Liwa- Liwa smiled, and flickered her tail. Walking up the slope she sniffed the air, it was pleasant. Trotting down it, she looked around and dug at some of the grass. She was hungry, and tired and her legs ached so she nibbled at the grass before feeling much better. Slowly, she lay down and looked back up at Fig. Smiling she motioned for him to lay next to her " Lay next to me Fig! " She said, looking at him with a smile. A soft breeze blew by, Liwa already felt a little better from resting she waited to see what Fig would say though, before she would decide to sleep or not.
Jay- Jay smiled, and flicked her tail. " Hi Fawn! I'm Jay and sure i'll be your friend" She sat down and licked some of her ruffled fur as a breeze blew by softly. Pawing the dirt, she stood up again and twitched her ear. Sniffing the breeze, she looked around before saying " So.. how are you? " She looked at Fawn, curious to know more about the doe, she had seen her around but never went to talk to her. Fawn was around her age anyway, Jay hoped they would get along.

Moses chuckled. "And we'll need all the room we can get this year. It smells stronger this year than it has before. Or I'm just getting old and senile... a possibility, but one I'd love to rule out." With a small smile, he looked over the little meadow, watching the herd settle in, watching for the beginning signs of harems. Of course, with the area being so much smaller, it was far more difficult to spot such things; clear "boundaries" couldn't be established with such a large herd in such a small space. Not to mention, many Goennecs followed family members... so some were with mothers or sires... or brothers. Certainly not the proper harem composition.
"I am not sure it would be wise to completely open the season before we settle into the larger space. Perhaps advise rams to start gathering... but hold their battles until we're past the other trail. Otherwise... we may not get there before the season's end, we'll have to stop for each fight."
Sec frowned, craning his neck, then shook his head. "I don't know what's going on," he said, trying to enunciate as clearly as possible so that the other ram might understand. "We might be getting close, though. Do you need to rest?" Truthfully, he had noticed the trembling, and had started to worry a bit, wondering if he could bear the weight of the slightly smaller Goennec. He doubted he could - after all, he spent too much time wandering around the Lost Plane to build up enough muscle mass. While he could run and fight... he wasn't built for strength.

Watching Sec carefully, Keete was able to pick up the majority of his words. He could piece together enough to respond, and he did so slowly, his breath not coming in gasps; but slowly nonetheless.
"I... I would not object.. to. To rest."
His eyes darted back and forth across the other goennec's face. He did not want to be seen as a weakling, but his reasoning stopped him in his tracks. He would rather be alive and weak than dead, and he knew his legs would not support him much longer.
"Thank you, Secretariat. I appreciate your assistance. However, if you wish to carry on while I rest in order to rejoin the herd, I would not object nor be offended."
He inclined his head as a display of respect for the other Goennec, and waited; lowering himself to the ground in a laying position as he did so.

Now that she'd finally gotten a positive reaction from this new doe, Dallas could hardly contain herself. How lucky she was to be in such a nice place, talking to such a nice doe, on such a nice day! Surely she was a lucky little goennec indeed.
She gave her whole body a little wiggle, letting it whip her tail into another furious little frenzy, then huffed happily, managing to keep her grin, and led the way towards the opposite end of the little spring-fed pond. She bounced along, not even attempting to mask her good mood. And why should she? A little infectious happiness was never a waste in her opinion.
Devarsi furrowed his brow. Moses had a point, beginning the season now would make the remainder of the journey difficult. Was Devi just letting his hormones, now raging angrily at how he'd been ignoring them, get the better of his judgment? Maybe, after all, he was honestly having a hard time focusing on anything else for any length of time anymore. However, he had already put it off and they were usually quite a few days in by now. To wait another moon cycle until they where in their long-term temporary home? To put it off that long would mean kids born much later next year, possibly endangering their winter survival. Perhaps, a long, well deserved and much needed rest wasn't a possibility right now. The next leg of the journey honestly wasn't too much farther and a couple days here, just to relax their sore muscles would mean he could start the siv in the next spot and the herd's kids would still have a good chance of being old enough to get through the winter. He wasn't sure he'd be able to break up any premature battles, or keep himself from engaging for that matter, if he allowed them to begin gathering harems now. The other alternative, to stay longer, would put the does at risk. Food would start to run short about halfway through and then to make them travel after going hungry for a while would not be wise at all.
"Hmmm . . . " Devi scrunched his nose, not at all happy about the thought of holding back even more. "That's an angle I hadn't considered." He said carefully. He was suddenly aware of how limited his experience was as a Prime, thinking it a good idea to gather Moses' opinion on the matter. Pushing his pride away for a moment, pride that would have otherwise forced him to refuse to look weak by asking help, he decided to be straightforward. After all, A Prime was expected to heed the advise of the Elders.
"Do you think I may be able to get away with only a short stop here, maybe only two or three days? If so, and if the next leg goes well, we can be to our new home in six or seven days. Then the siv could let loose without any struggle to contain it for some time." He tried to shield his disappointment at the idea of this, but he was sure a hint of it must have snuck through. He hoped Moses wouldn't pick up on it. "I don't want to put this season's kids in danger of being too young for next winter's weather, but I cannot ask expecting does to travel like they would have to if we waited here through the siv." He felt no need to mention the problem of food availability. He thought that would be fairly obvious to the older ram when considering the length of the season and size of the oasis.
(I'm assuming Moses is an Elder, though if I goessed wrong, lemme know and I'll tweak Devi's response. x] )

-Doe-
Following after Dallas, Doe was quite contempt to give the white ewe the lead. The golden female never responded well when she was faced with the responsability of leading, and felt much more at ease being kept behind. She couldn't help but feel a bit more light at heart at the obvious, infecting happiness the snubbed nose doe carried in her every step, either, her smile staying for far longer in her normally distant face. Looking at her surroundings as she followed Dallas, Doe couldn't help but notice that this place was much smaller than the herd's old home, and with this discovery came worry. Even her previous herd, which was much smaller, had more space than this oasis they now lay in, and while it was comfortable for now, Doe couldn't help but start feeling uncomfortable at how much closer all of the goennecs were keeping themselves. It was nowhere near cramped, but the ability to keep a large gap between herself and the herd was no longer as accessible as it had been in the grasslands by the forest. This thought made Doe's smile slowly fade away, her paws still following the affected female by instinct as her mind wandered.

" I'm a bit tired from the journey here." she said smiling, she was glad to have another friend. Laying down softly she looked up at the other goey. "How was the journey on you? I know it was hard on some of my other freinds." She tilted her head curiously. She licked one of her legs gently, looking around to take in their surrounds better as she waits for her friends reply.
Lavantia found tohru and began grazing beside her. "Where's fawn?" she asked curiouslly. Tohru looked up at her and smiled "shes making friends with jay." she said simpley before beginning to graze a little.
Talahasi made his way into the new grounds, already restless from the approaching siv. He was curious about the female he had met at their old home, and was hoping to see her again.

-Blossom-
Delicate green hooves following after the ramboctuous, playful green yearling, Blossom's face lit in a gentle, sweet smile as she watched her twins race towards the newfound source of water, clearly eager for a drink. The breeze ruffling her crisp, green tipped mane, the tender doe breathed in the mountain air encompassing the oasis, grateful for the rest. She had done her best during the journey to act like the tough, nomad herd doe so many knew her as, keeping up the pace with two kids beside her and no complaints from her part, but in reality, her muscles ached horribly and her body cried for rest. Moreover, she was ecstatic at their encounter with Adonis and Dinali, the Prince from her old herd and her best friend, and eternally grateful that neither had so far relieved the truth about her pet history. There were a few goennecs with a domestic history in the herd, but Blossom hated that part of her past and wished it remain hidden.
Her mind wandering into the length of their journey, Blossom couldn't help but be sad that it was coming to a small pause. Despite not loving the constant moving and usually worrying about her two yearlings, she couldn't help but sadden at the realization that the two would probably now keep their usual distance, making her once more ache for their constant company. With these thoughts, her purple gaze slowly turned to Devarsi, who now stood talking to one of the elders of the herd. Would he look for her this year, despite her having had so much problems with her birth the previous year, or would he prefer to keep his distance, satisfied with those two kids to continue his line with hers and look for stronger, more suitable candidates to birth the kids of a Prime?

Claire continued her slow process of tapping and inching down the slope, reassured by the presence of her companions. Her mind was soley focussed on the task of not taking a wrong step, and she was therefore fairly suprised when the ground suddenly flattened out. Not quite believing it, the little doe turned in a hesitant circle, pawing at the grass. Brazenly, Claire then hopped forward, bleating excitedly when she found that the grass underfoot was still soft and level. Both exhausted and euphoric, she promptly flopped on the ground, wriggling her tail and grinning up in the general direction of her two friends. It would be nice to rest and explore here, especially now that she had such wonderful companions watching over her. After a moment, the golden doe got to her feet and shook out her coat, tail swishing with excitement as she scented the new air around her.

[[You got it right, Kam-Kam. c: Also... apologies, for repetitive post is repetitive and full of repetition.]]
Moses smiled, watching over the herd as he considered his answer. "A short rest would be best... I'd say one or two days. Keep them a little tired, it'll distract them from the season. Those that need more of a rest - the young, the sick, the decrepit... some of us strong geezers can stick with them. We'll just have to know the way." While he didn't care for the idea of being left behind, it really was for the best of the herd if they weren't allowed to rest for long; weariness would mask the season only for as long as the herd remained that way.
Flicking his tail, he eyed the soon-to-be yearlings, hoping they, at least, were enjoying the adventure more than those with old joints like his - though, he was enjoying the whole trip in his own way, tired body or not.
"We will find a way to survive, my Prime. We're Goennecs... it's what we do, what we're put here to do. If we lose some knowing we've done everything that we can to try and save them, then at least we know that we tried. And that's all, really, that anyone could ever ask of us."
Sec watched Keete sink to the ground and, without too much hesitation, settled down beside him. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he just walked off and left his companion to whatever predators might be out there, especially since the other ram's spirit would then find him when he crossed to the other Plane... just... no.
"We've gone a long way... rest would be good for the both of us." Smiling, he perked up his ears, enjoying taking his weight off of his hooves for the moment. There were far worse things to do than rest, anyway.

He nodded as he watched the other male lower himself to the ground beside him. The tension that had been growing in his shoulders released, as he realized he would not be without his companion. "Yes, rest is good." He let his breath through his nose in a small huff, and he closed his eyes; trusting in his protector fully. He had no doubts of his safety, not while he was in the midst of Sec. A small hint of a smile graced his mouth as he realized how fully he trusted the other male.
Kin threw her eyes open. Only a few moments seemed to have passed since she had closed them, but she felt as if she had laid in the cool grasses for an immeasurable length of time. Ahka stood protectively nearby, looking at her between short intervals of glancing away, his face contorted into a look of amusement at her kid-like stupor.
He had to admit, he was amused. He still loved to look at her, noticing how this doe stayed by him and near him and how perfect everything was with her. He needed her. And she was there. He walked over to Kin, letting his paw touch her side. "Enjoying yourself?"

Ah good x] your hints were useful, but I am never sure if I am reading subtlety correctly, lol
Devi let the idea sink in. It had been a while since they'd had a rest and living in such a calm valley had perhaps made many of them too soft for things like this. Even he was tired, his paws and hooves throbbed dully and his joints felt stiff and sore. He was young and fit (or as fit as the majority of them anyway) so if he was feeling the effects he could only imagine how the older, weaker, and less able most be feeling.
"I'd say two days then." he said, still thinking carefully about how much rest would be needed to complete the journey. "Those of us who are strong could probably do with only one day without too much trouble, but I would not want to move sooner than two days with how many stragglers we seem to have."
He thought suddenly of Forest Run and her mate, Lu Ten. He had not seen them yet and a pang of worry shot through his chest, settling uneasily in his gut. He calmed himself, repeating in his head that they would be fine, Lu was still strong and could easily support Forest if she got tired. Not to mention, either one would send out an alarm at the first sign of trouble for the other. No, they where likely just bringing up the rear.
I think we agreed on having Dallas and Doe just wander alone for a bit, Tammy? Let me know if you're expecting a reply for her~
Also, how are we doing on getting everyone into the oasis? Once everyone is in, we can figure out what to do next and if we want another time-skip. :]

DuneThe dark, sandy coloured Goennec plodded alone and morose through the herd. The idea of a place to rest was nice, but her mind wouldn't settle enough to let her relax at all. Her eyes flickered with unease a strange fire glowing in there golden depths as she appraised the herd silently. She snorted once to herself in amusement. Insanity seemed have settled alongside excitement at the stop in many of the Goeys. Rafiki &RafeThe two males rose over the hill and found themselves a nice spot to settle and relax. They weren't hungry, having found plenty to eat on the journey through luck. Without asking the settled next to each other and Rafe began carefully grooming twigs and dirt from his friends mane knowing he would be paid back in full. As his companion cleaned him up Rafiki watched the herd with sleepy eyes. SparrowHer eyes darted uneasily as she regarded the large group. Her paws twitched uneasily and her ears flicked back as she warily regarded the creatures around her. She shivered, not through cold but through fear. She hated being alone, wished she had some friends to spend time with. With a soft sigh she shook her head and moved to a lone corner watching patiently. OOC: Uncle fixed it, permanently this time ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) And so all my Goeys are open for interaction. Fig.
Fig followed the doe with pleasure, her eager steps followed by his heavier ones as they crossed the new land that would provide food and rest for them. At the does words Fig slipped from a sort of imaginary state where he was just watching her and thinking how graceful she was, to one where he was aware of everything again. Teach him to daydream. Twitching an ear, which betrayed a hint of nerves, Fig grinned at his companion widely. Tossing his thick mane back he suddenly felt the long walk in his very bones and the soft grass below his feet looked soft and incredibly inviting. With a pleased sigh he lowered his body to the ground and smiled, a small grunt escaping his throat with pleasure as the soft floor caught him. A quick smile at his companion confirmed she was still happy with his company, or so it seemed anyway. Tilting his head to one side he flicked his tail in a lazy fashion. Pleased to be able to relax at last. 'I already like this place' he decided bending his head to nibble at a patch of sweet lush grass, smiling as he did so 'I'm glad for the chance to rest, how are you feeling after the journey?' He asked nibbling on the grass once more, keeping one eye on his friend and companion.
Flip. As the ground leveled and Clare stepped from the slope to the valley floor Flip couldn't help a laugh of delight from slipping past his muzzle. The doe looked carefree as her initial puzzlement turned to happy celebration, he pranced in a small circle around her, briefly celebrating with her. As the doe stood and shook her coat out he followed her steps, touching his muzzle to her flank in a tender gesture of friendship. Lifting his head again he laughed at Penny 'thats not a bad idea, splashing her' grinning now happy he stepped up next to Clare once more and shoulder to shoulder helped guide her towards the water. 'Once we've drank we should rest, if you and Clare want to sleep a while I'm still good to keep and eye out. In case' he offered wondering what the far off look on Penny's face indicated. Deciding not to intrude with her thoughts he lowered his head to drink, enjoying the cool water on his hot muzzle. Tomorrow he would bathe and clean himself but for now this was nice.

[/b] She murmured softly, bending her head down to drink her fill of water. Then she shifted slightly and ate a bit of grass, wondering if there were any good tasting berries here. She did hope so. Once she was full, Penny lay down. She let her fur touch Claire's feet, so the ewe would know that Penny had just changed position, and was free to lay down as well. Now that she actually was able to rest, Penny was very tired, and her paws seemed to ache. Things would be fine though, and Penny was looking forward to feeling energized in a bit. Ayako
A bird suddenly burst free from a oak's clutches, screeching a horrible note that would hurt anyone's ears and clawing at the thin air as it struggled in its panic. A polished, rather solid dark bay ewe with a massive, dark tree mark with dirty white bud-like dots rising out of her hindquarters was resting a hind leg as her sharp eyes tracked the movement of the bird, blinking lazily and exhaling. Bird. The word rung in her head, as if they were bouncing off the sides of her skull as the ewe chewed over the word over and over. Ayako tilted her head to one side slightly, now staring at the tree in which the bird had broken free from. What had made that creature's heart pound? What had made that bird fly away so fast? What? What? This new word echoed in Ayako's head, as she started to slowly pick apart the situation, trying to read in between the lines.
As Ayako's face was pulled into a deep, lost-in-thought expression as she neared her conclusion, she caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of her eye - it was a murky, brown-like blur, blending in slightly with the enviroment. What immediately sprung to mind again, as her conclusion was lost amongst her thoughts.

Easily crossing his front hooves, Sec watched as Keete settled to rest, on alert for any approaching danger. Every now and again, he closed his eyes, trying to read the energies on the other Plane, begging the spirits there to keep an eye out for danger - not that many of them concerned themselves with the living, let alone were willing to help them escape a fight.
No, he'd have to rely on his own senses. And, as good as they were, they weren't coming up with any signs of approaching doom... and he'd just have to trust that as he waited for his new friend - yes, he decided, Keete was more than an acquaintance at this point - to rest up.
Moses smiled, nodding. "And two days it shall be, my Prime. The herd can take the wait... perhaps tell them not to get too comfy?" Carefully, he stood, his creaky joints bearing his weight loyally as they had for well over two decades. He would certainly need a nice soaking in a large puddle, or something to soothe his tired old body. And then, he'd have to return to jogging the herd perimeter as he had when he was younger and fitter... maybe then, he'd be able to take long trips without feeling like such an old, rickety coot.
"The other Elders are takin' their time. I hope it's not a bad sign."
Baron jumped, having accidentally broken the twig that had startled the bird, which had, in turn, scared the daylights out of him. His ears pressed back, he tried not to make a sound as he retreated several feet, his hooves dancing between leaves and twigs as he made his escape. Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunate, depending - he also noticed that he wasn't alone; catching glimpses of the dark intruder, he paused, not wanting to make another sound to flag his position, and hoping that he hadn't been seen. He didn't want to be called an unlucky demon-freak anymore; he'd had enough of that, and was only sticking near to the herd that reminded him of so much pain for protection. He was lucky that it was large enough to follow without detection.... but now, it was apparently his off-day.
Standing stock-still, he tried calming his breath and slowing his racing heart. Perhaps he would be lucky and could escape this time.

(If this isnt right please tell me what i should add. Need to gt better at rping)
Lavantia looked around, noicing the herd settling arround her and she had to admitt the prime had picked the perfect place to rest at. Something told her though this wouldn't be the last leg of their journey. She hoped that they would be able to return to their homeland, but for now they couldn't she would have to make the best out of it. She decided that maybe it was time to explore; She might even make a new friend on the way. She wandered over to where faawn was and smiled, she had made a new friend and Lavantia new that was important. Looking around she saw a lone doe, she looked like she needed friend as well. As she got closer she reliezed it was sparrow. She smiled to herself, she had never met the young doe but she hoped they could be good friends. She troted up to her, "Hi Sparrow I'm Lavantia." she said happily. She hoped she didn't scare her by being so forward, and acting like a youngling.
(I hope this was addequate if it needs more pm me please.)
