((Sorry I'm not active/great with RPing at the moment, I've been studying/really tired. ^^ ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) Ayako
The chiseled, polished head of the ewe swung around in a semicircle slowly, her eyes searching, hunting for some sign, and her ears flickering in all sorts of directions, drinking in any sounds that may lead her right to the 'culprit'. As she had just passed over one shadow underneath a couple of trees, Ayako had a double take. A ghost of a frown passed over Ayako's face as her eyes locked onto one shadow in particular.. It was misshapen. It couldn't possibly be a shadow cast by a tree towering overhead. Appreciation of what might happen, what could be there, caused her skin to crawl and her heart to beat a bit faster as adrenaline slipped into her bloodstream.
Before she could even think, will, to move, her legs had decided to move of their own accord towards the shadow at a quick walk.Oscar
A small, yellow head stuck out at a awkward angle from behind a bush. The horns of a ram rested on its head, with ears that flopped awkwardly around, with navy blue markings resting upon his jaw that curved into a natural smile. An actual smile tugged at the corners of the ram's mouth as his eyes landed on some fine-looking ewes - he didn't know what they were called - was it Sparrow and Lavantia? In any case, he'd try and see if he could somehow befriend them and slip in a joke or two, since Ayako had decided to be all boring and had walked off somewhere where Oscar couldn't find her.
Stepping out from behind the poor excuse of a bush, he was revealed to be a rather small ram. Oscar arched his neck, picking up a loose jog towards the two ewes.

Jay smiled " It was alright, I guess. I helped Theorine a little bit with making sure that all the other herd members didn't need any help " She replied twitching her ear. Jay lay down too, she hoped Fawn didn't mind her laying with her. Nibbling some of the grass, Jay realized how tired and hungry she was. So she continued to eat, but still alert and listening to Fawn. Jay yawned, and for a while fought to keep her eyes open, but she knew she couldn't just fall asleep on Fawn. That wouldn't be a good thing to do, especially since they just met.
-
Liwa smiled, the breeze softly blew by, ruffling her mane. Sniffing, she sneezed and nibbled some of the grace, slightly embarrassed. "Oh it was okay, at least until I found you! I felt so lonely since no one would walk with me " She replied, smiling at him. "But the trip, was so very tiring, I'm glad to be resting here. It is really a nice place, we probably wont stay here long, since it is quite to small for our herd but its something." She said, not very concerned, but more tiredness in her voice showed. Liwa yawned, showing her pearly white teeth, and coughed. Her ears went back, she felt embarrassed not acting so well in front of him. Ladies were suppose to be well mannered, not rude as she felt she was being.

Sparrow The youngster was stood alone when he heard a voice. "Huh? Hmm?" she said and then realized she was being spoke to. Her head shot up and she smiled. "Uh Hi Lavantia, I would introduce myself but I see you already know my name" she said with a warm smile stretching across her muzzle. She shook her head making her mane ruffle a little. "You enjoying the trip?" she asked kindly trying to be polite.

[Sorry it took me so long to answer you, Tam. I have no excuse apart being lazy.] ~Finlay~ A wave of relief washed over the dark ram when he set eyes on the small valley. He was too proud to let it show, but his whole body was aching from walking. He was no nomad at all, and he could barely wait to lay down in the grass and rest his hooves and paws. He took a deep breath, smelling the cold air.
He glanced sideway towards Blossom, whom was once again looking bittersweet. Finlay wondered if she ever stopped worrying, and when was the last time he had seen her smile honestly. Not like he cared that much about her problems, but she was most beautiful when she smiled. He followed her gaze towards Devarsi, and couldn't help but grunted in disapproval.
He would need to act soon, before someone else would come and ask the doe about the Siv. She was his, and he would let no ram get her. Tonight maybe, or on the morrow, when they would have rested.
"I don't know about you, but I'm glad I can finally give my legs a break. It sure is grueling to walk so many days in a row. We should rest and eat while we can. Is there anything you want me to find you, dear?" he asked with a reassuring smile.

Takuo's energy had wavered, and he had been travelling with his head down, body braced against the terrain. At first it had been an adventure, the adventure of all adventures! But soon he realised it was much harder than he had anticipated, and he was exhausted. He began to take a step, then perked his ears as he heard the Prime Devarsi call to them and he bounded down into the small valley, feeling re flooded with energy.
Kaze scrambled down the hillside and trotted to the spring, his mane wavering in the breeze as he bent to lap from the delicious, fresh, water. The journey had taken a toll on them all, but he was still upbeat and determined to make the best of it.BLAAAARGH had no idea how to join in so have a cruddy post :B

-Blossom-
Her gaze still on Devarsi, Blossom did a small jump as she heard a voice beside her, and she quickly turned around only to see Finlay laying beside her, a smile on his face. A bit embarrased, Blossom's right ear gave an involuntary twitch, a shy smile returning his own reassuring one regardless. Her mind had so instantly turned to her young and the stag that had sired them the year before she had all but forgotten about Finlay, and how could she, after he had so graciously accompanied her during their journey? If she was not more attentive of the dark ram, surely he would take offense and find more suitable companions for the rest of the journey. Shaking her head, she decided to avoid this and despite her quiet nature, forced small talk, wanting to show his attention was appreciated.
"I had not had to walk for so long in over a year now. I had forgotten how tiring it can be, especially when we are going uphill," she responded, laying down gently next to him as she spoke. A yawn escaped her, her purple eyes closing momentarily. It was not sleep she wished for, but rest was definitely sounding good at the moment. "Thank you for the offer, Finlay, but you need rest, we all do. The journey won't be half as pleasant if you were to get hurt on my behalf, after all," she added candidly, her purple gaze landing on his gray, a serene concern in her eyes momentarily fleeting for a moment, a somewhat teasing glint took it's place as she continued. "I will make sure you are the first ram I bother if I need something."

Fawn Looked over a jay, noting how tired the other young goey appeared to be and noted that the travel appeared to have taken a toll on the other youngster. Fawn herself was desperatly tired, and her legs hurt from the long walk. She knew this was probally not their destination, just a resting place for them. It wasn't big enough to support the herd over a long period of time. She wondered how far it was till they would reach their actual destination. For now though it was best to rest a recuperate from the travels they had already taken. Turniing to Jay she said, " Hey maybe we should take a nap and rest up." She yawned lightly and set her head on her front legs.

Jay who was half asleep half awake nodded, her eyelids felt heavy and she yawned. She wondered if Fawn was as tired as she was, she felt so much better laying down and resting her aching legs. She could barely focus as Fawn was talking to her and she felt terrible. She mumbled a yes, hoping that it would be able to be understood so she nodded as well. Smiling at Fawn, who lay next to her she lay her head down and fell into a deep sleep. Jay snored softly as she breathed heavily, twitched a few times as she dreamed they would be walking forever.

Claire let out a startled little bleat upon being splashed with water. She pinned back her ears for a moment, confused and indignant at this arbitrary betrayal. Upon realizing that the pond was closer than she had thought, however, she quickly forgave Penny for her good-intended actions, and practically flung herself at the water, knee-deep in it as she drank happily. The little doe stopped only when she felt Penny shift away. Lifting her head from the water, the fur on her chin dripping, she hummed with curiosity. She quickly decided that drinking more water wasn't worth missing out on whatever her friends were doing next. After shuffling back out of the water, Claire moved over to Penny's side again, and was a bit disappointed to find that the other doe was apparently planning to rest.
But we just got here! There are so many new things to investigate!
Claire yawned widely, then, and acquiesced. ... She really was quite tired. She flopped down next to Penny, curling herself snugly against the larger doe's side, much like a kid would with its mother. Though she was more than ready to fall asleep right then, Claire bleated quietly in Flip's direction, wanting to be sure that her other friend was still present.

Takuo gave a large yawn as he scrambled over the edge of the hillside, entering the rolling valley below and gave himself a vigorous shake, his legs shaking slightly with exhaustion. He hadn't slept well for the past couple of days and was therefore absolutely out of energy. He stumbled over a small rock protruding out of the hillside, then scrambled to catch his balance. "Wha-!" he cried, as he tumbled ears over tail, stomach over back down the hillside, until he slammed into something with a resounding thud. He groaned and rolled slightly, then gave up, leaving himself in the awkward position he had landed in, his mane puffed out completely and his once-shining golden fur dusty and covered in debris. He shook his head in an attempt to clear it then realized as he did so that the thing he had bumped in to so abruptly was not a thing at all, but a goennec. He felt his skin grow hot, and gazed up into her eyes, suddenly realising the embarrassment of the situation. "H...hello there!" he greeted with an embarrassed giggle, his ears flat.

As Kin felt Ahka's paw, she looked up and saw his now-unamused expression. Kin let out a huff of air as she heard his scathing remark. Thankfully, she knew him well enough that she could hear the joking undertone in his voice. Very much, thanks. Care to join me? Kin whipped her leg underneath his, knocking his balance off. He fell to the ground with a satisfying thud, his mane askew and a determined pout upon his face. And Kin's grin stretched entirely across her face.
A bit dramatic, don't you think? He tossed his head, attempting to straighten his mane, but the motions had no effect. Well, since you enjoy theatrics so much, perhaps you will enjoy... this! He quickly leaned over and began nipping at her mane, pulling the light hairs. She squealed, and rolled over quickly as she attempted to get away. Her feet found her and she leapt across the grass and began to canter away. Oh, but he knew how to play. Ahka was up and on his feet, chasing her before he had even blinked.

Lavantia
Lavntia looked at the ground and then back up at the other female. "It was tiring," she sighed a bit." I dont think i've walked so far in awhile." She looked towards their home the put her head down to graze in thegrass. "I doubt we are at the end of it yet, I hope though one day we will return home." She looks back up and smiles, " but how was your travel so far?" she asked curiously. She was tired and really wanted to rest, but she knew making friends was important. Plus she was curious of her herd mates' well being.

Threonine A place to rest, though temporary in lack of sustenance, was much welcome. Threonine now found himself among those who felt relief at this chance to relax, but he could not bring himself to do so. Ever since that terrible monster, the fire with its deadly tendrils of smoke, had come to invade their land, he had felt somewhat restless. Even now, with no real reason to continue walking, he could not hold himself still. As goennecs continued to slowly stream towards the water, he positioned himself on the outer rim and paced back and forth quietly, watching the horizon all that lurked before it. While he generally enjoyed the company of his companions, particularly Jay during the journey, at this moment he did not feel like speaking to them. A more ancient urge was nudging at the back of his mind, and pacing here helped him to ignore it.
Norman Norman felt it too. That unfortunate want to begin gathering a harem for the Siv. He could have groaned in misery. Even if the beginning of the event was announced by the Prime, he would not be allowed to participate. Virgil would make sure of that. To Norman's unending distaste, the other ram stayed constantly by his side, smiling and going on about this and that. How lovely their temporary home was, the smell of grass and fresh water, etc. Norman often preferred to tune these things out. Virgil was allowed a harem, and no doubt he would endeavor to construct one as soon as the signal was given, but up to this point he had shown little interest in doing so. Clearly Virgil was satisfied with Norman's sour company, and Norman wasn't sure how to react to that. As long as this kept up, it would be nearly impossible to slip away and attempt to gather does for himself. Norman sighed, and eventually settled himself next to the water, watching the crowd out of the corners of his eyes. Virgil was always nearby, but soon busied himself in talking to the celestial twins, Stargazer and Milky Way, while Stargazer's son trotted off to find a better playmate.
Dee "Hurry up." Dee snapped at Guru, who was having a significant amount of trouble making it down to where most of the herd had gathered. She would never have admitted it, but even Dee was tired from all this walking. She was frequently a bit impatient, but not usually with her old father. Guru never made efforts to encourage a fight, but he was clearly exhausted. She understood now why he had been so insistent on staying in the valley. He was getting too old for journeys like this, his joints popped when he walked, and his face would contort briefly in pain. But Dee kept nudging him along, and eventually he quit complaining. Dee couldn't imagine what she would do if they made it all this way and Guru died because he couldn't walk properly to the water. It was so close... She didn't care much about blood relationships, but at the same time felt some amount of responsibility for the elder. He'd never taken a mate, so she had become a sort of part-time friend, assisting whenever necessary. Now Dee gave an impatient snort of frustration. Guru still stayed stuck at the top of the rise, now fallen to his knees. She took but a brief moment to glance over the crowd before approaching Henna. A doe was as good as any ram in her opinion. "I need help." She barked, with a bit more force than intended. "On of the elders is stuck, and if I push him down by myself he's bound to break all his legs. Think you could spare a moment?"

She murmured, standing up and shaking her bobbed tail. "I wouldn't want his legs to break or bruise, so I believe that I wouldn't mind helping you out." Having the legs break on a Goennec was as bad as being born without a mouth. You couldn't live. How would you move away when a predator was coming? How could you clean yourself or get to a pond when there was no way of moving? It was a horrible thought that Henna wished upon on no one. Especially not the elder, Guru. He seemed to be in enough pain lately, and didn't deserve to get more. Padding over to Dee, Henna assessed the situation and stood there for a moment, working out different solutions and their possible outcomes. It wasn't smart to go ahead and make a plan to do without thinking about what could happen because of it. You had to be smart, and to be smart, you had to think smart too. "Alright. Pushing him down the hill wouldn't be a very good idea. I suggest we stand on either side of him and life him up, then shuffle down the slope. From there we can bring him to the pond and let him drink and eat some." She then decided, looking at Dee. [/ul]

Dee Filled with some odd sense of relief at Henna's willingness to help, Dee nodded her appreciation. "Alright, sounds like a plan." Under different circumstances, Dee would have attempted to carry him down on her back. But Guru was both larger and heavier than the doe, and in this state (Dee couldn't imagine that anyone wasn't a bit tired) that just wasn't going to happen. It was difficult to admit though. Her competitive nature demanded to outdo everyone at everything. Shame that wasn't physically possible. She let out a brief huff. At least there was less shame in asking Henna for assistance. She knew there was a reason does made for better friends than rams. As a general rule, anyway.
Pressing her side against Guru, with Henna on his other flank, Dee began to take careful steps down. Don't slip. Her foot caught on a rock, and she kicked it aside in agitation. Dee barred her teeth at invisible enemies, and continued on the way down. Don't slip. She wondered briefly what sort of plants this tiny valley might provide. Plants to eat, to rub on the nose and roll in...

Guru Guru was exhausted. The sort of exhausted that doesn't allow for pride, or anger, or happiness, or really anything else. He couldn't feel any self pity, not for being old and having stiff joints that didn't work well. Not for knowing, feeling, that he wasn't the same robust ram he'd once been. Guru wasn't really like that to begin with, but if there had been a time for self-pity, it would have been now. Instead, he saw, smelled, tasted, could almost touch a single ultimate goal. His mortality lay not in question, for there ahead was water. And obviously he would make it to that water. I mean, come on, that was sort of a given. Guru didn't question that, just as he didn't question the polite does leading him to the water. Mighty stars above, community sure did come in handy. The old ram blinked his big green eyes and smiled. "Flat land, you say? My, sounds as good as heaven." The actual course downward was not so difficult with the help of two others. Guru might not have been able to accomplish the simple feat on his own, but the situation had turned in his favor so that he had no choice but to take advantage of it. Move forth! Or whatever he'd have said when he was younger. Maybe something silly. But that shouldn't be confined to youth. He considered this even as his feet touched the first of soft grass and smooth earth. To say it was nice would have been an understatement. He just wanted to take a drink and sit down. Maybe find something to eat, after a nice, long nap. "How should an old goat go about repaying such kindness?" He spoke his thoughts aloud, referring mainly to Henna as opposed to his daughter. Dee knew that he appreciated her company (nearly as well as her absence), and the joy of saying so had long since worn off.

Takuo gave an embarrassed grin, still tummy up in the feathery grass. "Uhm..." he paused, feeling his fur grow hot. "Er...I guess so," he finished lamely, averting his golden eyes from hers. "I'm T." he said, rolling upright and giving his coat a vigorous shake with a cheesy, embarrassed smile, ears flat back.
