thing he could do was to watch them die slowly, unable to send for help or understand what could be done so he could help. He slowly drifted around as he thought, and was again standing completely still watching her, for some reason, even though he felt sick to the stomach, there was something fascinating about what was happening before him, though it disgusted him. "Har...Har de...? Undskyld, har de brug for hjaelp? HJAELP?"(Do.. Do you...? Sorry, do you need help? HELP?) He had done what he could, still very queasy and now dizzy he resolutely watched her.

Devi watched from the corner of his eye as the Prince turned back and left. 'He must have come to make sure everything was okay.' He thought gratefully. Devi often forgot to call on the Prince himself, maybe because he had gotten so used to Threonine's uncanny ability to know when he needed to show up anyway. He was suddenly happy he'd chosen the ram as his Prince. A less aware Goennec would surely not only leave Devi looking like a fool, but might also be harder to find when he would actually be needed.
He sighed quietly as he turned his attention back to the newcomer. Seeing her in such a submissive pose, he cocked his head to the side and stared at her curiously for a moment, wondering why in the world she looked as though she was expecting some sort of punishment for Kam knows what.
Clearing his throat softly, hoping that if she wasn't paying attention to him, she would be now.
"Come. Let's take a walk and we can share stories. You tell me of your old herd, and I'll tell you about your new one, deal?" He asked kindly and took a step down the hill. He wanted her to feel more at ease than she obviously was at the moment.
Hurr~ I needed a word for 'god'. >> Went with me. -Looms above with lightning bolt- and If one of your goennecs is talking to one of mine and I missed it, let me know and I'll edit. x3 I have scramble-brain right now.

Her head moved slightly, a bit of a horrified look crossing her face.
Share stories? What am I to say?
Doe's head was reeling in memories of her last moments with her head. Her newborn's death, her exile, these were things that might make her unwanted. However, she could not lie. If she were caught, the punishment would be much worse. Not looking up, she nodded again and followed, her ears flat against her head, not wanting to seem out of place while walking next to the Prime.

"Yes, many of the herd members came from elsewhere, I guess we really are an assorted bunch," Kila said with an affectionate smile, proud of the herd. "But no, I wasn't born here. I was around one when I came actually, it was with my friend Hannie." Kila finished, remembering fondly the journey and warm welcome to the herd. "What about you?" she asked, genuinely interested in MilkyWay's history. Kila's head tilted to the side slightly as she awaited a response, her nose shimmering in reply to the sunlight shining on it.

Tammy - Depends on the doe, but usually an hour or two. x3
As they walked, Devi waited for Doe to say something, but as the seconds crept by and they neared his usual walking path, it seemed to him less and less likely that she would speak first. So, he decided to break the ice with a little reassurance of the nature of their herd. "We've been at peace for over a cycle now." He began with his head held high, pride beginning lace his blood and make him swell. This was simply an estimate, Devi wasn't the sort to pay close attention to the seasonal changes. "Before, there was a great sickness that spread through the herd, attacking our elderly most severely. The younger you where, the better chance you had at fighting it off, which is why we have only a very few elders and older soldiers and peasants. I was not the Prime at the time. nor was I the Prince. Both had been fairly old and sadly succumbed to the sickness. Our old Prime had no promising offspring and I was one of a few soldiers who stayed strong and relatively healthy through the crisis so I took over for them until finally it passed. I was named Prime and chose a Prince not long after we where sure it had gone. Since then, we've lived happily in this valley. The herd is recovering and I have hope for it's future, especially considering how many does have new kids this season." He finished his story with a large grin plastered across his otherwise proud face. He was almost prancing with pride at this point, but he kept himself in check, aware of his companion's pace.
Sorry for the random explanation guys, but Devi needed a story. xD If anyone has an issue with it, I can edit it~

Doe listened to his tale, and she noticed a small perk in his step. As she shyly looked up, she noticed a huge grin plastered on his face, much to her confusion, as the pride on his face was very different to the pride she had seen on her old Prime's face. She looked back down, the mention of kids tugging at her heartstrings in the memory of that which had been taken away from her not so long ago. The blind eyes looking up, the Prime's smug look as he banished her, all of these things rushed through her mind over and over. She shook her head violently, trying to ignore the overwhelming rage and sadness.
Instead, she looked around, noticing the life of this herd that this Prime was so proud of. She couldn't help but have a small smile cross her delicate features as she saw kids playing, does chattering about, and stags acting like kids around the females and kids, showing off or just playing around with the little ones.
Such a strange herd...

He watched her as she seemed to silently struggle with her memories and thoughts and his mood dropped a little. He waited for a moment to see if she would respond with a story of her own, but she remained silent. 'Is she shy?' Devi thought to himself. 'I'm sure she's not being rude purposely' Again, he considered what to say to attempt to bring her out of her silence. Suggesting by example hadn't worked so maybe she needed something a little more outright. "So tell me" he began, working through the many questions in his head to pick one, "I'm assuming you didn't have a kid this season seeing as you are alone, is this true? Or was he lost when you fled?"

As Devi spoke, Doe's ears flattened. There was no questioning it, she had to speak to answer this question. Seeing as how it had been such a direct one at that, she was certain she wouldn't get in trouble for answering. The question was what bothered her however. How could he insinuate she had lost her kid? No doe was so irresponsible. And fled? She had been thrown as an outcast by that savage she had called Prime!
Rage was bristling inside of the quiet female, but her body showed none of it, knowing any outburst could guarantee a beating, especially in front of the Prime. An awkward silence followed his question, and she knew she was being rude by not answering, so she assumed the regular pose, her eyes straight on the ground as she spoke.
"He was killed."

"What?" The prime was shocked at the answer, especially considering how calmly she had stated the fact. He suddenly forgot his manners, instead being intent on hearing what would surely be an interesting story. The use of the word 'killed', which implies a murder or accident of some sort, rather than 'died', which she would probably have used if he had been stillborn or something, had him very curious. A myriad of questions began to fly around in his head as his eyes grew wide and he took on the expression of a young kid anticipating a bed time story. "What killed him? Is that why you left? Did it kill everyone else too? Why didn't it kill you too? . . ." He stopped himself, suddenly realizing he was probably being rude, and bit his lip to keep himself from asking any more.

Doe was taken aback by the sudden curiosity that had overtaken the Prime. Her ear twitched curiously, and she dared to look up at him and see his wide eyed expression. The smile that had brightened her face a few moments ago was no longer there, and instead, a blank, unreadable expression had taken place while the bobtailed doe hesitated. There was no way to avoid these questions, as they had been very direct, and the thought that the answer might get her kicked out of this herd as well had her terrified to her bones. She continued walking next to the black stag, and she thought about the words she would use to answer, after all, all she had to say was that she had an affected, and it would explain itself quite nicely.
"Not what... but who... I was in my Prime's harem this Siv, and I shamed his line by giving birth to an affected."
She finished with no extra explanation, knowing that after an affected was born, it was killed, and the mother was sent into exile, unaware that other herds would not have this as a norm.

Sec paced along the water's edge, tossing his white horns in worry. He had a feeling that something was off... but he couldn't tell what. The spirits on the Other Plane were agitated, whispering things that... he just couldn't decipher. He felt that he was losing his mind, constantly on the edge of panic. He murmured to himself wildly, his voice jumping tones and mashing letters haphazardly, not caring if any of it was decipherable. The muscles on his back twitched constantly, making his flaxen mane bush out. What is wrong with me? What is this... madness...?
